~ Flashback ~
"Fifteen coins! That's outrageous! Just for that small thing! Oh, please! That should not be so expensive!"
"S-Sorry, ma'am. That's just the way--"
"Do not 'sorry, ma'am" me! Half the people in this bloody village can't even afford that! No wonder you have no one--"
"Ma'am, you are going to have to come with me." A young man said in shiny armor as he gripped onto the young flustered blondes elbow. The woman was staring at the old man behind the counter with large, angry blue eyes as her gaze kept falling over to a small, silver knife that was sitting on the counter. That knife was fifteen coins. Fifteen coins too much. The female elf only had nine coins in her pocket. Coins that she had earned from hunting and bringing her game in and selling it each day for about three coins each. Coins that she had earned just to buy the stupid knife. That's all she wanted and the damned man wouldn't accept six coins short of its price.
The woman had been arguing with the man for just a little over a half an hour now. The line had increased and slowly decreased from the lack of patience from some customers. Some were still there, either for the entertainment the elf was bringing them or that they just wanted to buy what they came for and leave. The blonde wouldn't stop putting up a fight though, for she wanted her knife.
"Sir, I am terribly sorry for the misunderstanding. Will you not take nine coins for the knife?" The guard asked the older man, still having a firm grip on girls elbow... just in case she were to get violent, as she did look like she had the urge for scratching this mans face up written all over her own face. The guard towered over her in height and doubled her own weight in muscle, and she and the man both knew if she were to get violent he would easily be able to pull her back without even trying. The woman stared at the older man in question, almost daring him with her eyes to say he will give the knife to her.
"I am afraid not. My wife and I have decided on fifteen coins for the--"
"Fifteen coins, my ass!" The blonde yelled at him. A mother in line covered her younger sons ears to block out the curses the blonde was now screaming loud enough for everyone to stop and turn around. The guard then began to drag her away as she continued screaming and yelling things. She tried to fight him off, but her attempts failed as he continued to drag her away and apologize over and over for her behavior to everyone.
"What are you thinking, Lhaindes!?" The guard whispered to the woman, Lhaindes, as he kept his grip on her and got far away enough for no one to hear except for the woman herself. The two did, in fact, know each other. One of Queen Violets guards and Queen Violets spy. They knew each other very well, and he especially knew of her stubborn personality and ways.
"Minding my own business, you idiot! Now let go of me!" Lhaindes said as she kept on squirming and trying to get out of his firm grip. He kept his hand on her though, not allowing her to get away. Lhaindes then turned her head around and opened her mouth, showing her white teeth and trying to bite his arm in order for her to get free.
"You cannot bite through armor, you dumb girl." The man sighed as he continued to watch her struggle to bite him. Lhaindes stopped and glared up at him, closing her mouth. "Shut up, Adan! I can bite your nose off!" She said as she reached up on her tippy-toes and tried to bite his nose. The guard, Adan, could only chuckle at her efforts and let go of her arm. Lhaindes snapped her arm back at her side, finally released.
"We need to be quiet or else the people here will suspect something of us."
"I need to be quiet!? What about you--"
"Shut up! You are the one that had to get all up in my business!
"Well, you were creating a scene!"
"You were creating one dragging me away like that, dumbass."
They both paused and fell silent, now realizing that they were acting like a couple of children in the middle of the marketplace. They both turned their heads around to see if anyone was listening or looking. They both sighed in relief. Everyone was continuing on walking around and no one even paid attention to them. Actually, all the villagers preferred not to get near a guard, finding them quite frightening.
"I need to go. Hopefully we didn't make a scene standing right here ourselves. I do not have any new information regarding Lady Rosa and her plans." Lhaindes said quietly to Adan. She was in fact, telling the truth. Nothing new had happened that she knows of that she needs to report back to Queen Violet. She looked up at Adan with a blank expression while rubbing her arm. He nodded, telling her that he understood. She then turned around on her heel, beginning to walk away and get on with her day. Adan watched her walk off, his arms at his sides.
"Oh!" Lhaindes exclaimed as she turned around on her heel again to face Adan, who was now a few feet away from her. "And I will get that knife." She said with determination in her voice as she pointed at Adan with her index finger and had a slight smirk on her face. Adan only chuckled again at her stubborn ways and shook his head, watching her walk off again.
