Rynh, Valder would've told Elodar and Isabelle some of the stories he had from wars and such right?
I should prolly wait for Trippin again.

He'd have definitely told the tales of how he received his titles, yes!

Ok, cause I got the idea that Isabelle might be a bit bitter to him for having killed people in the past.
Isabelle doesn't know that though, she can't read minds.
Isabelle would hate on the entire party if you ask me. Killing is quite common in medieval fantasy.
Besides, a necromancer basically raises the dead from their rest. That could technically be way worse than murder, right?
Sketch mentioned her whole culture sees dreary as the worst thing, though, and necromancy simply as a way to escape it. So to her, murder is much worse than raising the dead.
Yeah, you're right there. Still dunno about the murder thing, though. I mean, your elf's an archer. Surely she would realize the bow is not just for show?
Mm, but it's mostly for hunting, and didn't she order a meat plate?
Maybe Isabelle's more bitter to him not just for having killed, but for having been a soldier and thus killed more than most? I would also assume he was telling the stories with pride, which would've been an even bigger no no for Isabelle.
Edit: And I'm still working everything out, not sure if she'd feel the same about an animal dying.

Well, much as we frown on killing people in reality, hunting for food is completely accepted by most. So it'd be a mix of how she viewed animals compared to traditionally "intelligent" beings, and how she feels about survival and a truly living creature's need for nutrients.
Hmmn. I think we should wait for Rynh for this, but I guess you're right, Nova. Also, the fact that Valder would be telling the stories with apparent pride and satisfaction could be pretty bad in her eyes, like Sketch said.
I mean, hearing a soldier nowadays telling stories of how he killed a ton of people in the army could be a bit bad.

Perhaps Isabelle could instead be bitter towards Valder for taking such pride in killing a whole load of Goblinoids. Death a is part of life, but it doesn't have to be something one takes pride in having dealt a hand in.
EDIT: Oops Loren said exactly the same thing my bad

Maybe Isabelle would frown upon killing to acquire unnecessary material possessions or out of emotional reasons, rather than necessities like survival? Though I kinda like the idea of an undead 'vegetarian' and am totally willing to forget the duck... But then again there will be killing involved in this rp, so I'm not sure how that would work out, and to be fair I'd assume that most of our characters will join the party and do said killing out of material and emotional reasons so...eh...not to mention that plants are technically speaking living organisms so even if her whole culture was vegan it would still cause death...You know what; forget this, by now I'm just rambling. >.<

It's cool, I tend to ramble alot myself Anyways, Isabelle herself wouldn't directly kill. Maybe the undead she summons would, but she herself wouldn't. Also, depending on the enemies we encounter, she might not care if they get killed. She isn't afraid to kill animals, and I assume they'd run into more violent undead through out the rp. And depending on how the undead behave she possibly wouldn't be against killing them. Like, she'd have trouble killing someone like her, but wouldn't have any qualms killing Undead that behave like a normal zombie.
In her culture the only reason they're against killing is because it would send the person's Spirit to the after life pre-maturely. So things like plants they don't care about, and most animals they don't care about either since plants and animals don't have souls to their understanding.
And the idea of a vegetarin zombie makes me laugh too I think I might wanna go with that, and the duck she ordered could've just been something she absent mindedly ordered to try and look normal
