A giant shadow fell over a small tavern, and the ground shook slightly, as a giant grey-furred male foxtaur drew near, talking as if to himself, as he stopped and laid down, and set a paw to the ground. A smaller red-furred female foxtaur hopped off the paw and turned around to face the giant.
"You sure about here, Ty?" The red female looked around, and drew a hood over her head, covering her face, the cape part draped across her backs.
"Yeah, Tren told us this is the place to go for adventure. He said lots of travelers pass through. Maybe someone will know about your target or where we can have some adventure." The giant smiled.
"You, uh, might want to shrink. You're garnering attention, the cloaked female said, motioning with her eyes behind her as people stared out the windows at him.
"Okay, okay, sis. Anything for you, you know." He tailwagged and shrank to ten feet tall, and opened the tavern door for her, and the female entered, with Ty ducking and doing a crawling-walk inside, as they took a table, ignoring the stares of the other patrons.
"So, Em, when did your contact say he'd meet us?" Ty mumbled, barely above a whisper as he looked at a menu.
"They're here already." Em mumbled back.

Ty and his sister weren't the only ones in the bar drawing some attention. A few tables away was a pair of girls. One seemed relatively normal, if incredibly stressed out, the other seemed to be a walking corpse, having blue skin, half of her face rotted away revealing the skull under neath, bits of flesh missing on her long tail exposing bone, and a completely skeletal arm."Soooooooo, what're you gonna get?"The corpse asked. "I dunno.... Do you seriously have to look and smell like a zombie right now? It's kinda making me lose my appetite."The normal girl asked. "Oh, sorry dear. Uh... sorry but I don't really know any glamour spells."The corpse said with an apologetic smile. "Well, could you atleast get rid of the talk'n toothpick over here. I don't like him."A cat sitting at the table said, glaring at the corpses staff. "Oh please, if anyone should be removed it should be you, mongrel. Pets aren't allowed in these taverns after all."The staff responded. "A'right, you wanna fight?!"The cat asked standing up in his seat, not being much taller than the four foot long staff. "Oh I'd love to, but unfortunately someone hasn't allowed me to feed to recover my body."The staff said, shooting a glare at the corpse. "I don't think Begad and Mortis like each other...."The corpse whispered to the girl.
Soon the corpse's attention was caught by the Foxtaurs. "OOOOH!"She yelped, quickly hopping up and darting over to them. "What are you?"She asked Ty in an amazed tone.

Ty set his drink down, and looked down at the new person. "I, my lady, am a foxtaur. Like a centaur, but instead of half-human, half-horse, I'm all fox. My name is Tiberius Vulpintaur, but everyone calls me Ty for short. This is my younger sister, Emily. We came from down south to meet with someone that was offering a job to Emily. Nothing my little sister can't handle, of course." Ty grinned at Emily, who merely sighed and shook her head.
"Quit trying to impress the lovely lady, dear brother. We have to figure out who our unknown host is." Em looked around, studying each person carefully as she tries to determine her 'boss' for the mission.

"Someone hired you for a quest?"The corpse asked. "What is the quest, maybe me and my friend can help!" she said. "OH! And I'm Isabelle, she's Kara, He's Begad, and He's Mortis."Isabelle said, pointing to the girl she was with, the cat, and her staff.
A few moments after the Foxtaur entered the room the door would once again open, the silhouette of a cloaked male stood in the doorway. The male stepped inside slowly, as he came into the light his lupine heritage would show with his canine ears, muzzle and black fur. Down the left side of his face red markings crossed over one another in a downward pattern, from the look of them they most likely extended down to his chest. Over his right shoulder was the hilt of a sword, the hilt longer than a standard sword yet not as long as a greatsword either. He walked in and took a table in the corner of the room, watching the occupants with a cold stare.