~ End of Flashback ~
The next morning, Lhaindes walked again through the busy crowds of the marketplace, her blonde hair tucked into the hood of her black cloak and the leaves of her skirts slightly moving along with the gentle wind of the early morning. She was carrying three large birds that she had hunted down and killed even earlier this morning, just to sell them and get a few extra coins. She hid her face behind her hood as she walked around, not wanting to get burned from the warm morning sun.
She headed over to the small market where she could sell her game for coins. There was no line-up, seeing as most of the people were still in sleep at their homes. The crunches from under her boats were quiet as she stepped onto some sort of sandy gravel as she walked up to the man behind the desk at the market.
"Guess what I got, Chad! Three big old birds for ya'!" She said, excitement in her voice as she laid out her game on the table. She smiled as he examined the birds, looking at the clean shots she had made with her arrow right through each of the birds chests.
"Well I must say, Miss Arcamenel, I am impressed! It's more then you have ever brought in before!" The man said as he reached down and grabbed the coins he owed the elf. Lhaindes smiled happily and nodded, impressed in herself as well. It had taken herself twice as longer though to get the three birds, but it was sure worth it.
"That will be seven coins for you--"
"Seven coins! My heavens! Thank you so much!" Lhaindes exclaimed as she took the gold coins out of the mans calloused hands and began to run over to... you guessed it... the weapon market she had been at yesterday.
"I will see you around!" She waved back at the man as she headed over to the other market. The man smiled and waved back and returned to his business and Lhaindes returned to hers.
Lhaindes ran up to the weapon market, putting down her hood and waiting for the man in front of her to be finished buying his own weapon before she could buy hers. Once the man in line in front of her left, she headed up and smirked at the same man she had been arguing with yesterday. The man rolled his eyes, preparing himself for another show as Lhaindes reached in her pocket to gather up all the coins she had.
Once she had all the coins in her hand, she laid them down on the table... all sixteen coins that she had. More then enough to buy that special knife that she had bee eyeing for over a week now. "Keep the change." She said as she didn't even wait for the man to reply and grabbed the knife on the table. It shimmered in the sunlight, and looked extra shiny and sharp now that Lhaindes could actually pick it up and look at it.
She smiled as she walked away from the market, now admiring the new weapon that she had bought. Sure, it wasn't much, but Lhaindes always had a thing for knives. She twirled it around between in fingers as she wondered where everyone else might have gone...

(OOC: Forgive me if Zero doesn't fit in. I can modify him if needed also forgive me if i get the setting slightly wrong.)
Lhaindes did not have too wait long to figure out where the general population had gone. A dark shadow had fallen over the village only for a fleeting second. Covering the marketplace in a sudden darkness as the sun was blocked by something immense. Distant screams could be heard as the population fled to the church or back into their homes. There was one word that echoed through the startling panic that had driven the villagers to seek refuge. And oh how that word traveled, faster then the wind and feared by all. "Dragon!" The dark shape plummeted through the air again, casting the village in shadow as it flew erratically over head. Surely the guard had been alerted and would be mustering to defend the village and castle.
The ground shook and birds took flight as a deep, thunderous roar tore through the sky sending chills down the backs of even the most experienced fighters. Surely if the dragon wanted to attack it would have done so already. Fire would have rained down from the sky in a deadly fire storm. The smell of burning flesh and the screams of the humans would echo through the air. But that was not so. Yet still the population panicked as chaos descended. The foolish and frantic took to the streets, while the smart and scared stayed within their shelters, many flocked towards the castle gates.
Something fell from the sky, in irregular but persistent drips. The stench of iron and fire accompanied the strange droplets falling from the sky. A small, hot droplet of the mysterious liquid fell onto Lhaindes's porcelain skin standing out in stark contrast. The droplet was a deep, vibrant red. It was raining blood, presumably the dragons that flew over the village in sickeningly fast swoops. Another deep and thunderous roar pierced through the chaos sending small tendrils of pain through the populations ears from the sheer volumes. The panic of the townsfolk increased seven fold with each mighty roar.
