Nico just sighed in annoyance. "Fine, if you're gonna be like that, we're leaving." He said, walking over to the bare door frame with the wounded Seeder in toe. "Good luck with your bratty Mamodo Mitoka, see you in class."
"Hey, wait." He called. "What abou- ouch!" The weasel had bit Mitoka, causing him to drop the spell book before running off with it.
"Look Mitoka, I'm just gonna give it to you straight." Seeder said, still clutching his wound. "I don't care what that Mamodo's reason is, he's an ungrateful little jerk who has no problem putting your life in danger just so he doesn't have to turn into that... shark thing and fight. So unless you want to keep having one sided battles with other Mamodo teams, with absolutely zero help from him, the best thing for both of you is just burn his book and send him back home."
"Your...house?" Nico said. He and Seeder looked around at all of the damage, it seems they had gone a little overboard during the fight, but then again it was impossible to have zero property damage in a Mamodo battle. "Oh right, your house. Uh...insurance?" Nico laughed awkwardly.
Nico let out a sigh. "Look, I'm really sorry for recking your house man, but the reality is this..." He motioned to all of the destruction. "This is just par for the course, Mamodo Battles are destructive, and we just have to... deal with the after math." He explained.
"I know it sounds like I'm being a little insensitive, but trust me, I know what's up, it was the same way for me when I first teamed up with Seeder. So like I said, unless you want to keep dealing with all of this, with absolutely no help or empathy from that bratty Weasel, I say you just burn his book and get back to a normal life, but it's your choice, and whatever you decide, I wish you the best of luck."

"You said this was a competition to decides who becomes king, right? Well, do you even know if he wants to be, or his reason for wanting to be?"
"Well... no, I can't really say I do." Nico admitted. "But, come on, if he really wanted to be king than he would at least let you, his Book Keeper near his book. No matter how you look at it he clearly doesn't want to fight in this battle, so the best thing to do is to just put him out of his misery and burn his book, right Seeder." He turned to his partner, who had a thoughtful look on his face.
"Hmm... I'm not so sure actually." Seeder said. "I mean, I know I'm the one who suggested it, but when I really think about it, his behavior REALLY doesn't make any sense. If he really didn't want to fight, then why be so protective of his book, why not just let the Mamodos that come for him burn it, it'd be a lot easier that way. And it can't be that he was just saving the book for his Book Keeper, because he clearly knew that you were his Book Keeper and even with undeniable proof he's still keeping the book from you, so he definitely doesn't want to fight. So, why, why is he trying so hard to keep the book from burning...?"

"Because he wants to be king." Mitoka stated. "I may not know why, but he does. And you shouldn't bad mouth him without knowing the reasons for why he does what he does."
"Well I'm sorry, really I am," Seeder said, raising his voice a little. "But news flash, wanting to be king isn't anything special, that Sven guy wanted to be king, hell I want to be king, and if I want to be king then I have to fight for it, simple as that. I know it's not the best way to choose a ruler, in fact, it can be rather cruel, almost sadistic, but... if that Weasel thinks he can just wait it out, just hide and let the rest of us kill each other off, then he has another thing coming!" Seeder was screaming at this point, unable to contain his frustration with the Weasel's behavior any longer.
"You're right, I don't know the reasons behind his behavior, and if you say he wants to be king, then I'll take your word for it, but..." Seeder's hand tightened around around his wound and his free hand balled into a fist. "Any Mamodo that would put his human partner in danger like this, that won't fight for what he believes in, whatever that may be, that would just run away and hide while those of us who are willing to do anything to make our dreams come true slaughter each other, DOESN'T DESERVE TO BE KING AT ALL!!!" Seeder breathed heavily after that long speech, Nico just stared at him, he never realized how strongly he felt about this, he himself was just annoyed at the Weasel's behavior, but Seeder... he was furious.

Seeder's hand tightened around around his wound and his free hand balled into a fist. "And you think that a king is someone who would easily kill and sacrifice his own allies?" Mitoka looked at the direction the weasel had gone. "He was holding himself back." The weasel came back with a first aid kit in it's mouth, placing it in front of Nico and Seeder before running back.
Seeder and Nico were surprised by the gesture, looking at each other uncomfortably before Nico picked the first aid kit up and began to dress Seeder's wound. The Mamodo let out a sigh.
"Ok, fine, maybe I went a little too far with that last comment," He admitted. "But my point still stands, if that little guy wants to be King, then he has to fight, and not just fight, put his all into it. I'm not saying be completely ruthless like that Sven guy was, but... whatever his reasons for not fighting are, he needs to get over them now, otherwise, not only will he be eliminated from the battle, but you'll probably not live to see his book get burned." He warned.

Nico and Seeder stopped what they were doing once they heard the claim.
"Twelve," Nico said with shock. "Wait, you mean to say that you ran into twelve Mamodo Teams and you managed to get away from all of them?"

Nico and Seeder were somewhat awestruck, to think they actually just ran from twelve Mamodo, it was somewhat impressive. Nico let out a sigh.
"You're a really good partner Mitoka, I'll give you that, supporting your Mamodo unconditionally like this, if you two would just open the damn book and fight you'd probably be the perfect team." He admitted. "But, even if you've made it this far with your "hide and seek" technique, heck even if you made it all the way to the final ten Mamodo teams like that, you won't become king like that, for one simple reason." He stood and opened his book to first spell. "If by some miracle you manage to make it to the final battle, no matter who end up having to fight, your opponent is going to have ten times as many spells as yours will. Spells are unlocked through battles, no battles, no new spells, and with only the two of you left you'll have no choice but to fight. Tell me, do you honestly think you'll be able to defeat an opponent with spells that can possibly destroy mountains with that one, rudimentary transformation spell?"

"Well..." He thought about it for a minute. "If the enemy is near an obstacle, and don't know our location, we can use the spell to surprise attack them from behind, similar to what just happened."
"And you honestly think that'll work, against a super powerful and experienced Mamodo that will not only see that coming but also have the fire power to blow away the ground benethe you?" Nico replied.
"Well no. I would need at least two or three plans of approach before even thinking about challenging an enemy of that caliber."
