Nick, username Seeder, rolled his eyes at his friend's enthusiasm, he was up for a challenge just as much as the next player, but the chances of this turning into a monster grind was high.
"Easier said than done man, this Dungeon Boss is no slouch, and even if we do manage to defeat it, there's no guarantee that we'll even get the item." He pointed out. "The Black Recluse Armor has a really low drop rate, even with our... "augmented" luck stats, for all we know this one quest could take up our whole week." He warned, but his friend seemed to shrug off the warning, the thought of glory in the Headless Hydra guild too prominent in his mind. He let out a sigh, he wished he could be this driven in the real world, but alas, he seemed perfectly content working at that damn coffee shop below their place and playing video games for the rest of his life.
They eventually found the entrance to the cave, the name of the place popped up above it in bright white letters to assure us it was our desired location. Seeder reached into his item pouch and pulled out a clear crystal, holding it up towards the cave entrance. "Light." He said, causing the item to glow like a flashlight, illuminating the dark cave. "Alright, let's get going."

The glitch finally went away as he got up and looked around, feeling a bit more of his normal self.He went around the forest, searching for any monsters.
His speed was unmatchable by anyone his level, and yet he still wanted to get faster. As he ran from the ground he could catch glimpses of crystie and Asher. He tried to stay as far away as possible. He hoped the glitch would just stay away for awhile.Maybe then he'd be able to enjoy the game at least.
Everytime a monster came across him he would slice them in half or just cut the head off.But this one time he thought he'd just go through his inventory feeling safe, thinking he was far away from crystie and Asher.

Pausing for a moment to think, mainly about that strange object, Asriant hardly noticed the girl straying off. But he noticed nonetheless and reached a hand out. "Wait up," he pleaded as he ran over, checking his own quests in the process.
However he only had one quest. What a bummer, his only quest was to go around and gather berries and flowers. How much more boring could you get? But he didn't need to do it, maybe if he tagged along with this girl he could stumble upon the required items, just maybe.
"So the spider caves? How are they? I have never been there," Asriant was quite the curious one when it came to this game and he really wanted to absorb as much information as he could, which of course meant questions were asked frequently.

Sam and Nick entered the cave, it's monsters were all spider based. If the foes weren't small spiders they were big spiders. Swinging his axe and cutting them down with ease his level began to approach eleven, "this isn't so bad," Sam said to Nick, "you said that the Hydra's were gonna send us to our deaths, this is easy..." A slue of spider corpses lined the halls of the Cave of Spiders when the two reached a part of the cave where the webs were all made of steel. "Ready to go...?" Sam asked, but it had already begun. Out of the darkness stepped a fat looking samurai who had six swords in his six hands. On his helmet was a spider emblem and under the helmet six spider eyes studied the two as they walked into the last room of this dungeon. "There he is... the Steel Spider," getting in a fighting stance Sam prepared for the fight."
“Well, for our level they’re pretty hard. Those spiders can hit you with poison which can take your health down pretty fast. I have a few antidotes on hand though if we should get hit. I’ve only ever just hit the caves to level up; I’ve heard the boss is pretty tough though. If I can get that boss drop though this quest should level me up to at least 9...” Crystie furrowed her brow in thought as she looked over her quest. Luckily the drop she needed had a high drop probability. Hopefully with an extra player she would be able to take down the boss, without dying…
“You probably don’t even have this quest huh? Here, I’ll share it with you. It’s no fun if you don’t get anything out of it,” She smiled as she pulled her menu open and clicked the “share” option below the quest.
“I’ll do my best to keep you protected through the caves. However, I don’t learn ‘resurrection’ until level 18 so we’re on our own here. “She pulled out her staff as she entered the mouth of the cave. Her expectations were far too high, for when they entered the cave they found only a few spiders that had happened to re-spawn. The other spiders lay in heaps, obviously slaughtered previously.
“Someone beat us here! I’m not much of a steal-killer, but if we’re lucky they might let us help defeat the boss!” Crystie told Asher as she before running into the heart of the cave.