Dragons hadn't been seen in the area for ages, not since the castle was raised and the human population increased. Dragons were known for staying in their mountains and forests to the north. The wilderness their kingdom and home. It was incredibly odd and rare to see a dragon in these parts. If the manic townsfolk had stopped to actually think about what they were seeing they would be in awe. They were not likely to see another dragon in their lifetime. They would also notice that the dragon was not acting aggressively. Just when the panicked people thought it couldn't get worse something horrible happened. Another tremendous roar sounded, but this one was different, higher in pitch and stronger. A larger shadow encompassed the town as yet another dragon appeared, slamming into the first. Fire illuminated the sky as they waged their aerial battle. The first dragon, its scales a void of obsidian, was smaller then the second and obviously the better flyer, even injured. But the strength and size of the second, a storm grey, was two much for the obsidian. Blood rained down properly as the terrible battle ensued over head. Trees caught fire and the heat of the sudden bursts of fire was even felt far below the dragons on the ground.

1 Day Earlier
Zero had been traveling, on foot, for countless days. He was tired and smelled terribly. His black hair was stringy with grease and dirt while his slightly tanned skin seemed even darker due to the grim. A set of dual swords were attached to his belt and a small pack slung across his back. Not many knew that dragons could take on human form and the dragons liked it that way. He sighed in annoyance. It would be easier to fly, and a lot faster. He hated traveling in human form. Humans were weak and frail, susceptible to the cold and wounds. He was a dragon! He shouldn't be reduced to walking through the woods but flying would cause more trouble then it was worth.
1 Hour Earlier
He had spotted the other dragon, flying high in the sky. Even at such a distance its form was unmistakable. Rage and horror filled Zero as he recognized this particular dragon. He had reached the edge of the village and had been looking forward to relaxing and taking a hot, long, bath. But that would have to wait because the other dragon, his brother, would bring a rain of fire and death to the village. Someone had to defend the innocents who were unaware of the impending trouble. The castle guard would stand no chance against the likes of his brother. Zero sighed furiously letting out a soft string of curses. He couldn't just walk away, pass the village and turn a blind eye. The body count would be too high for him to ignore, plus he would have to travel through the wilderness longer without a warm bath and bed. That thought was more appalling then the death count to him. And so Zero took to the sky to fight his brother.
Present
The guard was assembling to engage the dragons. They shouted for the townsfolk to get out of the way. Things were escalating quickly: to pure, unfiltered chaos.

Lhaindes had continued walking around the marketplace. She wasn't walking to anywhere in particular, though. She twisted the blade around with her fingers, the sunlight bouncing off of the brand new shiny blade. The tip of the blade dug into her index finger as she twirled it as she prompted forward with the tiniest of smirks splayed across her features. Oh, how she loved being rewarded...
"Dragon!"
A frantic cry washed over the crowds of people. With a finger pointing at the sky above, the person looked up with a terrified look on their face. Lhaindes had heard that word before. Everything seemed to go silent at the very sound of it. Of course she knew what a dragon was. She knew what a dragon could do. Lhaindes remained frozen in the very spot she stopped moving. Her blade had slowly stopped twirling as she looked down at it. Maybe it was just something she had heard in her head after being use to kids always screaming the word jokingly and getting everyone hyped up and worried only to find the kid was just joking and just wanted to create a scene. Dragons hadn't been seen in ages. She wasn't even sure what one looked like anymore.
The ring in Lhaindes' ears faded away when she heard a sharp whistle come from over her head. The whistle of something flying through the wind. She saw people immediately duck at the corners of her eyes, as if the creature had swooped right over top of their heads. It was then that her eyes widened at the reflection she saw in her blade when a thunderous, piercing roar rained down on the people from the clouds.
Lhaindes immediately covered her ears to try and block out the loud and unknown noise. Her blade dropped in the frantic process and landed with a thud on the sandy ground. People from everywhere immediately began screaming and trying to run for some sort of shelter. Some others remained outside and were still as stunned at the sight and frozen in spot like Lhaindes was. She shook her head and was drawn out of her daydream when people began pushing and shoving their way through crowds, tramping over the elf. She put her hands out in front of her, trying to block her face as she pushed towards the crowds to get out.
She finally felt the weight of people pushing against her stop as she opened her eyes and squinted. She could smell the horrible stench of burning trees and vomit on the streets all mixed in one horrifying smell. She couldn't even look up to get a glimpse of what was going on. All the sudden, a single drop of liquid fell upon Lhaindes' cheek. Her mind immediately thought rain, but then she brought her hand up and wiped the droplet off her cheek when the crimson colour spread to her fingertips and started leaking down her fingers in a slow, stringy matter until it reached her palm. She looked up and was blinded by bright lights of fire and the stinging of the red droplets of blood filing her eyesight and mouth. It tasted like a bitter metal and it pained her eyes. She squinted as blood continued to rain over the village. She could hardly see anything as she put her hood up to somewhat protect her from the blood rain as she ran ahead to the guards.
