So, out of every single place on this earth, it had suddenly popped up on my phone that there was a UFO siting on my street. My neighbours are freaking out. I didn't see crap. Uh.. Yeah.

Yeah... that's kind of horrifying O-o

One person said it was hovering right over the street, but I'm really cynical.. I think I would've seen it then again I was watching Whiplash. I really don't know, my neighbours are kind of out of it.

Edit: Lmbo!! You know what sucks? I live right next door to a cornfield and the only thing that's separating us is a thin line of forestry.

UFOs can be anything, including natural phenomena (ever heard of lightning balls?), people on drugs, pranksters and animals. It's not a unanimous term for an extraterrestrial sighting or invasion, just literally something that people who witnessed it can't explain. And people can be surprisingly short-sighted they get startled. The chances that alien beings have the technology to travel so far through space to the point where we, having charted stars and planets so far away we couldn't get there alive even if we traveled by the speed of light, did not notice their presence is very slim. Furthermore it is illogical for them to 'haunt' us like this if they are indeed so far advanced that they can get around so many problems related to visiting far-away worlds. It's a waste of resources, and since supposedly alien UFOs have been sighted for decades, one wonders where they hide the mothership that they've been chilling out in for decades assuming our planet is an unfit habitat for them to survive in. Or, you know, where they're hiding if they got a base on earth, etcetera.

So, uh... I know this might be a bit of a buzzkill, but I don't like seeing people frightened so I hope logical explanations will be reason enough to calm you down?

Adding to what Sanne said, what UFO stands for is Unknown Flying Object. So it doesn't necessarily mean a flying saucer if that is what you were thinking.
