She looked at him, studying him closely. "I'm Raine. Raine Asawa." She said in a soft tone. Her voice was quite pretty when she wasn't spitting out profanity. Her big blue eyes searched his face as she tried to unravel him like a puzzle
She would find that extremely difficult, as he was a puzzle that was not meant to be undone. He held her eye contact for a long moment, but broke it off to look out the window. The day was getting on and the evening was closing in.
"I'm curious. Why are you still here?" She laid down on the bed, looking at him. She rested her hand on her tummy watching him. She would pick at her nails as if they were covered in blood as she waited for a response.
"Why not? You're feeding me and giving me drink. I'm here on your expense." And because she was just way to much fun to annoy. His mere presence seemed to be infuriating her and as long as she wasn't whining or crying out, he could tolerate her mouth. "The longer I stay, the more free things I will acquire, or so it seems."
She rose a brow at him and then shook her head. "As I thought. I'm too easy to use." She folded her arms and sighed softly. She then opened her eyes, grabbing the bottle of whiskey and poured herself another shot. She took the shot and hiccuped. Her long black hair fell into her face and she gave a short chuckle. Her fiery eyes then moved to him. "You're not bad lookin' ya know." She smirked a bit darkly and then laughed softly. Her laugh was sweet but she certainly was not.
He merely looked at her from beneath his lashes when she paid him the compliment. He was not one to be swayed easily with words, and he was not impressed with her compliment. However, he did like to play games, so he offered her a twisted smile.
"You don't say?"
"You don't say?"
'Well. I've had better. Much better, but I can at least look at you." She smirked, looking at him. She finished off her whiskey and laid there, hiccuping once more. Her eyes wandered the room but ended up back on her hands. She started picking at them nervously. She looked over at him once more, studying his face.
"Yes, it is true that you do have eyes and you can in fact look at me." He smiled widely and in-genuinely. He took the bottle and began to drink straight from it. The alcohol had little effect on him just now. It took a lot more to really knock the Ranger out of his boots.
"Hey." She looked at him with flushed cheeks, the booze was starting to settle finally for her to get a small buzz. "What if.. I pay you to be my escort, hm?" She folded her arms looking at him. "I got a whole dammed army after me so I could use some help. I'll pay you good." She said, looking him up and down. "Until I get to another continent, that is. Then I would be done with you."
Dadj considered this proposal as he finished off the bottle. It was enough alcohol to add a hint of red to his cheeks. "Body guard, eh?" It would not be the first time he'd agreed to that sort of job and undoubtedly it would not be his last. Courier work and transporting dangerous goods got boring after a while.
"Alright."
"Alright."
She looked at him. "I will pay you 25 gold a week." She slipped down into the bed. "It gets really annoying, fighting groups of men off by myself. Tiring as well." She yawned and looked at him "So I hope you can fight. I'm sure you can.." She ruffled up her own hair and then looked at her nails. Her attitude had seemed to die down so she wasn't so crabby. She had such a bad day.
His lifted a brow at the statement about fighting. She just had no idea who she was dealing with, did she? A grin spread across his face and he got to his feet. The bottle empty and the food gone, he placed himself in the corner of the room and sat on the floor. She seemed about to take a nap or otherwise rest, so he may as well do the same. The book laid across his lap and he leaned into the wall, wondering what he might have just gotten himself into.
She had closed her eyes and remained silent the rest of the night. Whether or not she was actually asleep was unknown. She would however, rise at dawn. She stood up slowly, her ankle screaming in pain, but there was not time for that. She limped over to her bag, brushing her hair quickly and then looked at Dadj. "Yo. wake up." She stated loudly. "If you're going to be my body guard we need to leave now." She then put her brush away and got her boots on and grabbed her bag. She yawned a bit, looking tired but she shook it off. She would wait for him by the door, her arms folded.
She would find herself not waiting long; Dadj had "slept" in his clothing, boots and all. He merely got to his feet and stretched luxuriously before donning his pack and cracking his neck.
Once he was ready, he stole to the bathroom to splash water on his face and relieve himself. Emerging from the door, he stood beside her.
"Ready."

She looked at him and nodded. She made her way out of the room, limping down the stairs slowly. "Son of a bitch!" She growled in pain once she made it to the bottom and hopped her way out of the inn. It was raining, of course it was raining. She thought to herself in an annoyed tone. She looked at him and then crawled ontop of her horse. She pulled out a cloak, draping it over herself to protect her from the rain. She smirked a bit at Dadj. "Hope you don't mind getting a little wet, Mr. Dadj." She grinned a bit deviously. "We will head east, then once we make it to to the mountains we will head north, into them. After that, depending how long it takes I will evaluate which paths we should take next until I can get to another country."
"Whatever you say." He did not bother with getting his clock all wet and left it rolled in one of his packs. Boudewijn snorted when he saw the Ranger and paced to greet him. Dadj pulled himself up onto the saddle and reigned his horse over to the black one.