The sound of yells shouting back at the villagers to retreat back to shelter filled Lhaindes' ears as she approached a guard readying his bow. She looked up at him through her eyesight full of red spots and a burning sensation.
"What--!" A cough made it's way up from her lungs as she tried to speak at first. The smoke and the taste of blood felt like it was closing her throat up. "What happened!? Where did they come from?" She yelled over the fire and the sound of mighty roars from above them.
"We don't know! You need to get to safety, Lhaindes. We need to try and protect the village and Queen Violet!" The guard yelled back as he locked his arrow in place and aimed up at the sky. Lhaindes couldn't bring herself to look up yet. It was mostly out of the fact that the bright lights and smoke were fogging up her vision, and fear. Fear of what she might see if she were to look up. She looked at the guard with a cold stare.
"I'm not going anywhere! I need to help and protect everyone too!" She yelled as she wiped her face now full of blood. The red liquid smeared all up and down her arms but she didn't care. She took down her hood and the blood now mixed with her blonde locks. Red within gold. She looked at the guard.
"I need a bow!"

The smoke hung thickly in the air in dark billowing clouds and puffs. It was almost like there was a thunder storm, the blood like rain, the roars like thunder, the bright flashes lighting. It had been ages since man kind had suffered the wrath of dragons. Whole towns and cities were burned. Kingdoms would fall and burn in a matter of days. But those dark days were gone, centuries past although the almost instinctual fear remained. Rooted deeply in the hearts of all man kind. Even the dwares and elves still held a fear of the fire wyrms to the north.
The aerial battle had a certain grace mixed within its horror. Zero, the obsidian dragon, was nimble and fast. He moved through the air like he was the wind; dive bombing his brother in a vicious attack of fire and fang. Seth had his strength and size to use against him though and once he latched on there was no letting go. Seth had managed to snap his jaws around one of Zero's forelegs while Zero sunk his fangs deep into his brother's wing. Both dragons plummeted towards the ground at a startling speed.
Luckly most of the villagers had found refuge. The chaos and screaming was now almost nonexistent, at least it couldn't be heard over the battle raging in the sky. The smoke blocked out the sun causing the morning to appear more like night. The darkness was unsettling and unnatural. Zero and Seth separated with just enough time to avoid slamming into the houses below them. They flew mere feet above the houses, putting their immense size into prospective. The houses were dwarfed compared to them, crashing into them would have been like a toddler knocking over a tower made of books or blocks. Zero came swooping over head, his claws clipping a near by chimney, sending it crumbling from the house. With a mighty flap of his wings he pulled upward, spiraling higher into the sky. He had been over the group of guards when he did this. The sound of his roar literally shook the ground. It was easy to see why Dragons were creatures of legend, feared and respected by all.
"Prepare yourself!" one of the older guards screeched. He, like many of the others was drenched in blood, his armor and clothing slick with the red substance. What the older guard warned of was unknown, until the massive gale of wind almost knocked them all over. It was created from the final flap of wings as Zero Spiraled upwards into the sky. Seth had set his sights on something else entirely though: the castle. The monstrous grey beast had started to fly towards the castle when a sheering blast of flame irrupted from Zero's maw, coating the back end of his brother in fire. Some of the blast caught a few unlucky houses aflame. The battle ensued, just as bloody and fierce some as before. Zero had little time to think about the villagers, if he became distracted he would die. it was as simple as that because when two dragons fought it was until the death.
The older guard handed Lhaindes a bow and quiver "may your aim be true." he murmured, almost to himself. His fellow guards often mocked him for being an 'old superstitious man' but he was born and raised in the north. He knew of the death and suffering that accompanied dragon flame. Both dragons flew over head again and the old man took aim. "Now is our chance!" he shouted before letting lose an arrow. It was difficult to see if it found its mark, or if it had an impact at all. The blood was coming down in a thicker rain, causing the ground to be slippery and their grips slick. It seemed the fighting was coming to a draw, neither Zero or Seth able to pull of a killing or crippling blow. The battle raged over the platoon of guards, neither dragon paying much attention to them. For a moment Zero thought he was getting the upper hand, but then Seth caught him in a blast of flame.
