"And however many you come up with they'll have a hundred different ways of countering it!" Nico shot back.
"It may be hypothetical, but one way or another you're going to run into an opponent you can't run away from or take down in one fell swoop. Face it, if you don't start fighting now you'll have no chance of becoming king." Nico stated.
(Odd, it didn't post.)
"Says the veteran to the noob that has just learned."
"Says the veteran to the noob that has just learned."
"Noob? You have encountered 12 Mamodos already, you knew this was a battle and you still refused to fight, this isn't about being inexperienced, it's about being to stubborn to slap some sense into your Mamodo and start taking this battle seriously!" Nico exclaimed, still hoping to convince this man.
"Look, it really is your decision, fight this battle however you want, but know this." Seeder stood up and faced Mitoka with Nico. "If you survive till the end like this, and it comes down to the four of us, we will burn your book." With that the team left the destroyed apartment, they didn't even care that Seeder didn't have his desguise on, they just wanted to get home. There was a tense silence, both wondering the same thing.
"Seeder, you think we were too hard on them?" Nico asked.
"No, if that Mamodo wants to be king, he has to fight for it, I've accepted that, and so do they." He replied.

After they where gone, Mitoka gave out a sigh. "Man, they could have at least helped me clean up before my landlord showed up."
Once they were back at their apartment, Nico and Seeder began properly treating their wounds. Seeder hissed as he disinfected the large gash that was left from Sven's Eijasu Sorudoruku attack, placing some bandages over them afterwords. He looked over at Nico, who was treating his own wounds.
"...Hey, Nico." He said, gaining the human's attention. "Do you... really think that Weasel wanted to become King, I mean, all we have to go on is his partner's hunch, I mean, he didn't even know this was all about becoming King, how could he know what his partner wanted then?" He mused. Nico pondered the question, it was rather strange, but after all that he's experienced fighting in the Mamodo battle, he was willing to believe anything.
"Well, it's not the best evidence one could ask for, I mean, the way his Mamodo acts all points to him not wanting anything to do with the battle." He stated. "But... I mean, Mamodos can instantly tell who their book keepers are, right? Well, then is it really so hard to believe that a human could innately understand things about their Mamodo partners?"
"...Yeah, I guess that makes sense." He admitted, looking out the window. Nico smiled and placed a comforting hand on Seeder's head.
"Don't worry too much about it, since they don't battle we don't have to worry about fighting them for now, and with their method they'll probably be leaving soon anyway. Let's just focus on us and our battles, on making you King, ok?" He said with a soft smile. Seeder smiled back and nodded in agreement.

Nico left the train station and walked his usual route to class. As he turned the corner, he saw Mitoka, once again fumbling to decide which direction to go in. He let out a sigh and approached him as he began to head down an incorrect path.
"Hey, you're going the wrong way." He said, gaining his attention. "The lecture hall is this way, if you're having so much trouble finding it you might want to get a map." He suggested.

Mitoka stopped when Nico got to him. "Well, I've never been that good with directions, even with a map."
"Eh, don't worry about, walk the path a few times and I'm sure you'll memorize it... eventually." Nico replied, still dumbfounded by the apparently well traveled man's terrible sense of direction. "Anyway, the lecture hall is this way, just follow me." He said, starting down the path.
There was an awkward silence as they walked to their class, Nico was surprised that Mitoka would even talk to him after all that was said the day before. After a while Nico's curiosity got the better of him.
"So, how's your Mamodo doing, you two still gonna be playing Hide and Seek?" He asked.
"So, how's your Mamodo doing, you two still gonna be playing Hide and Seek?" He asked.
"To be honest, I don't know. I've been to busy trying to find a place to stay." He admitted.
Nico twitched awkwardly.
"Ah, so you're place was that messed up huh?" He said, feeling a little guilty about destroying the man's apartment.

"...well," He began. "...I know we're not exactly on the best of terms but, if you want... you guys can stay with us." He offered reluctantly.
"Really? That would help a bunch." He said. "Just hope he doesn't cause to much trouble with Seeder."
"Don't worry about it, I'll handle Seeder." Nico assured. "Besides, its obvious you guys aren't a threat the way you're playing it, so just pack up your stuff and meet me at my place, it's the least we can do for destroying your place and all."
