Maybe Necromancy could just be incredibly frowned upon? Cause aside from her necromancy Isabelle really doesn't know any other kind of magic.
It is frowned upon! So much in fact that anything that should be dead and is moving gets pushed back into the ground immediately. I know you want to play with necromancy and all of its fun subjects, but to be doing that sort of stuff around strangers will only spell trouble. If anything she needs to introduce it in a positive light, like when the part is in trouble. That way she'll have helped everyone out and has a chance to explain herself rather than get her head chopped off for toying with the dead.
Don't need magic to have a mount, hun.
And people take death and ceremonies around it super seriously, all over the world. Messing with the dead seriously pisses people off, even in the modern world. Heck, in India, you can't even honk at a cow because it's believed to be the reincarnation of a person.

Well then I don't think this would be the role play to use her in if I have to wait half the roleplay for her to be able to use her magic
I agree with pretty much with what Rynh and Novalyyn said. Life and death are core values of society in general. Messing with them won't be exactly well viewed, specially in a rustic place such as the village.
I mean, what would be the cause for the glamours, anyways? (And they are a form of magic, if we think about it. ) Valder or Elodar, for example, would easily be able to put two and two together soon enough.
I dunno about waiting half the roleplay But yeah, using necromancy so early in the beginning would be asking for trouble.

Probably not halfway through, friend. Knowing Loren there's probably danger right around the corner. But not using magic yet isn't a bad thing. It's not like Annani started shooting fireballs just because she can. If anything it adds to the surprise to our characters when they find out a jovial girl like that does something so dark like raising the dead. Same thing with Valder, just because he's a former knight doesn't mean he goes flaunting it to everyone instantly. Save that stuff for later, and the impact will be greater, trust me on this one.
Not half, I'm sure. It's just not good to use at whimsy around people you've just met and have no real established relationship to. Once she started developing social bonds, perhaps she could start trying to help people understand how she views necromancy, which would open it up more. But people need to trust her before she throws out thing that would seriously freak them out.
Ok, I'll got edit my post.
Thank you, and sorry if we seem limiting or pushy. If I remember right, this is supposed to be a fairly dark and serious RP, so stuff like this matters a lot.
Edited my post. I still have her a weird mount though, in the form of a large Goat.
Yeah, we don't mean to bring you down or anything. I'm glad you didn't decide to just up and leave because I think you're a good roleplayer. This was just a thing that required some context. And if it helps anything, the image I have of Isabel riding a big goat is fantastic!
Well, there's no reason for this roleplay not to be funny, but the premise itself is serious and pretty dark, yeah
Goats are nice.
Goats are nice.
Also, on the topic of Isabelle I got a design for her that I need to upload
Awesome, that's fine. I was thinking about having Elodar on a moose or something. I've actually never put much thought to having a mount. Which I fully realize is kinda silly with these sorts of adventures...
At least Elodar will never get caught RUI. Riding Under the Influence.
I'll let myself out.
I'll let myself out.
You never know, Rynh... would it be a Thranduil-like moose? o.o Because if it was, every time Elodar got drunk that moose would kick him and mutter something about barrels.
Oh, nice. I'm curious about how she is beneath her glamours

Here it is. I may redesign her in the future though

Loren - Eh, just some random moose he asked for a ride.
Sketch - Most adorable necromancer ever.

Hey Trippin, the rhymes are great, but I doubt Baen would have interrupted his song because some crazy witch in blue (in his opinion) arrived Also, I'm not sure if folks like Annani and the like would be impressed to the point of silence.
