"I'd rather not, sir." Akura turned bored expression toward her temporary master. It was rainy and cold, a night like all the others in this frozen season. But in reality it was summertime here. Unfortunately she was stuck here in this outfit store with him to find an apparel worthy of the real master she would be serving. She looked out the store's window and saw people hurrying to get to their warm homes and wondered what her home would be like now if the orcs hadn't invaded and destroyed everything.
It was the Nifhim's fault; or Dragon as the nubbed ear folks called them here, for the continuing winter like season. It had made it's home on the mountain, had a rather large family and now the constant smoke of their fires clouded out the Sun. What looked like snow was actually ash and it was a terrible thing to clean out of clothes. To compensate for it, people normally wore shades of black or grey. It was terrible for the farmers who moved to find better soil and warm sun for their crops. Which in turn affected the markets. She was surprised that the man she was going to serve was still making money here. But he was the owner of many mines throughout the countries and made a pretty penny doing so. Maybe he would decide to move to find green field so that he could drink his expensive tea and eat bread. She tried not to giggle.
"But you must Akura," the annoying man grabbed her attention once more. "The master requires the outfit of all his female staff." he was holding up a rather...small garment and placing it her lap as if the conversation was over. Which in truth it was. She had no rights here. Only to serve the ones that paid her. Akura stood with the garment clinched in her fist and walked briskly to the changing room were she took an hour or more just putting the ghastly thing on. Not only that, But trying to figure out how it was supposed to be put on her. Finally she walked out, slowly and nervously. She was a nice shape for a dark elf. Her long mint green hair flowed down her back and her Amber eyes, a bit dull from the fire it once held, was always looking for something to fuel them once more.
She was short, which wasn't normal for an elf who were usually tall and lanky. So she assumed her father may have been a nub ear. Akura walked out and the man clapped his hands. "Wonderful, absolutely perfect! The master will be pleased." the man put a cloak around her shoulders and led her to the expensive car. It took another two hours just to reach the huge mansion to which she would be servicing. After being rushed in, introduced to the maids and being dolled up once more, she was headed to see the master. The large doors opened and she half expected the man to be a short, fat old man who liked to gaze up ladies skirts. However, the man she saw was none of that sort. He was, in a way, very handsome. Which was sort of a relief for her.

Elsewhere in the house scurried the small form of a gremlin. As with many, this gremlin shared many characteristics with rodents and lizards, whilst being humanoid. The Gremlin walked through the basement of the house, dragging a wrench behind her. Recently she'd been working on a 'car' which had thankfully gone unnoticed by everyone in the house. Her clothes were made from scraps of cloth she tore off of some of the dresses. Her clothes resembled a shawl, over a halter top that left her belly exposed. She wore a skirt that had an opening running up the left side, exposing some of the gremlin's leg. She wore a pair of stockings that went up to half her thigh and had her toes free. She wore similarly designed 'gloves'. She had a few 'armor' plates on her, such as a thigh guard on her left thigh, knee pads and shin guards, a set of gauntlets, and a set of shoulder pads. She also had a helmet, but rarely wore it. Atop her head sat a pair of hand made goggles.
"Come on! There's gotta be oil down her some where!"The gremlin groaned, digging through the various crates in the basement. "They had wiring down here, all the necessary parts down here! But some hwo they don't have Oil?!"She grumbled to herself. Her 'car' was a patch work job. Most of it was made of an armored boot she stole from a knight some time ago. It had the wheels of a toy car attached to it, amongst various other things added into it that she saw from regular sized cars. "Seriously! How can they NOT have oil down here! Where else would somebody keep it?"She asked, climbing out of a crate and scratching her head.

(Yeah I'm actually not using this OC. Give me a sec...)
Akura was given her daily chores from her master and was scooted out of the way. He was too busy for her for the moment.what a waste of time she thought. All the prepping and clothing and waiting was for a few minutes to get her list and locked of the room.
She sighed And read the list and headed toward the first room. "Tidy the basement." she grumbled. "Where is the basement." Akura opened several doors and closed them. It took almost an hour to find it. Or what she assumed was it. It was...dusty. She started to sneeze as she picked up some cleaning equipment and began to 'tidy'
The dust was terrible, she swore she sneezed a hundred Times by the time she got to one last bit of the room. There she found a little car. It was really something to look at. Bending down, she reached out to touch it.

