Alex grinned and shook his head. “No worries, Sparky. Our weapons are made to pass through mortals.” He explained as he pulled his pen from his pocket and clicked it, readying his bow. He then prayed hard, suiting up in his armor. As much as he hated to, John followed by grabbing his pipes from his jeans and removing his human disguise so he could move better. He then played a few notes and a large club sprouted from the ground. He twisted his goatee and armed himself. “Let’s d-do this!” he stuttered. Alex gave the frightened satyr a fist pound before plunging into the maze, the others at his heels. They came to the first turn and John played a song that revealed the right path. This continued until they reached the center, feet away from the snorting monster. Alex gave the group a look that clearly warned them to be careful. The group eased toward the beast and where a mere 10 feet away when, unable to contain his fear, John let out a loud "Bla-ha-ha!" The minotaur turned and charged with a mighty roar. Alex shot two blasts of light from his hands directly into the creature's face, giving them time to hide and regroup.

"Nice going, goatboy!" Willow yelled as she summoned her sword and her fathers helm of shadows, putting it on , turning invisible before all eyes. She pushed Sam towards another opening. "Go, I'll be right behind you!" Her voice ordered as two skeletons appeared in front of the monster, distracting it by slashing at it with spears.

''Like, what?'' Samus asked, being pushed into the fight. She sighed and summoned her sword and shield. ''Moo-moo killing time!'' The young girl yelled, a cruel smirk on her face. She ran right into the beast, trying to push it down. ''Like, i-.. am.. trying.. to distract it!'' Samus said, under her breathe, obviously not strong enough to push it down.

Seeing Sam was in trouble, John played a short song on his pipes. Seconds later, a thick patch of vines burst from the ground and wrapped around the monster's ankles and wrists, pulling it into a hunched position. Knowing what John had planned, Alex shot the strongest beam of light he could gather into the creature's chest, singeing its hair and skin. The beast gave an earth shattering roar and doubled over even more in agony. "Will, try to get on its back! Sparky, you cover her. If he breaks free, zap him!" Alex shouted over the creature's roars. As back up, Alex had an especially strong arrow knocked and ready to fire.

Will leaped into the air and sinker her sword into the middle of its back but narrowing missing its heart. She grounded, the beast trying to shake her off, sending her helm flying away but she held onto its fur and her sword, twisting it to make it roar in pain.

Samus summoned her sword and handed it to Willow, still trying to push the beast. ''Second stabby, Will!'' The young girl yelled, her face almost completly red because she was pushing her strenght limits.

Suddenly, the minotaur broke free and threw Will from its back with another roar. It then reached down and swatted at Sam as she tried to push it back, sending her skidding across the ground. Despite his growing panic, John made a bold move and chuckled his cudgel at its head. The wood landed with a light 'thud' but it had gotten the beast's attention. "Grrrah!" it bellowed as it turned toward the satyr and prepared to charge. Knowing time was short, Alex took aim. "Hey meat head, suck on this!" he yelled as he fired a glowing arrow at the creature's head. The arrow found its mark, landing directly in the minotaur's eye. The bull man moaned and fell to its knees with a mighty crash, thrashing wildly as it tried to attack anything it could grab. John played the same quick tune he had earlier and the beast was bound once again by thick roots and vines. John let out a long bleat that sounded strangely like a battle cry. Nearby, Alex helped the girls to their feet and readied another arrow as a precaution. "Like ok, Sparky here's the plan. You give him a zap to finish this and we'll have your back." he instructed.

When Willow was thrown off, she grunted when she hit the ground. "Son of a-!" She shot up and saw her sword still in the minotaurs back. She ran up to Sam when she was knocked back and helped her up, glaring at the monster. "Let's finished this. The annoying thing has my sword!" She growled as she clenched her fist, and gritted her teeth, looking frightening.

Samus fastly stood up, closing her eyes for a second and making her sword and shield disapear. This time, instead of her sword, she summoned a lightning bolt. The young girl waited for the beast to look at her and smirked. She threw the lightning bolt at the Minotaur with a scream. ''YOU DON'T MESS WITH DEMI-GODS!'' Samus screamed, angrily.

The Minotaur was still thrashing against its bonds and groaning over its injury when the bolt made its impact. The attack landed with a sound like crashing thunder, hitting the Beast directly in the chest. Normally, a monster would have faded, exploded into a yellow dust. However the Minotaur just fell to the ground with an earth shaking thud. "Wicked! " Alex yelled as he pumped his fist in the air. John bleated with happiness and relief as he did a satyr victory dance. After their celebration Alex turned to his friends looking slightly more serious. "Ok dudes, now we gotta send proof that we got this thing." he said before walking over to the monster's fallen corpse. He grabbed one of its sharp horns and braced his foot on its back before pulling backwards on the horn with all his strength. Minutes later there was a sickening snap and Alex held a jagged piece of bone about the size of a large knife that ended in a sharp point. With their prize in hand, the group got into Alex's car and headed away from the maze. "Ok dude's, let's head to the closest OPS drop so we can get rid of this thing. " John said as he looked at the horn with disgust and slight relief of the fact it was the bull's horn instead of one of his own.