Sparks flew as the blades of the Steel Spider clashed with Sam's axe, the boss's swings were definitely faster than Sam's, and the fact that he had multiple swords made him all the more difficult for the heavy hitter. However, after a long combo, there would be a small window of opportunity where the Steel Spider would pause to "recharge", that was the time for Sam to strike, if he could land a solid hit in that one tiny window, he could lead it into a combo and cause some major damage. But alas, he missed the pause and was hit with a lightning quick three hit punishment combo, depleting his HP considerably.
"Heal, Target!" Seeder cried, pointing his basic wand at his teammate, replenishing most of his HP. "Guard Up, Target!" He added, Sam glowed for a moment and an icon appeared over his HP bar, denoting that his defense had been buffed. Seeder was a support class, so his spells were mostly for... well support. He hadn't been playing for very long, so the only spells he knew were Heal, and Guard Up, but they already proved invaluable for his best friend in his battles. The Steel Spider continued its onslaught, it may have been big, but it was quick and agile like a spider, if it took any major damage it would leap into the dark ceiling of the cave and maneuver through its webs to pull off a sneak attack and then follow up with a quick combo. This was Seeder's second duty, to look out for this attack and guard against it with his Shield, if the attack was successfully blocked, the Steel Spider would stagger, allowing for retaliation from Sam.
And so this cycle continued, it felt like there were in that cave for hours, and the boss just got stronger the more HP it lost, pulling off devastating desperation attacks that Sam could just barely avoid or block. However, this was still Sam they were talking about, and soon, he finally got the Steel Spider into the red zone, one more solid hit would finish the job. It retreated into its web in one last ditch attempt to save itself from destruction, Seeder cast Guard Up on himself and stood back to back with Sam, if they could pull off this last combo, they would finally win. The seconds felt like hours as they waited for it to strike, they waited, and waited, and waited... Until finally, it came out of hiding with one last shriek right in front of Seeder. He held up his shield, hoping that his defense would hold the powerful AOE attack. The blades clashed with his shield, sending a shockwave that caused some minor damage to himself and Sam, but thankfully the attack was successfully block, and Steel Spider stumbled back, its guard down. This was it, Seeder stepped to the side and allowed Sam through, the player brought down his mighty axe on to the Steel Spider's head, it was a critical hit, a bright red gash appearing where the beast had been hit, and with that, the rest of its HP depleted...

He found most of his inventory was filled with spider eyes and spider essence.Since he didn't really need anything he threw them away into a bug pile for anyone to grab.
He started yearning for a fight so he went into the caves, going into a wing where he knew no one would enter.Although he could tell a boss fight was going on he just wanted to level up slowly. Not wanting to be in front of people worried about the glitch and that they would be very serious(too into the game).
He started to face level 10 spiders. He knew they were not even close enough to a challenge for him.Considering that he had a great boost of strength and speed.

As Sam looted the body he found that the creature was in fact holding not only a butt ton of gold, but he also had the heavy armor of the Black Recluse. Sam opened his menu and equipped it. The heavy armor was paired with black iron gauntlets and boots along with a black war hood which Sam wore down. "This is hella cool, it's a shame we have to give this armor away." He looked at his buddy as if trying to see if him getting this armor was a waste of he was going to just put this new armor right on. "Take my half of the gold, that should make us even right?" It was more then enough to make them even but Sam wasn't much for thinking ahead, he had a debt, now it was paid.
As the two others entered the final chamber Sam noticed the female player immediately. And like all female players, she was about to receive minor harassment. "My lady!" Sam jumped from the dead spiders body and over Seedar. "You are safe now!" He took her hand and kissed it, I bring only protection and good will your way..." He paused looking at Asher, then at his gamer tag. See Sam got women in real life, so why try so hard with online girls? They were unobtainable, he would never date them in real life so flirting with them was just for fun. And when that boy happened to be there he just had to take the chance to make fun of him. "This your boyfriend?" Sam asked still clutching her hand and still down on one knee. "His name is Ass Rant... Why would you travel with a character named Ass Rant!" In short Sam Thorne was a jerk sometimes.

"Hey!" Seeder exclaimed as he grabbed the back of Sam's collar and yanked him up to his feet. "Knock it off, must you harass every female player we come across, if you don't cut it out your gonna get us both banned!" He scolded his friend, it was annoying enough that he did it in real life, but his flirtations didn't exactly translate well into the game, perhaps it was because girls in FEO were more cautious of creeps, VR or not, this was still the internet. He turned his attention to the new players.
"I'm sorry for my friend, he's really pathetic in real life so he sometimes gets carried away in the game." He said with an apologetic nod. "Sorry if you guys were hoping to take out the Boss Monster, we sort of already did it, but it'll respawn tomorrow, if that's any consolation."

"Hey! Now you can't just-" Asher had his sword risen and aimed directly at Sam. He didn't think the attitude and a duel seemed ideal, even if he knew he would be demolished. After all the money lost wasn't too big of a deal, but that depended on how much you had, seeing as it was a 20% win for whoever reigned victorious. But his friend, who seemed infinitely more humble, helped to calm his nerves. Asher was really not liking his username and the harrassment caused him to use his only name-change token. He would have to pay real life money to change it after that.
There were infinite possibilities for a name so he decided with something that would have less ridicule. He wanted it to sound cool however. That was a challenge. Typing into the blank space, Asriant became AquaticAshes. It fit with his name quite well. "There. That's better," his voice chimed, a smirk on his lips. Of course it could still be mocked, he hoped not as much.
"And it was her who desired fighting the boss. I just want to get stronger." He scowled and crossed his arms. He would go by Aqua.

