I think having some in year one and others as older students would add a good dynamic, have the real feel of life at the school; though I'm perfectly fine if it's all year one - more opportunities for character growth. I also agree with having it take place after the events of the books; though I'd love Marauders' era as well, there would be more to explore with it being post-book.

Err.. are you asking my preference? I feel if we do a lot of people a group or forum setting would be nice. Up to you guys. I'm still fairly new to RPR so I'm not sure all of the best ways to do things.