"Mortis, huh? His first name wouldn't happen to be Rig-OW!" Ty winced as Emily kicked him under the table and shot her brother a "shut up!" look.
"It's not a quest, per se. It's an assassination contract. Target is some prince that apparently double-crossed a baron."
The pair looked up as the front door opened, and a wolfish male stood in the doorframe, looking over everyone. Em's handpaw slowly slid to a dagger hidden under her own cloak, and watched the newcomer carefully. "No sudden moves," she mumbled to the others. "I want to see what he does first."
Seated at his table the wolfmans ears perked up after overhearing the foxtaur speak about the contract, his face breaking into a rather maniacle grin. He did not move from his table, but continued to listen in on the conversation while keeping up the facade of aloofness. He stifled a yawn as the female went for the knife, as if sending the silent message "Go ahead, try something stupid. "
Em stared at the yawning wolf, and deciding he posed no threat, removed her hand from the hidden dagger but kept an eye on him, and looked back at the group. "So, are you regulars here, or passing through like us?"
"I dunno about Kara, but I was just passing through."Isabelle said.
The wolf beckoned over to the female with the knife, a coy smile on his face. The fingers of his left hand begun to drum on the wooden table, the wolf waiting patiently for her to come to him .
"Oh, we've got a tough guy."Mortis said sarcastically, glancing over at grey. Well, as best he could without Isabelle holding him. "Do you think maybe we could help?"Isabelle asked.
Grey whistled a cheerful tune to himself, glancing over at the table and it's seated occupants and studying them from afar. After a few moments of that he looked away, apparently finding the ceiling more interesting than the group.
Emily stood up, and casually walked over to the wolf and sat down opposite him, out of range of any daggers, but still close enough to talk. "What's a pretty wolf like you doing here?" She asked to the male that was staring at the ceiling.
Ty watched the pair, ready to go macro if trouble brewed. "Let's wait and see, Em can pretty well hold her own against any male, but if he's part of a gang, yeah, we might need your help."

Once the girl had sat down his attention went from the ceiling to her. Looking her over casually he simply shrugged, a grin spreading over his face. "Oh you know, the usual things that wolves do. Now let me ask you a question. Why did you go for your knife as soon as you saw me? Am I.. Threatening you in any way? " the wolf chuckled and glanced over at the living corpse, if she looked back she may feel something familiar about him, as if they were the same underlying species.
"Standard reaction. In my profession, a careless moment or inattentiveness could result in a dagger between the ribs." She noticed him looking at the zombie. "Do you know her?"
"A respectable answer. Apologies if I came off as mocking, I was just seeing what kind of person you are. " He paused for a moment and didn't say anything, returning his gaze to the female in front of him.
Meanwhile outside of the tavern walked along a red fox in a green hoodie and camouflage jeans. On his back was a sheath that held his sword and on his right hip was the holster to his weapon and what was difficult to notice was his mark on the front of his right paw. Feeling rather weary from his travels and noticing the tavern, he decided to take a break and headed on inside to the tavern to rest. Entering the tavern, he noticed the various people inside such as a zombie like canine and a unusual four legged fox of a kind that he had never seen before. Taking a seat, he ordered a simple drink to refresh his spirits.
The canine quickly glanced over at the new arrival to the tavern, and just as quickly dismissed him as a potential threat. He then turned back to the girl in front of him and smiles with the intention of setting her at ease before he asked what would likely be an alarming question. "If, per say, those who should be dead and buried began to walk around, how would you react, 'little assassin?' "
Cilo let out a groan as he approached the tavern. Yet another non Fae establishment... it was like the last kingdom all over again. The pixie let out a sigh and accepted the fact that he sort of needed to stop by this tavern to gain supplies for his travels, and landed outside, taking a few moments to channel his energy and turn from the tiny 6 inch tall form of a pixie to his normal 5ft 9in form of a human. He stretched, getting used to the lack of wings before walking through the entrance and taking a seat at the bar, deciding to relax a bit before moving on to getting those supplies. He sensed some form of tension built up not too far away, but choose to ignore it. Afterall, he didn't really feel the need to get involved in what seemed to be quite an odd little group.
Em grinned "An assassin that reveals her tactics is a dead one." She barely seemed to move, but there was suddenly a dagger in the table in front of the wolf. "Name is Emily Vulpintaur. And you are...?"
Ty looked up at the door opening, and two more newcomers entering. He watched both, checking them out. "Lot more people here than I would expect of an out-of-the-way tavern." He shrugged and took a drink, and looked at the zombie. "So, exactly what species are you?"