Crystie's heart plummeted when she saw the defeated boss on the floor the boss chamber. He was going to be her next level up! Now she would have to spend all night fighting other small monsters in hopes that they would be enough to level her up...
Crystie looked down disgusted at Sam as he took her hand and spoke down to her. She has seen a few weird thing since she has started playing, but this was probably by far the strangest. She scowled down at Sam and pulled her hand back to punch him right as his friend pulled her off of him. Good, she would rather not get into an argument.
"Just what I was hoping to find at the end of the boss chamber. A pompous jerk who has nothing better to do than degrade other characters." She shook her head despondedly before turning to the sensible one.
"Understandable. I can see how he would lack some social skills with women in real life," she shot Sam another dark look before returning to his friend.
"I figured with all the bodies at the beginning of this dungeon that my odds would be slim at the boss still being alive." She sighed heavily.
"I had to try though. I figured I would power level my friend over here, Asriant," she was sure to emphasize the correct pronunciation while looking over at Sam. She shrugged before pulling up her list of quests, frowning sadly at the spider cave quest which would now remain unfinished.
"You guys didn't happen to pick up some steel spider wool did you? It's the last item I need my quest. I'd be willing to pay you a bit of gold if you've got it?" She asked Seeder in particular, still a bit annoyed with Sam.

Bio heard the arguing and quickly ran to see,he looked at them hidden behind the cobwebs. He chuckled watching the girl fight with the man with the axe.
He smiled as their argument continued on.He watches them closely,he was so very curious about them but also did not want the glitch to go off.his blades turned off as he watched.
He liked seeing some of the conflict but also knew how much crystie wanted to go to the cave.He knew a place where she could level up easily but he had to protect them, and he knew what that could cause.
Just as he kept thinking he accidentally pushed a rock out of the cave wall and made a sound.he hoped that their attention wouldn't be turned ice to him.

As Sam rubbed his jaw from the punch he saw the boy friend changing his name to Aqua, "oh I get it," he chuckled, "Aqua, cause your last name made you cry!" Apart from being a social butterfly with good looks in real life and being amazing fighter with his Axe in game, Sam didn't have much else in the world. After his mom got brain cancer he became rather rude to everyone involved in his life. Luckily for him Nick was the only one not to push him away. No matter how rude he was to Nick or the people in the game his friend stayed by his side and did all his apologizing for him.
"Spider Wool?" Sam looked through the inventory list of the steel spiders drop he read off the items. "Black Recluse Armor, Scroll of Web Trap, a butt ton of gold, and oh!" He smiled opening his pack. The Steel Spider Wool appeared in his hand, "I'll give it to ya for a kiss? What do ya say beautiful?" He really wasn't half bad with getting girls in real life, he was AWFUL at keeping girls around, but getting them was no problem for him. That's probably why he tried so much harder in game. With Nick there it wasn't about 'getting the girl', it was more about flirting with pretty faces for fun. "One kiss," he winked at her as he ran the fingers of his free hand through his hair.
As the rock fell Sam ignored it, rocks were heavy, they fell all the time. "Hey Ass Rant, mind if your girl friend gives me a quick kiss??"
((OOC: Sorry Sam is a dick, it's just the character! I'm sorry you had to change your name Kuro!))

((Hey its cool bro. Wanted a reason to actually lol.))
A blush crept on the brunette swordsman's face. His voice unintentionally came out as an angry shout, "she isn't my girlfriend damn it!" His arms crossed over his chest and he eyed Sam with a look of both disgust and anger. He was the ass here and it was really getting on Aqua's nerves. While they might not have been dating, Aqua felt the need to protect this girl from the guy who he saw as a creep.
"How about we make a better deal you jerk? You can fight me and if I win you hand it over and call it even. If you win... You can kiss her and take my gold." It wasn't that he didn't care about his gold, he did, but he felt pretty confident. He was getting very cocky as he was only level four, almost five. It was obvious who would win. But Aqua was too much of a gentleman.
Even if it was a game, Asher's kind, generous, and gentlemanly nature was still there. He still wanted to help others and keep them happy. So if he had to lose all his money to try and help her he would.

