Hi, sorry if I'm putting this in the wrong place (first time posting in a forum on here other than looking for RP), but I'd like some help making a character. All I know is I want a fox inspired human character that can fight but don't know what to do! ; A ; Can someone help a bit?

Well, I tend to always work on the characters' appearance first. If he is, as you say, foxish then perhaps go for someone with dark eyes, and sharp, angular features with reddish/orange hair?

I usually find an image first that catches my imagination then go from there. I don't write long, elaborate back stories for most of my characters, I like to leave them flexible to fit other peoples RP's/worlds. I'll come up with some basic personality traits but that's about it, I play them as they 'feel' off the assembly line. I don't know what your specific style is but I'd avoid bogging yourself down to anything too set in stone. The basic idea of an anthro character who knows how to fight is fine; why does he fight? Why did he have to learn to? Is there anyone he wouldn't fight? Does he feel it's his responsibility to protect those weaker than him or does he use his strength to his own benefit? Just come up with a few sentences to summarize his concept and develop him from there.

I have a Fox (Kitsune) named Aya who was pretty fun to make. I made her as a sibling for another Player's character but she's mostly my own creation. I researched Kitsune in Japanese legend and used that as my base. That helped me figure out her supernatural abilities and weaknesses. I also researched real life Foxes. Looked at what they liked to eat, what makes them sick. That kind of stuff. Once you figure out what they like and don't like, you can start building a personality. Then everything kind of flows from there.
