Warning: Image. Heavy. Possible very mild swearing? Possible PG-13 shenanigans--I have so many screenshots that I've lost track, but I screen each one as I upload 'em.
Once upon a time (on a Saturday), there was a tiny island inhabited by a single wee brunette named 'Lauren'...
This island was named Exodia, and although it started out barely populated, in a few short days, it grew populace...
These are their stories.
So I bought Tomodachi Life this weekend, and through a stroke of luck discovered that I could wirelessly send my SD card's data from my new 3DS to my laptop. So I want to share my island's crazy series of adventures with you all!
Our tale begins with the discovery that we could image share! Well really, it began by booting up the game and fiddling with it for an hour, getting work done, before I discovered how to properly take screenshots of the top & bottom screens.
EPISODE ONE: A fresh start, where love is in the air and people are not better than Batman!
The island's second resident, the paladin Draconus helped herald our sharing of the adventures through social media! Because I love you guys, however, I am sharing it through the site instead. The long way.
Next was my terribly lame and personal goal to hook up as many of my IC couples as insanely possible. Lovely-dovey mushy couple of Draconus & his brash self insert cheetahlady were the first wonderful victims of my playing cupid. This was also around the time I discovered the photo booth on Exodia.
By Day Two or Three, we discovered the vampire Johann was attempting to become a mystic. Maybe he was impressed with Lauren's inherent abilities. Whatever the case, he freaked her out. Good jeorb!
By Day Three or Four, we unlocked Quirky Questions. Some of these were towing the PG-13 line, so as I stumble over them, those will be linked directly instead of locked in image tags. You Have Been Forewarned! Shenanigans were had, however. As it turns out, QQ is a grand way to pass the time while you wait to solve problems on the island!
I'm glad my islanders know their place in the DC Universe. >8D
Not too long after this, His Imperial Majesty Jonathan Typhus III completed construction of our amusement park! Much fun has been had here!
As you solve problems (of life, love, and friends), you level up your character's Happiness bar! Each time you gain a new level, you get to give them money, a new apartment interior, a piece of music to learn, or a gift. I bequeathed unto Victoria (adoptive daughter of Johann) a rent-a-cat coupon. Much adorableness has occurred since then!
Draconus decided to drop a little (very accurate) piece of info about his childhood.
More Photobooth shenanigans, primarily made up of the Forests & Wilhelms (with Cyprus, who has no RPR profile).
TOP ROW: Murdoch, Draconus, Azarkot, Cyprus
BOTTOM ROW: Yelsa, Elizabeth, Lauren, Katrina, Laura
Then we stumbled into Guy's Chat at the Cafe (from 4 to 6 in the afternoon!)
Fancy rulers of the kingdoms chitchatted about stuffing themselves with fancy foods:
And then Draconus decided he needed a hoard of engagement rings??? Azarkot concured.
I don't know about those boy some days. SMH.
Johann called them out, however, as is just and right in his world!
Later on, Lauren had to tell me how much she adores Draconus. Like I didn't know that already.
She went on about him at length for a while...
AND THEN WE HAD OUR FIRST MARRIAGE! Introducing, Mr. & Mrs. Johann & Phaeo Malagrav!
They moved into a home together, as all couples on Exodia Island do. At least the husband understands the hardships and rewards of marriage!
During another session of Guy Chat, Johann brings back the topic of his wanting telekinetic powers:
And a few hours later, Draconus proposed to his love. It went off without a hitch (I hate the proposal minigame)
No, I'm not sure why she had to serenade him. The game could've done with more instruments as gifts, so I feel!
Typhus, when we dropped in on him, kindly reminded us that he will rule over everything.
Then in a second bombshell: the deceased King Roanoke of House Forest, father to Draconus, came back from the DEAD and wanted to remind us as well why he forged his own path in his reign.
Dio mio!
More QQ was had, during which Murdoch reminded us why he is a pirate and that he occasionally ropes his sister-in-law's sibling into the madness:
In particular, the loot of a certain sea captain (who is not my character).
Which reminds me, he is dating sister-in-law's youngest sibling:
Gushing about your BF must run in the family. She's a courtesan and he's a pirate, so I guess they suit each other well.
Another Guys Chat session reveals that Murdoch STILL has insecurities about being the bastard son of the king. Maybe his resurrection is opening old wounds... but Johann, being a total bro, reassures him of otherwise!
Later that night, the married couples revealed they sleep like slobs with bad dreams:
Then we had marriage 3! Why are the Forests and the Wilhelm's hooking up? They were never meant to be arranged!
Meanwhile Johann wants us to know in lieu of an axe, a bat makes a good weapon.
...and then I introduced the Chronomancer Edward & the Heartseeker Ivian into our island, because I am shameless, have 100 slots to fill, and decided Lauren needed her wizardly & knightly friends back in her life.
Can't tell you why dogs are barking at you, sir! (And Edward & Ivian on the far right during our QQ session--Edward on the top row, Ivian on the bottom)
And then something cute happened: first baby born on the island! Say hello to Ailana Forest! I have no idea why she has blonde brows or if those will change to brown or reddish-brown when she is grown. If they don't, I think I can edit her (and other future children) later. Or I can use some hair spray to fake a color.
And on that happy note is where we shall end for the time being! Look forward to Episode Two, alongside a long and boring list of all the Islanders who have joined us so far on Exodia Island, here in Tomodachi Life!