"Whoa, whoa, just hang on for a second!" Seeder pleaded with the ticked off swordsmen, getting in between him and his friend. He quickly but his arm over Aqua and pulled him over to the side, whispering as for the others not to hear. "Listen, I know my friend can be a bit of... a jerk sometimes... well all of the time really, but trust me, getting your butt whooped and a possible death penalty isn't going to fix anything, it'll just increase his already oversized ego." He stated, he had no intention of being rude or to underestimate this player, but he knows how strong Sam was, and with the difference in their level it would be more of a slaughter then a duel. "Look, I'll fix this, just stand down and I promise we'll leave you two alone." He offered before letting go. Seeder opened up his menu and grabbed Crystie's desired item, having received a share of the item drop since he was part of Sam's party.
"This is what you wanted, Steel Spider Wool right?" He held up the item for the group to see before walking up to Crystie and offering it to her. "Here, you can it for free, think of it as an apology for my idiot friend over here."

"You two realize I'm still here right? And that there's no way I'm trading a kiss for an item. I'll wait for tomorrow," she told them bluntly, tightening the grip on her staff. This was more of what she was used to. She folded her arms while she watched the two men bicker. Once her she and new friend leveled up, they wouldn't have to deal with people thinking they were better than them. Perhaps she should just pull up her hood until she was higher.
Crystie'a attention returned as Seeder held up the item she desired. She instantly straightened and nodded.
"Thank you so much Seeder. I'd rather not fight about all of this. I'm more than used to people treating me like this" she uttered graciously as she took the item from his hands.
"Come on Asr-- err, Aqua. We'll go turn in this quest and find another dungeon to level up in." She told him as she returned her staff to her back.

He slowly noticed that something else was wanting to go inside him,he was wanting to fight. He continued to hide, not even his own armour was showing. He didn't even let his Gamer tag show to the other players.
"...I mean,if you wanna go"he continued to hide behind the spider hoping it wouldn't despise on him.
"I-i have a place you can go"he said, hiding behind a spider's corpse, unafraid of anything but conversation.his voice was weak,as he wasn't used to talking much.
(His personality is gonna grow but for now he'll act shy hehe)

"Nick you ass, I was gonna get some VR lip action!" Tossing his Spider wool to Cristie as well he sighed, "fine I guess it's charity day today, not like either of us are working on our Cloth Skill. The Game persist of Twenty skills, Sword Skill, Axe Handling, Sheild Blocking, Black Smithing, Cloth Skill, Woodworking, Cooking, Fishing, Animal Handling, Sneaking, Slieght of Hand, Casting Power, Healing Skill, Potion Crafting, Hit Taking, Archery, Speed Skill, Dark Casting, Support Skill, and Illusion Skill. Every fiveish levels you could add another proficiency to your skill tree. So far Sam only had Axe Handling, and Hit Taking, so he was a natural born tank.
"Cloth Skill, what a waste of a proficiency," he muttered under his breathe so only Nick could hear. But as he said so he finally heard the little only talking over in the corner. "What are you a Raccoon?" Raccoon characters are scavengers who scout low level dungeons and snag any left over loot from the bodies. They have high Sneak Skill and Sleight of Hand so why would this one announce himself to them? Once a Raccoon got to a high enough level they became known as Vultures, Level 25+ Scavengers who scoured higher level drop areas. "Your not very good at being a Raccoon, Raccoon..."
The Raccoon aside, Sam had utterly ignored the challenge made to him by ass rat... Or was it ass hat? He had already forgotten, "hey Aquafena, make like a water bottle and cap it, I'm trying to talk to our little scavenger over there."

"She'll be having the last laugh when she's able to craft flying carpets and invisibility cloaks." Seeder whispered back. One would think that with Sam's experience in games he would've learned by now that every skill has its uses, but all he ever really cared about was how to hit things harder and kill things faster, so Nick always had to pick up the slack with support and crafting skills.
Seeder turned his attention to Bio once he called out the them, and once Sam started talking he knew they had to lave, the last thing he wanted was piss off any more players. He flicked Sam in the back of the head to shut him up. "And that's our cue to leave, come on Blackthorne, we still have business to take care of." He then turned his attention back to Crystie and Aqua. "Again, sorry for the trouble, we'll get out of your hair now, good luck with the leveling."

Aqua turned to face his companion and blinked. He watched her intently with a slight frown. "Why did he think we were dating?" He asked, despite knowing the man wasn't far. Did they look like a couple, that caused a blush to creep up on his face, his eyes aimed down. He decided maybe it was best to change the topic. It had gotten awkward..
"Anyways, isn't the sensory update coming soon? I mean, they've been investing research into adding realistic sensory responses, including true feeling. Feelings like pain. But it also will make it feel like you're really holding a sword. Isn't that update coming later this week?" He asked Crystie, his eyes lighting up at the prospect. The pain wasn't too ideal but it would make the game a lot more serious.
