Diego raises an eyebrow, whilst in a state of deep thought. After a few seconds, he comes up with what he wants to say. "Well, sorry Coco. But I'm afraid there's no way around this. I can't think of any other way for us to come out of this alive without harming the horses." Diego concludes. He hates to say it, but that's the truth.
Rococo looked really disappointed and then turned her attention to Alex. "Dead? As in killed?"
" nah the fat bastard had a heart attack " he says while opening a bottle of whine " died in his sleep"
Diego sighs, looks like they're gonna have to rely on mercenaries now. "Alright Alex, you go and find the nearest mercenary company with heavy cavalry. That'll be helpful thanks." Diego commands him.
Rococo sighed to herself and went to the bar to order something to eat.
Diego follows her and sits next to her, in order to discuss more about their tactics.
She ordered something, her stomach started growling. "Sorry, I'm not much use when it comes to tactics as I thought... I just have a soft spot for animals, you know?"
Diego nods in agreement. "I know what you mean. Honestly I don't share that sort of soft spot, but I can understand why you wouldn't want animals to be hurt." He grabs her hand. "Trust me, I'll make sure they won't feel a thing." Diego promises her.
Rococo looked at there hands. "That still does not make me feel much better, but I thank you." She gripped it lightly, thankful that he shared her sentiments.
Diego shook his head for a second then looked at their hands. He immediately lets go. "Oh, uh, um, what were we talking about before?" Diego asks nervously.
"I think you were gonna go over even more tactics, and battle strategies..." She got her plate of food and began to eat. "But to be honest, would it not be best to just go over it with your own men? I'm no expert, and once you have the strategy decided on you can brief me and the other two before the fighting starts."
"Right! Tactics! Anyway, I've already gone through it with my men, and don't worry, they're for the most part veteran fighters, particularly the Swiss. And since you're the only one remaining willing to listen to me, I'd say it's best I start with you." Diego says, almost as if he snapped out of some kind of trance.
"I would say you already started with me, but if you have more to say I am all ears." She would listen as she ate her meal.
"Okay, so, as soon as the cavalry are disposed of, they'll probably try and use archers to break the pike's formation. So that is when my spearman come in and form a shield wall to block the incoming rain of arrows. Eventually, they'll get sick of the arrows doing little, and send in their infantry. That's when the pikes will form their formation again. Now with the infantry in close proximity, the musketeers will open fire. I doubt their armour would be able to stop musket balls so they'll fall down easily. There's also the fact that the archers won't fire on their own soldiers so they're bound to refrain from firing." Diego explains further.
"And what about taking out the enemy general? As long as I have a clear shot, I should be able to snipe him easily. Even if he wear's armor, electricity does even more damage if he is wearing it."
"The enemy general will be surrounded by a horde of his minions, and since Samus and the assassins are going to throw those pots into the back of the army, they'll have no choice but to panic. That's when morale will deplete, and they'll start running for the hills. The enemy general will probably route with his troops, giving you the opportunity to stick him with your arrow." Diego says.
"A sound battle plan if I ever heard one." She finished up her meal and sipped down some water. "Now that meal hit the spot. Were you not hungry? Or have you already eaten."
"I already had some food back on my ship, I'll be fine. Besides, I don't want a stitch or anything during the battle." Diego says. He is slightly worried that something on the lines of a 'stitch' could hinder their performance in battle, that's why he ate early.
"A stitch?" She was unfamiliar with the term or expression he used. "But that's good, I don't wanna stick around here much longer." Rococo stood up and started to head out of the tavern.
" aww ain't it cute ye two be smooching and holding each other" Alex says as he walks by their table on his way out " I hope ye remember us on ye honeymoon "
