17-year old Tataya just escapes the people who want to use her powers to rule this world.She runs into the forest looking for something to hid behind.Then she stops behind a large tree to rest for a while.

It had only been a few hours since the blackened behemoth of a drake had started his usual rounds of scouting out new land. Land that was new to him, of course. Having been yelled at for flying only minutes earlier; Due to his six wings. His eyesight was already failing, though his other senses kept guard. He knew that others had been chasing him down for obvious reasons. Hoping that scouting about could take his mind off the ideas, the teenage dragon scours past some large trees, bigger than him.

Tataya saw the dragon, but she was afraid that the ones chasing her would see her so she stayed hidden.

Once he had assured himself that he was the only creature in sight after several rounds, Darkness spreads his wings to stretch them out a bit. Exploring the lands he knew once were hard, with many humans and other creatures after him. It was rare for a creature of his type to be out in the open, yet there he stood. He was, however, keeping close eye on his surrounds. After all, he knew those who chased him never stopped their questing.

Tataya heard shouting near her hiding spot."N-no it can't be them and that dragon flying right towards them."Tataya thought to herself.She ran from behind the tree and yelled at the dragon"Get out of here or they'll catch you."As the voices came closer, Tataya ran in the opposite direction where the voices were coming from.

Upon hearing something shout, he turns to look at its source. Upon seeing what it was, he uttered a harsh growl, and darted off in the same direction, wings folded tightly, sprinting as a blur of shadows.

Tataya wasn't paying attention when she ran into an open plain until she looked around."I won't make it to the next set of trees."Tataya thought to herself as she looked for a place to hide.

The dragon had followed her trail, arriving at the same land. He spread his first set of wings just enough to cloak the area around him into darkness.

Tataya's heart raced as she got ready to fight the people off, lightning crackling off her body.

He slowly turns around, tail grazing past her, inches away from her feet. Dark looks out to see who was chasing her, wings still spread, chains on legs dragging.

Tataya flinched as she heard the sound,but kept watching the tree line."I don't want to fight. I don't want to hurt people."Tataya thought.She listened harder and didn't hear voices."Did I loose them?"Tataya sighed in relief, her powers slowly growing calmer.

Assured that it seemed like nothing was coming, he folds his large wings carefully. ''Must've scared them away..''

"I know your there."Tataya said to the dragon."Why did you follow me?"

Upon hearing her speak, the drake turns and faces her. He wasn't bigger than her, as his wings just made him seem like that. ''You shouted at me and I follows you.'' He hissed, snorting out steam.

"I meant for you to get away before they caught you."Tataya said, shaking from the close call.

''Capturing me proves difficult by many standards despite the techonolgies they have amassed.''

"Even so, they have made an item to capture me and I'm only half-dragon."Tataya said, staring at the dragon.

He laughed coldly. ''I'm a mix of many things, anything they use on me misses. The only thing that can truly hold me is chains I wear. If anyone grabs them, I can't escape.''

Tataya looked at the chains around the dragon's feet."Well I'm am grateful you came because I believe you scared them off. May I travel with so that I may repay you."Tataya said as she bowed her head to the dragon in respect.
