Hey guys! I'm wondering if anyone knows of any sites/software/whatever that can help me with map-making for my original fantasy world. I'm not really an artist, so drawing it myself has so far been...less than ideal haha. I'm hoping for something free, but if you know of something great that costs a little bit let me know, please!

Campaign Cartographer 3. It's around $50 so you may want to google cheaper alternatives.

http://donjon.bin.sh/fantasy/world/ - Makes a pretty awesome map based on some specifications you set. One of the best free ones I've found so far. Be aware that their server gets busy a lot, so if you follow their instructions and leave the window open for a while if that happens, the page will eventually refresh and show you a map.

I have made some amaaaazing maps using this and photoshop. Even just adding a texture over it and downloading a DnD-esque font to label stuff with makes it look FANTASTIC 8) I rate it like 1 million out of 10, it's so great ;u;.

I got this a few weeks ago. I don't spend much on these kind of things and I was upset to find how glitchy it was and unfriendly it is to newbies. I really wish I could work it, but it may be a lost cause for me.

I'd personally reccomend photoshop, and you can get a free trial for it. I usually get a parchment style map look when I do it, it's my favorite look
