"This is no time for jokes child!!" One of the drunken men in the bar shouted, standing straight up from his seat. "This is no mere pest, it is a Plague Dragon, the fiercest creature on the planet! No earthly sword, arrow, or spear can pierce its hide, it has command over fire and its mere presence spreads sickness, so tell me, how are three drifters going to stop the beast?!" The man exclaimed, the rest of the bar getting restless as well, convinced the group was mocking their suffering. Before the Reaper and Twili could respond, Alkilai stood from the counter and faced the people of the tavern.
"Alright, alright, calm down everyone!" He said, luckily getting the people to settle down. "Look, believe what you want, but we really are here to take down the Plague Dragon. Please excuse my friend for asking some unnecessary questions and making bold claims, I promise we weren't trying to offend you." He assured, though the townsfolk still seemed defensive. "If there's anything you'd like to tell us regarding the Dragon, anything at all, don't hesitate to approach us, but we won't pry any further, you have my word." The bar was silent for a moment, the man who started the confrontation stared at the Nephilim, as if judging his character. Eventually he begrudgingly sucked at his teeth.
"Eh, fine, whatever, if you kids want to throw lives away then be my guest, just... just leave us out of it, please." He practically begged, fighting off tears as he sat back down and chugged down the rest of this beverage. The rest of the townsfolk returned to their own business, which mostly involved mourning their loved ones and silently cursing the trio for their "youthful arrogance".

'Child, arrogance.. no 3 kids can defeat it..' Sam thought, slowly turning mad as her blue glowy tattoos turned red. The princess stomped her fist to the counter very strongly and loudly. ''MAYBE I AM A KID, MAYBE I AM ARROGANT TO YOU BUT I AINT NO NORMAL HUMAN THAT CRIES ON MY STORY AND DOES NOTHING. YES I MAY DIE, AND? ATLEAST I DIDNT STAY ON MY BUTT, SITTING AND CRYING LIKE A LITTLE GIR-..'' She yelled, as Soul covered her mouth and sighed. ''Sorry.. she is.. umm.. kind of.. sensitive.. if i could say? Dont listen to her..'' The reaper said, facepalming. ''mmhmhmmm! Mhhmhmmhm!'' Sam tried to say, her mouth still covered. ''Sam.. really.. you have to think before acting and talking..'' Soul whispered, in her ear, letting her go.
Alkilai sighed in exasperation and put his hand to his face, shaking his head. "Just when I got everyone calmed down." He whispered to himself. He turned his attention to the bartender. "Think we can get three rooms for the night, if anything to keep this girl from starting a riot." He said. The bartender complied and handed him three keys, Alkilai took them and placed the appropriate amount of coins on the table "Thanks, we appreciate it. Come on you, let's go." He said to Sam, leading the Reaper and Twili up into the rooms. Once they reached the second floor Alkilai stopped and turned to face the still irritable princess and somewhat shaken Reaper.
"Look, I know you guys were just trying to help out, but it's best to keep a low profile with this sort of thing. We already know what we have to do, kill Ornialus in the ruins and collect the Triforce piece, we don't need to go reminding these people of the Hell they've been through, and we definitely don't need them to know the Hell that will come if we fail." He lectured.

Sam shrugged, rolling her eyes and enterring her room in silence. "There's only one thing: My body is unable to sleep in any condition. I guess i'll just lay there.. See ya." The reaper said, shrugging and walking into his room. Soul sat on his bed, sighing and taking out of his pocket a picture of his younger self and younger Sam. 'In What trouble Did we get into?..' He thought, smiling and chuckling, laying on the bed, picture in hand, trying to some how sleep.
Alkilai was silent from Sam's reaction, her annoyance was understandable, so he let the matter drop for now. He entered his own room and got settled in, thinking about the situation the town was in. Unlike Sam, he knew the real reason this town was so against the idea of challenging the Dragon; Ornialus was probably doing the same thing to this town that he did in the times of old, he was demanding sacrifices in exchange for the safety of the town. He knew a fresh burning building when he saw one and these buildings were torched at the very least three of four days ago, most likely he terrorized the townsfolk for an entire day and night and then made his offer, a daily sacrifice of a virgin girl or first born son in exchange for their "safety".
Certainly the townsfolk accepted the offer and have already offered a few sacrifices already, and after his rampage they didn't want to risk angering him and make those sacrifices all for naught. It was a... difficult situation, but it was one that could rectified, so long as he, Sam, and Soul succeeded in their mission. He undressed and laid in his bed, blowing out the candle before falling asleep.

Sam fell asleep, getting over the ''sorry'' thing. Soul, him, was un-able to sleep, as you already know. He just waited there, laying on the bed, looking at the roof and waiting hours and hours for his friends to wake up so they could finaly defeat that Plague Dragon, get the Triforce, fight any other thing and defeat Jigoku to bring back peace in the realms. 'I need to help.. if i dont.. my sibblings' work will be gone.. killing mortals is our.. no.. their job..' He thought, still looking at the roof and sighing.
The light of the rising sun peeked in through Alkilai's window, shining on his face and waking him up. He sat up in his bed and let out a tired yawn before sliding out of bed, getting dressed and packing his belongings. He entered the hallway, locking the door behind him, and walked over to Soul's room, knocking on the door.
"Hey Soul, let's get going, wake up Sam and meet me in the bar." He said to the certainly fully awake Reaper, he would wake the Twili up himself, but after seeing how she was in the mornings he figured someone with more... experience in the matter had better deal with it. He descended into the bar where the bartender was sitting at the counter sipping at a glass of gin.
"Well, if isn't the St. George wanna be." The man said sarcastically, but with less spite than expected.
"Good morning to you too." Alkilai replied as he leaned up against the wall, waiting for his comrades. There was a moment of silence, the bartender taking another swig of his beverage before speaking up.
"Hey uh... were you really serious last night, you know about... killing that thing." He asked apprehensively.
"...Yeah, we were." Alkilai answered plainly. "Though I admit, the Dragon isn't exactly our top priority, at least killing it isn't. It took something of great importance, and we REALLY need to get it back." He explained.
"Heh, heh, took some trinket of yours huh, must be pretty valuable for you to wrestle a Plague Dragon for it." the Bartender stated, too drunk to really delve to much into the matter.
"Trust me, you don't want to know what'll happen if we don't take it off its hands."
"Whatever it is, it can't be worse that... all of this." He insisted, finishing off the bottle. He then turned his full attention to the Nephilim, a depressed look on his face. "I fed my niece to that thing... it was the first offering. I lost me wife, my brother lost his little girl, and it's never going to end as long as that thing is within a hundred miles of this place. I know you have your own reasons for wanting to poke the bear, but please, if you can... drag that thing back to hell where it belongs." He pleaded, tears welling up in his eyes.
"...Count on it."