Jenny continued rummaging around in the basement for a while before finding the oil she needed. She dragged it behind her before she heard the door open. She held in a yelp and quickly hid, unknowingly leaving not only the oil, but her car out in the open.
Jenny peeked from her hiding spot seeing Akura coming in. Thankfully, she didn't seem to notice Jenny. "Don't touch that!"Jenny demanded in her head. Unfortunately not many people liked her kind, and if she just strolled out into the open, it would be entirely possible that she'd be kicked into a wall or something. But an idea crossed Jenny's mind. She glanced down at the wrench she was still carrying. If she could thwack Akura in the head, she might be able to knock the girl out and move her car elsewhere.
Jenny tried to think of a way to hit Akura. She soon climbed up ontop of a box behind the girl. She held her wrench up and threw it. Unfortunately, Jenny misjudged the distance between her and Akura, as well as her own strength. The wrench only flew about a foot away from Jenny, before hitting the floor with a clank and sliding over to Akura, stopping at the heel of her foot.

Akura turned on her heel to see what hit her heel. Seeing the small wrench and picked it up. She seen these used before. Looking around to find the owner she got on her hands and knees. There where only a few creatures small enough to be handy with tools. The question was which of them was it.
"You can come out." she whispered. "Can you make other things? Other than cars I mean?" she tried to coax whatever it was out. "I'm a dark elf, I'm friendly with all creatures. Unless you bite." she muttered the last bit to herself. She heard no answer for a minute so she sighed and picked up the small wrench And set it by the car so it wouldn't get kicked and become lost.

Oop: I was actually thinking Jenny's wrench was a normal sized Wrench .
Jenny had managed to hide herself before Akura turned. She peeked her head out from her hiding spot. Akura's response certainly wasn't what Jenny was expecting. Part of her wanted to come out and answer, but she decided that wasn't too good of an idea. Jenny then remembered something. She also had a hide out in the Mansion's attic and had utilized the building's Dolly system as an Elevator.
Jenny gulped stepping out of her hiding spot when Akura turned her back. She quickly darted fr the dolly system, but was keeping her eyes on Akura. Should the elf turn around Jenny would have to duck into another hiding spot. Unfortunately, Jenny wasn't watching where she was going. She ran into the oil bucket she had found, knocking it over and drenching herself in oil. She yelped as it spilled out over her, coughing and gagging as plenty of oil went into her mouth.

She was almost out the door when the loud sound caused her to turn. She was looking around before she actually tried looked down at the shadowy area that held the car. The gremlin had been covered in oil and was coughing. Akura grabbed a soapy rag from her rack of cleaning supplies and slowly made her way toward her. Not wanting to scare the gremlin, and causing her to hurt herself trying to run away.
She spoke softly and tried to keep the gremlin calm. "I haven't seen your kind in ages." she smiled and knelt down to try to clean some of the oil off her small face so that she could see. Other than touching her with the rag, Akura didn't touch her in any other way. Not knowing how the creature would react to being held. "That's better right? Can you see?" Akura tried to get a better look at her.

Jenny backed up ocne her face was cleaned off. "Go away!"She demanded. Jenny stood up, and turned to run, but quickly slipped on the oil . She landed with a splat, only covering herself in more oil. "Son of a!"Jenny swore, wiping as much oil off herself as she could.
"Thanks for coming down here by the way!"Jenny groaned. "Now, you're gonna go and blab about me to all your stupid maid friends, and one of them is gonna tell the home owner, and he's gonna call an extemrinator to come get rid of me!"Jenny shouted angrily.

She got on her knees and laughed. "I'm new here, I have no friends yet." she sat the rag down so the gremlin, if she chose to, could clean herself off. "And this was your home before mine, I have no right to get you thrown out." Akura gestured to the toy car. "And you have a great talent."
She reached in her pocket and pulled out a broken necklace that she held onto for years. "If you don't believe me, I would like to make a request." she set it down, "I would love it if you could repair this. In return I will look for things you require for your toy car. Also a portion of what I receive here to eat." the necklace was a gift from her mother before she left home. It got shattered when the clasp broke and it got ran over.

"It's NOT a Toy! It'll work once I put oil in it..."Jenny said angrily as she grabbed the rag and dragged it over to herself, and began wiping off as much oil as she could. Unfortunately she'd need to take a bath to completely clean herself. Jenny glanced down at the necklace and picked it up examining it. "Fine."Jenny said. "Just don't mess with my stuff."She said.