"May the gods have mercy on us." The older guard said as he fired arrow after arrow. They had to bring the beasts down or the whole town would burn. Although no one seemed to realize that the obsidian dragon was fighting to protect the village. To man a dragon was a dragon. Arrows flew past Zero and Seth, most bouncing off their heavily armored underbellies although some pierced their wing membranes. Seth was tiring and was now looking for a way to retreat. Zero, wouldn't mind if his brother fled, his open wounds bled freely. He had defiantly received the worse part of the beating. Both dragon's wounds made perfect targets for arrows, all it would take was a well aimed shot.

From a distant corner of the town, a stranger on a horse had rode into town. She was observing the whole fight, never letting her eyes of the smaller dragon. This stranger was Johanna, a girl with semi-long hair, strangly manly pants and a corset. Her normally sweet and soft face was pulled in a frown. With narrowed eyes, she muttered quietly to her self. "I can't believe this dumb dumb. I should of known he would go after Seth. I hope Seth bites his behind off so I don't have a chance to kick it. Look at him, all like 'oh look, I'm a dragon. I'm allowed to cheat.'"
Johanna started riding around, still aiming and shooting arrows at the bigger dragon. As she tried to block his attacks to protect Zero, she knew it was useless. One of them would have to give up. Maybe she could distract him? A stupid idea really. Johanna impulsive as she was, yelled out the first thing she could think of while still aiming for his wounds. "Hey Seth! Your mom is ugly!" But then she remembered that they were brothers so Seth's mom was also Zero's mom, right? She covered her face with her hand at her own stupidity. "I'm sorry, Z." She yelled again a bit embarrassed.

"You have horrible directional skills and would get lost in the woods outside your palace if left unattended." Johanna mimicked Zero's voice in a very high pitched way. "I'll show that firebreather." She said sharp while walking with a very fast pace, her arms swinging angrily next to her body from front to back. She clenched her fists and grinded her teeth, making her jaw extra sharp looking. The sun had been extremily hot that day and sweatdrops were decorating her forehead but she didn't slow down. She had to be faster then Zero, even if it would cost her her life. /You'd think after lying that he would be carefull with what he says.. BUT NO!/ While thinking this to herself she shook her head aggressively.

After walking for a very long time, with only a couple of hours sleep every now and then, Johanna was getting tired. But she didn't have long to think about that because all of a sudden a huge shadow fell upon her. Her first reaction was to grab her sword which hung on her belt and with that she lifted it to the sky for the unseen threat. Johanna gasped as she recognized both creatures fight. She couldn't believe her eyes. She needed to get to the town. NOW! God must have heard her pray because not so far down the road, she found a sleeping man with a horse tied down around a tree. As she untied the creature and got on, she threw her bag of gold towards the man, making it land on his chest and waking him. "I'm so sorry. Here is everything I own. God bless you." As she urged her horse, she could hear the man yell 'what?' and 'Thanks!'.
Present
The fight was getting out of control. People scattered everywhere and the bloodrain colored everything red. Johanna didn't intervene, knowing she wouldn't be able to stop Zero or the guards for that matter. She would wait until one of them finally got to the ground. She stayed on her horse, ready to ride to where Zero would land, wounded or not. But it didn't look good as the arrows flew around and the blood kept spilling. They were going to kill him. As mad as she was at his recklessness, the thought of losing him was greater. "STOP!" She yelled at the guards. "DON'T YOU SEE THAT HE IS TRYING TO PROTECT YOU? SHOOT AT THE BIGGER ONE.." Her voice barely came above the noise but she saw a couple of guards look at her so she knew the sound arrived. After yelling at the guards, she grabbed the long bow on her back and grabbed an arrow to then point it at Seth. She may not have been as skilled in archery as she was with sword but the arrows did do their job. One even got pretty close to his eye but missed when he changed directions.Johanna started riding around, still aiming and shooting arrows at the bigger dragon. A hooded figure walks into town amidst the chaos, seemingly unaware of the danger but inspecting the town as any traveler would. Until he spots something that catches his eye, something shiny. A dagger on the ground. He couches down to pick it up and tests the edge before ticking it in his belt. He continues down the street not paying attention to the battling dragons or the fire that has consumed the building next to him until a stray spark catches onto his cloak and soon sets it aflame. Ripping the cloak off he reveals two sword sand a multitude of daggers in various places on his leather armor. But the most striking of features is the symbols branded underneath his eyes.
He draws his swords and runs to the guards and offers what help he may
