Alex smiled and shrugged as the car flew across the sky. "Well Sparky, at this speed we'll be there in a couple hours." he said with a glance at the backseat in the rearview. "I could have us there in like 45 minutes, but I don't want Will blowing chunks on my seats." he said calmly, noticing how green Willow looked. John just sat watching the sky, his thoughts excited by the all you can eat poutine. "Hey Sammy, do they have different types of poutine, like flavours?" he asked with a happy grin.
"What's a poutine?" Will asked quietly, looking towards them. She tried to smile, kicking Alex's seat. "And be quiet and watch the roa-sky. If we hit a plane, I'll punch you before we hit the ground!" She chuckled, putting her arms behind her head.
"Of course, John! And there's Poutine in alot of restaurants!" She answered, smiling at the thought of Poutine. "Poutine is the delicious combination of cheese, fries and brown sauce." Samus answered to Willow. "It's probably the best thing you can eat in your life. Saddly, it's fast food." The young girl added, still smiling and looking out the window.
Alex laughed and grinned, swerving a little to tease Will. "Oops." he said sarcastically. He then turned to John and shook his head. "Dude, do you ever think of anything besides food?" he asked with a chuckle. Alex then shot Sam a curious glance. "Well Sparky, I guess I've gotta try this poutine stuff. Better be worth it or you're paying for the grub." he joked with a wink. A few hours later, Alex and his friends touched down in a dense forest in Toronto. It was so cold that steam rolled off the car's flaming wheels in huge thick clouds. Alex turned to Sam and grinned. "Well Sparky, welcome to Canada." He said happily. "Food. Food. Foood!" John bleated.
"Gosh, I'm ready for food..." Willow stood from the car and stretched, moaning as her joints popped. "Why couldn't you be Poseidons son? I don't mind the sea... Anyway, let's hurry before we run into any interferences..."
"Home, sweet, home!" Samus yelled, her voice echoing into the forest. "Ahem. Sorry." The young girl said, sighing and finally calming down. "I suggest we go see the 'suprise guest' before we fight that lion." She offered, still not revealing who the 'suprise guest' was. She wanted to keep the suprise.
John got out of the car and kicked off his fake feet with a groan. "Ahhh, that's better!" he sighed as he flexed his hooves against the cold forest floor. Alex got out of the car after him, stretching from the wait, thick clouds of steam rolling from him as his constantly warm body met the air. John trotted around happily before turning to Sam with a wide grin. "Like, this is awesome, so natural!" he said with a contented sigh. After he finished marveling, he replaced his fake feet and turned to his friends. "So like where is this surprise guest?" the satyr asked as his stomach grumbled loudly. He REALLY hoped this mystery guest had some food.
Will rolled her eyes before kicking a stone. "Yes, who is this person, Sparky?" She asked, putting her hands in her pockets. "We got to go hunting soon."
Samus smirked to herself, kind of like an evil smirk, but without the evil part. ''That's a suprise. Althought, the special person lives exactly 1227 meters away from here, going north.'' The young girl said, getting out of her pocket her golden pocketwatch and starring at it while talking. ''It should take about 26 minutes and 24 seconds to go there.'' She added, closing the pocketwatch and putting it back in her pockets. ''Don't worry, she's nice and is a good cook! I swear on my honor, it wont take very long.'' Sam said, still smirking.
As soon as John heard the mystery person they were going to visit was a good cook, he shot back into the passenger seat and strapped in. "ALL ABOARD THE FOOD TRAAAAIIIN!!!" He bleated excitedly. Alex just chuckled and got back into the car. "Come on, dudes. Sparky said it'll take about 26 minutes, but I'm getting us there in 16 so goat dude here doesn't eat my seats." He said with a laugh and his usual bright white grin. Once everyone was seated and Alex prepared to take off, John turned his attention to Sam. "So Sammy, will this guest of yours mind that I'm a vegetarian?" he asked curiously, the thought of food keeping a constant grin on his face. Soon enough, the cars tires began to smoke as it tore down the road.
Willow groaned as she went back into the car. "I can't believe I'm saying this, but I miss walking..." She looked out the window, watching the trees move. "So who is this she? A friend? A grandmother?"
