"...Dang, you were right about her rage, she's tearing those things apart." Alkilai said, shocked and slightly impressed. Once she was halfway done, another batch appeared, some of which put their focus on Alkilai and Soul. "Well, so much for kicking back and watching the show." He stated before punching a Graveler with Holy Light.

Sam began to bark and growl like a dog, shaking her head and somehow traumatising the Graveler by her comportment. She then continued to punch him.

Alkilai punched a Graveler straight through the chest, killing it and thus finally finishing off the ambush. As the body dissipated, Alkilai felt a sudden surge of Demonic Power, coming straight for them. "Sam, get ready, here comes the big one!" He called to the girl as she massacred the last of the Gravelers. Not even a moment after the warning the whole room began to violently shake, the crystals on the walls flickering randomly. Suddenly, a large, purple crystal emerged from the ground, breaking apart to reveal that it was actually a 10 foot tall demon with crystalline armor, similar to the Gravelers. It get out a low growl before turning to the trio.

"Who dares interrupt my plundering?" The Demon replied menacingly.

"Mephiles, the Tempter," Alkilai said, apparently recognizing the Demon. "It's been a while since you've been topside hasn't it?"

"You... the Nephilim, Spawn of the Heavens, I was told you would come." Mephiles stated before turning to Sam and Soul. "And you have brought company, I must admit I am surprised to see you working with creatures so close to the Fringe." He observed.

Sam stood up, still raging. "SHUDDUP! I DONT CARE! COME FIGHT ME, SISSY!" She yelled, banging her fists in her chest and running towards the demon with rage.

"Sam wait...!" Alkilai called to her, but it was too late. Just before Sam could attack, a large crystal pillar appeared from the ground, hitting Sam and sending her flying back.

"Foolish Twili, you may have slain my minions with ease, but you will find that I am not so easily conquered." Mephiles said, the pillar disappearing back into the floor. "...You can feel it, can you not Nephilim? The Relic, it is here in this chamber, but try as I might it will not reveal itself to me." He informed, turning his focus back to Alkilai. "Perhaps, an offering of Angelic Blood will draw it out." The Demonic Power flowing from Mephiles spiked and his crystals glowed momentarily as he prepared for battle. Alkilai glared at the Demon and lowered into a fighting stance.

"Sam, you ok, can you still fight?"

"I CAN MORE THEN FIGHT!" She yelled, punching the floor as it created a black giant shadowy fist. Sam controlled it for it to go over the demon.

Mephiles crossed his crystalized arms, guarding against the Shadow Fist. The attack was powerful, but it could not overwhelm the Demon, his crystals glowing before he uncrossed his arms, dissipating the fist. However, the moment he did, Alkilai was already up against him, landing a Holy Light powered kick to his face, nearly making him lose his balance. When Alkilai landed, he unleashed an uppercut that sent Mephiles into the air, however he recovered quickly and once he landed on the ground he fired a barrage of crystals at them. Alkilai managed to block a few, four managed to get passed his defense, damaging him and allowing Mephiles to follow up with a a slash charged with Demonic Power, sending him crashing into the wall.

"You are weak mortals." He taunted.

"How about am immortal?" Soul asked, scythe ready to attack.

"Death has no hold over me, Reaper." Mephiles insisted, not at all fazed by Soul's threat. "A Demon's life is endless, so long as his body is intact."

"Then I guess we're just gonna have to tear you limb from limb, aren't we?" Alkilai replied, standing back up and lowering into a stance.

"Ha ha ha ha, you can try." As he said this, he charged his foot with Demonic Power and stomped on the ground, a multitude of pillars rising from the ground all aimed at the trio. Alkilai evaded the first one that came for him, but not even a moment after he regained his footing did another threaten to pop up underneath him, it was the same for the others as well.

Sam fell to the ground as well as did Soul. She punched the ground with her fist and she went in the spirit world. She then saw the demon's ''soul'' and approached it, starting to attack it in silence.

As soon as Sam's blade made contact with the Devil Shade it let out a pulse of energy that knocked Sam right out of the Spirit Realm. Once back in the Mortal Realm, Mephiles grabbed her by the throat, glaring angrily at her.

"You foolish Twili, do you have any idea who I am!" He barked at her, punching her across the room. "I am Mephiles, the Tempter, bargainer of mortal souls, the Spirit Realm is my domain!" His crystals all began to glow and Demonic Energy sparked from them, all collecting into a single ball that he then threw at Sam. Alkilai quickly stood in front of Sam, holding up his arms charged with Holy Light to guard against the attack. He struggled quite a bit with it, it nearly overpowered him but he managed to at least deflect it, the attack crashing into the wall,

"It was a nice try Sam, but this guy isn't your garden variety Demon, trying to attack him from the Spirit Realm is just gonna make him mad." Alkilai said.

