Valder Odanar (played by Pirate)

"Valder, or Val, for that matter, it's all good." He spoke as an intoxicated knight would."Aye, I'm a knight. A knightly knight, alright, I-" The Dwarf then sighed."Listen, I'll be truthful with you, because at the end of this I don't want your coin or a hug."

"You see, I lost my precious titles. The noble pricks down in Ironfang Keep played a nasty game with me. I wasn't courteous enough to those bastards' liking, so they conspired against me. They took my titles and honour off of me as if I was a bloody menace! I was given a choice: either roam the world, far, far away from Ironfang until I regained my honour, or just hang myself in the nearest brothel. They expected me to choose the latter, but I'm not giving the limp pricks the pleasure. I'm not joining this party of yours because I need coin or because I think your mug's pretty. At the end of it I need you to vouch for me on a royal document that I have been honourable and "knightly". Agree to this and you've got my axe and my word that I'll see this thing through." He explained, surprisingly open hearted to this bunch of strangers. Perhaps that was the alcohol talking, though.

"Now where's my ale? All this sappy business got my throat even dryer than before!" He suddenly spoke, slamming his fist on the table.
Isabelle got up, gathered her things from the table she was at earlier, and walked over to the table Valder and several others had gathered around. "I'm going to be coming with the sorceress. So I guess I'm in on what ever journey you guys are going on."Isabelle said. "So, where are we going to first?"Isabelle asked, holding her staff in both hands.
Yester (played by Sasheth)

Yester patiently stood behind the lady she now knew as Marchesa as she curiously watched everything unfold, but kept her mouth shut. The lady had already made a promise of ordering a round of wine if the youth helped her, so she was willing to give them a little time to sort things out. Especially if there was a chance that Marchesa felt generous enough to follow trough with the rather expensive taste in wine she'd demonstrated before. The dwarf however... she wasn't willing to give any more alcohol to at all. She'd heard his kind could hold their liquor, but heavens be dammed, she refused to believe any mortal could handle much more without thrown up all over the place, dying from poisoning or simply doing something REALLY stupid. Should she maybe try passing off a watered down version of that ale and hope he's to drunk to tell? Pretty risky, but she could also simply try ignoring him or outright lie and tell him they're out of ale.
The Sultan of Embers (played anonymously)

"Oh, but how would one person carry all the gold by herself?" The bard asked melodiously, his voice loud and clear, smiling with all of the lean smugness of a wildcat. All the gold. Baen's words were not only directed at the sorceress.

Then he turned to the dwarf, listening to the dwarf's tale. "What, you don't think my mug's pretty?" Baen asked, cracking a smile and throwing a look at the flirtatious sorceress, but his semblance became moderately serious for the first time since he had spoken with the dwarf. "A fallen knight, seeking to join us in our quest to retrieve a dangerous artifact to regain his lost honour and titles."

Oh, how the gods loved their ironies. This warrior had connections, this drunkard had a past. Baen's eyes flickered from the empty mug of ale to the battle axe at the dwarf's side, and raised a hand, trying to shake it with Valder over the table. "We shall vouch for you on this document, after this is finished. Personally, I believe a light lack of courteousness in a knight never hurt anybody. Besides, I want to learn more about those dwarven brothels you mentioned...?" The Other grinned widely, ignoring Marchesa's eye roll, and stood up.

The lady in red threw an aside glance at the flirtatious sorceress, noticing her clothes and her burnt eye. That was the thing about fire, wasn't it? Sooner or later, you'd get burned. Marchesa took a side step, standing next to Baen.

"It is a pleasure to meet you as well, but I fear you have the advantage?" Marchesa asked the sorceress, not without a trifling of amusement. The woman raised an eyebrow at Baen as she heard his words, and then looked towards the girl with the odd staff. She intrigued Marchesa: she had to be a magic user, but of what type, Marchesa was unsure. Possibly a healer, and those were always tricky: didn't the girl say something about not wanting to hurt anybody?

She could be lying, of course. Something about this one was off. This was the first time Marchesa and Baen announced their intentions for the world to see, and it was impossible that any of their rivals would have seen this recruitment coming. (But no doubt some of their spies, either inside or outside the inn, would soon inform them.) Marchesa would have to look into it later.

"Shall we move to a private room to discuss such matters?" Marchesa asked the girl a trifle jovially, gesturing elegantly to the stairs. "It seems only appropriate: I'm sure we wouldn't want to continue bothering the patrons of the inn with this matters."

Marchesa, using the opportunity of Baen standing up, glanced at the waitress, shaking her head almost imperceptively and glancing at the dwarf. Then she turned around and headed for the stairs, expecting the others to follow. While on her way, the woman noticed the blue haired elf was still there: perhaps he could be of use later on.