''I'm sure my mom-.. the suprise guest wont mind that you're a vegetarian, John.'' The young girl answered, smiling and taking place in the car. ''Told you earlier, it's a surprise! Althought, it's neither a friend, neither my grandmother.. it's someone that i know for 12 years, tho.'' Samus replied, still glarring by the window of the car. She was so happy at the idea to see the 'suprise guest' back.
Alex shot Sam a wide grin in the rear view mirror. "Sparky, are we gonna go see your mom?" Alex asked as he drove. Beside him, John had an equally wide grin. "Duuude, it'd be awesome to see the woman that was cool enough to make the king of the gods turn his head." he bleated excitedly. Soon enough, the group had traveled the 1227 meters and came to a stop a a small house surrounded by trees. "Like, is this it Sparky?" Alex asked as he turned off the car's roaring engine.
Willow's smile fell slightly, feeling envious. She alwayed wanted a mother. Hers died when she was very little, and always wished to go to Underworld so she could meet her, and perhaps persuade her father to allow her to spend some time with her. But Willow quickly hid her emotions and nodded at Sam. "She must be just like you! Maybe you look like her, too."
Samus' proud smile turned back into a neutral face. ''I ruined the surpise..'' She muttered to herself, looking at the ground in shame. ''I really am bad for suprises..'' She added, looking back up. Her smile quickly came back. ''Well... uh.. yeah.. kind of like me.. in waaaaay more caring... and nice.. and better at cooking food... and alot more pacific... Yep.. And she doesnt have different colored eyes like me, i'm just a weirdo.'' The young girl answered, hoping out of the car and running to the door of the house. She knocked and heard footsteps behind the door with a small yell: ''I'm coming, i'm coming.'' The door opened and Julia's eyes widened. ''Samus!?''
Alex smiled as he saw Sam reunite with her mother. It had been over two years since he'd last seen his. Once his memory ended, he stepped out of the car and motioned for John and Will to follow. "Hi, Ms. Grace. We're friends of Spark-I mean Sam's. It's nice to meet you." He said with his bright smile. Beside him, John stiffened and started to sniff the air. "I...smell....FOOOOD!" He bleated, his stomach growling loudly in recognition of the familiar smell. "Dude's always hungry." Alex said with a laugh as he shook his head, though he was getting hungry himself.
Willow rolled her eyes, nudging both of them before stepping forward. "Nice to make your acquaintance. I'm, sort of, Sam's cousin. Willow Cain." She forced herself to smile friendly, holding a hand out to shake.
Julia smiled at the view of Sam's friends. ''Welcome, it is nice to see you all here.'' She said, calmly as she looked at John, Alex and Willow. When Willow spoke, the woman had a quite suprised look on her face. ''Oh, is that so? Hades or Poseidon?'' She asked Samus, raising an eyebrow. ''Hades.'' Her daughter simply answered. Sam's mother simply smiled and nodded, turning her head back to them. ''Great to meet you all. Please come in, i was cooking chocolate chip cookies.'' She said as she shook Will's hand and letted passage for them to enter. ''Yay! Chocolate chip cookies!'' The young girl said, kind of in victory. ''We dont have alot of time thought, we have to fight the Nemean Lion...''
Alex grinned at the woman and held up a shaka as he passed her and entered the house. Next to him, John's eyes widened and he practically started to drool. "COOOOOKIES!!!" the satyr bleated happily. Alex chuckled at his friends reaction then turned to Sam's mother with a grin as he held out his hand. "Hey there, I'm Alex, son of Apollo. That bottomless pit of a goat over there is John Greenwood the satyr." he chuckled as he took a seat next to his best friend. "You're drooling dude!" he told his friend with a laugh as he nudged him jokingly.
Willow smirked and rolled her eyes again following behind them. "It's only cookies, guys. No need to go hysterical over them." She looked around the house, humming to herself. "So... How did you meet the boss of our parents, huh? I have to say, it isn't hard to charm him, but I'm surprised Hera hasn't messed with you. She is a very jealous woman."
