"Lead the way then." Nico said.
"You really sure that's a good idea?" Seeder interjected, somewhat snarkily.
"I'm sure he'll be fine... I hope. You do know how to get home from here right?"

"I'm sure he'll be fine... I hope. You do know how to get home from here right?"
"I think so..." He headed in the direction he said, getting to his apartment in about half an hour, after taking wrong turns about three times.
"Finally, we're here!" Nico exclaimed once they finally made it to Mitoka's apartment complex. "Man, you'd think that a guy that moved around a lot would have a better sense of direction. So, this is where you and your Mamodo live?"
"Ya." He said as he opened the door to a small, two room apartment. There where several packed boxes all over. On the table, one of the only furniture piece, was a weasel standing on a copper book, hissing threateningly.
"Whoa, easy their little guy, we come in peace!" Seeder stated, he and Nico raising their hands in the air, as if to show that they had no weapons. From the look on the Mamodo's face, it seemed to know that Nico and Seeder were a Mamodo Team, if the giant walking Mushroom wasn't proof enough.
"Yeah, look here," Nico said as he brought out his Spell Book, causing the Mamodo to hiss more harshly. "Whoa, whoa, it's ok, really, look..." He insisted as he slowly walked over to a stack of boxes and placed the book on top of it, then slowly walking back to his original spot, the Book now out of reach. "See, we're not here to fight, promise." He assured.

"His bark is worse then his bite." Mitoka stated. "The only reason he leaves that book is to eat what I leave for him, do his business, or if he thinks that there is no one around."
"Hmm, is that so." Seeder stated, putting a finger to his chin in contemplation. It made sense that a Mamodo would want to protect their book with their lives, and most Mamodo could tell who their Book Keepers were, so there really was no need to show it off at all. So that left only two explanations, either this Mitoka guy wasn't this Mamodo's Book Keeper, or he is and the Mamodo just doesn't want to partake in the battle.
Seeder approached the Mamodo, who became much more defensive of the Book as he did so. "Calm down now, I'm just as harmless as you are right now, remember." He said, pointing at his book. "So, Mitoka saved your life huh?"

"Still with the hissing huh?" Seeder stated, meeting the Weasel's stare. "Come on, lighten up, I told you we're not here to fight, we just want to talk, I swear."
Seeder let out a sigh at the Weasel's reaction, it was stubborn as a mule and Seeder was beginning to lose his patience. However, as he examined his body, a thought came to him. "Hey, Mitoka, you said you saved this guys life right, what exactly do you mean by that?"
"Well, when it found him, there was a large gash across his body, and he was losing a lot of blood." He said, remembering the incident. "I was only able to patch him up because he was knocked out cold."
"And this was, like, a month ago, right?" He asked rhetorically before turning back to the Mamodo. "So tell me, why are you still hanging around this human in the first place?" He asked it. "Mamodos heal a lot faster than humans, so it's not like you're still injured or anything, and with you so protective over your Spell Book, you make it seem like Mitoka isn't your Book Keeper. So why, why still hang around him when you know that other Mamodos will come after you, if there's one thing I can't forgive, its Mamodos that drag innocent Humans into this battle. Or maybe... he is your Book Keeper and you just don't want to take part in the fight, is that it, cause either way you're putting the guy who saved your life in some serious danger, hell of a way to show your gratitude." Seeder seemed much more serious now.
The weasel gave a huff before standing on its hind legs, and picking up its book. It ran into an open door, closing it behind him and a click being clearly audible.
"Well that could've gone better." Nico said with a sigh. "No offense Mitoka, but your Mamodo's a dick."
"He definitely have an attitude, I don't like it one bit." Seeder added with his arms crossed. "Every word I said was true by the way, as long as that Mamodo is around you're gonna be in danger. Whether you're not his Book Keeper or he doesn't want to participate in the battle, a powerless Mamodo is just a danger to everyone around him... do you have any idea why he sticks around with that attitude of his?

"How long, hmm... a little over two months, maybe three." Seeder replied, not entirely sure of his accuracy. "I appeared in this world in a place called Australia, it took me about two weeks to find my way over to America, and another to find Nico here. It's a very scary time, the initial search for your Book Keeper, aimlessly wandering around an unfamiliar world, always looking over your shoulder for Mamodos that have already found their partners, you can't help but feel a sense of desperation, and even loneliness. That's why your Mamodo's behavior doesn't make any sense, if your not his Book Keeper than why is he still hanging around you, and if you are his Book Keeper why won't he let you read his book... it just doesn't make any sense."
"I thought that he was that way so he doesn't have to find his book owner, because he's afraid of what else is out there. If he arrived the same day you did, then he was injured about the same day he arrived." Mitoka explained.
"Do you know how he was injured, like was it another Mamodo or something?" Nico asked.