Will sighed in relief, walking to it and pulls out her sword before turning away to pick up her fathers helm. "That was exciting. Not exactly easy, but it was fun." She said as she followed them and placed her sword away. "I'm sure Hermes would take this off our hands, let's find a mail box or something." She smirked, picking up a few apples from a fruit stand before getting in the car.

Samus sighed, almost falling asleep while standing. The young girl followed, still silentious. 'I'm exauhsted..' She thought, eyes semi-closed. ''I think i'm going to fall aslee-..'' Samus tried to say, before falling asleep on her seat in the car.

Alex chuckled and shot his sleeping friend a smile. She'd fought one hell of a fight against that thing. When Willow and John suggested getting rid of the horn, he nodded. "Sounds awesome to me. I think I saw an OPS store not far from here." he said as he started the car. As they drove, John sat beside his friend, the broken horn reluctantly in his lap. "Like, where to next Will?" the satyr asked wearily. After a few miles of driving, the car stopped in front of what looked like an UPS store except it read OPS. John jumped from the car, Alex at his heels. Once inside, the duo grabbed a box from the counter and placed the horn and the two golden drachma's needed for postage inside. Alex filled out the packing slip with the New York address of Olympus and the box rose into the air and disappeared with a pop. The two came back to the car and waited for Willow to tell them their next destination.

Willow smiled at Sam before taking the map again, opening it quietly. "Let me see... Phoenix, Arizona. And from what I can guess, a few snakes are slithering around the letters." She said as she placed a hand under her chin, humming as she thought to herself. "I see... We are going into the lair of the infamous Gorgon, Medusa. This might be easy in two ways. I use my father's helm, and repeat what Perseus did or we could just play marco polo."

Samus suddenly woke up. ''M-M-Medusa?.. S-S-S-snakes?'' She asked, anxiously, her phobia of snakes showing up, another time in her life.. The word snake. She hated it. Snakes themselves, she hated them. Just.. lizards in particular.. Each time she saw a lizard, Samus would be screaming around, running for her life and.. almost.. crying.. That was how much she hated and feared snakes. ''S-s-snakes are b-b-b-b-bad!'' The young girl said, shivering just of the thought of the snake-headed monster.

When he found out who they were about to face next, John was just as frightened as Sam. He gave a startled "Bla-ha-ha!" and started to shake in his seat. Beside him, Alex put a hand on his shoulder and shot Sam a grin in the rearview mirror. "Relax dudes, we've got this. We'll just take her head off like Perseus did." he said encouragingly. John just shook his head and bleated more, his eyes now goat-like. "D-dude, she's bad news. Where do you think all those satyr statues in peoples gardens come from?" he asked in a panic. Alex just squeezed his friend's shoulder and handed him an empty diet coke can before turning his attention to Sam. "Look Sparky, just use the shield and you're good." he said as they sped down the road.

Will chuckled, turning her eyes to the window. "Yes, but she might have a few tricks up her sleeve. From what I hear, she is very persuasive and charming." She was silent for a few moments before smirking. "So, who's dad 'hooked up' with her?"

''C-c-charming?.. Snakes are NOT charming.. i swear.. if i my dad 'hooked up' with her.. i think i may fall into very deep lonelyness and depression.'' Samus said, shaking and rubbing her face anxiously. Yes, rubbing her face. Also she slapped herself a couple times, trying to not focus on snakes. ''Well, you lost a fighter for that monster, i'm not even going in that garden where she is.''

The more upset Sam got, the more thunder and lightning began to roll across the now clouded sky. Alex looked into the mirror and shook his head, unable to keep a grin from his face. He could tell she wasn’t someone to piss off. “Look Sparky, eveything’s cool. As far as I know old thunderbolt hasn’t even met Meduesa, she was Poseidon’s girl back in the day.” He said as the group tried to calm her. Beside Alex, John looked like he was about to cry. “L-look Sammy, as long as you have that shield, that old bag of scales won’t touch you. S-she’ll just focus on us.” He offered with a deep gulp. Alex sighed and handed John another can. “Dudes, everybody just cool it!” he said with a touch of anger. “We can do this. We’re gonna get in there and show that old snake skin how demigods serve up some whoop-ass!” he cheered, throwing his hand against the steering wheel to make his point. Because of Alex’s self-imposed 170MPH speed limit, the group crossed the Arizona state line in no time at all. “Aright Will, where is she?” Alex asked as they made their way down the road.

Willow coughed, covering a laugh before looking out the window. "In the middle of nowhere. She owns a gardening store. Just keep driving until we are in the middle of nowhere and if you see a shop with a sign written in Greek, we are there!"