'Make him mad.. i can use his force against himself..' She quickly thought, beginning to make annoying faces and sounds and to run around. ''Hey look! I am a demon! I throw diamonds at people and i rage! Blehblehblehbleh!'' She said, mocking him.

"You... you dare mock me Twili scum!" Mephiles raged, stomping on the ground again. This time, a whole row of pillars appeared all across the room, completely cutting the sides off from each other, not only that but the pillars than began moving towards them.

"Oh crap!" Alkilai cursed, he had a pretty good idea what Sam was trying to do, and while she and Soul could teleport out of harms way, he was a sitting duck, or at least he thought he was. Just then he got an idea and charged his Gauntlet with Holy Light, centering himself on one of the individual pillars. He punched it, breaking it in two; he then leaped up and kicked the pillar back over to the Demon. Mephiles just smirked, effortlessly shattering the pillar with his claw. He scoffed at the pathetic attempt at a counter attack, his entire focus directed at Alkilai... and not anywhere near Sam and Soul.

Sam teleported under the demon, trying to cut one of his legs with her machetes while Soul tried distracting him by making annoying stuff.

Mephiles growled in anger as he glared at the teasing Reaper. "Ingrate, you will pay for your mockery." He threatened, preparing to attack him. However, he was interrupted by Sam slashing at his leg, slicing off the crystal armor that covered it. "What the..." He looked down, finally taking notice of her. "You, begone Twili cur." He struck at her with his claw but they just barely missed. Alkilai took the opportunity to close the distance between them with a flying sidekick.

"Heh, I will not fall for the same trick twice Nephilim!" He declared, blocking the kick with his arm. Alkilai pushed off of the crystal clad arm, sending him higher into the air and once he refocused he launched his Gauntlet at the Demon's now exposed leg. He pulled him up to meet him in the air and landed a Holy Light frontal drop kick that sent him crashing into the wall and breaking the armor on his chest.

Sam then had an idea: Make a portal on the wall, another behind the demon, get thrown on the wall by the demon and use his force against himself.

The Twili jumped over him as he throwed Sam into the portal. ''Sam, no!'' Yelled Soul, not knowing her plan. Just then, she re-appeared in the demon's back, smashing his chest with the strenght of the portals.

"Ignorant Twili, have you learned nothing!" Mephiles barked as he grabbed Sam and threw her against the wall. However, just as she planned, she went in through a portal and came out of the wall directly behind him, striking at his back and breaking the last of the armor covering his torso, the force was even enough to knock him over, where Alkilai was waiting for him and hit him with an uppercut on now exposed chest. Without his armor the impact was devastating, Mephiles groveling on the ground before forcing himself to his feet.

"I... I will not be made a fool of by Mortal scum like you!" He cried in anger, summoning multiple crystal pillars that encircled him. They then began spinning rapidly before being pushed forward, circling the room in a spiral pattern. Alkilai stayed calm and quickly evaded the pillars at inhuman speeds, dashing up to Mephiles. The Demon slashed at him but Alkilai blocked it and thus they began furiously trading blows.

Soul attacked the demon with a scythe slash on the arm. Sam tried attacking his other arm. ''Face it, Demon! Even if mortals are stupid, they are still beating you!''

Mephiles blocked Sam's strike at his arm, but Soul's scythe was able to slash right through the crystals on his arm. He shot out a beam of Demonic Energy at the two otherworldly beings, forcing them back so he could focus on Alkilai, who was still coming at him. Without the crystals on his arm, the strikes were much easier to block and evade, eventually allowing Alkilai to make an opening and a combo, ending it with an uppercut that sent him into the air, only for him to pull him back down with his Grapple Gauntlet and land a spinning back kick, sending him crashing into the wall.

"Know your place!" Mephiles let out a roar and swept the room with his demon lasers, forcing Alkilai to leap up into the air to avoid them. Mephiles met him in the air and slashed at him, but Alkilai blocked the strike and followed up with a downward chop that broke the crystals on his second arm, leaving his right leg the last part of his body armored. Finally, he kicked him back to the ground towards his comrades.

Sam jumped over the demon, yelling in his face. ''YOU DONT INSULT TWILIS WITHOUT GETTING BUTT-KICKED!'' She then proceeded to stab his last armored leg with her machetes and to attack him, still yelling stuff at him. Soul tried helping by giving scythe hits on his other limbs.
