"I can fold them closer to my body, and you could go buy me a jacket to put over them. But if we're going to need to use them, then it'll be a struggle to actually get them out. I suppose if I unfold them, the jacket should well fall off but...oh, I digress. Anyway, yeah."
"Ok, not exactly ideal, but it'll have to do." Alkilai lamented. He reached into his rucksack and pulled out an old cloak, complete with a hood, and handed it to her. "Here, use this, and try and keep your use of any angelic power to a minimum, you're already a beakon for any hostiles as it is."

"What if we really need it?" Kira throws on the cloak and frowns. "It's not exactly my style, I would prefer something way more stylish, but I guess it'll have to do."
"Well, of course if it's absolutely necessary you can use it, but other than that keep the celestial crap to yourself." Alkilai replied, rolling his eyes at her complaint. "Come on, let's get going, we've got a long walk ahead of us." He said as he lead Kira out of the sawmill. There was another town not too far from there, about a day's walk, they should be able to make it by next nightfall. It was still early, so nobody in town was up yet, however, they weren't alone, as they left the town, a few yards away, a shadowy figure watched them leave, the only thing visible being its glowing red eyes. It watched until they were out of its sight and it faded back into the shadows.

I look around, trying to get a feel for where I was. "I guess if we're travelling together, we'd better get along better than we are right now. So, is there anything you want to know about me?" I spot a glimpse of a far off figure watching us, but decide it's best not to say anything. Probably just a wild animal.
'Not surprising, she sure likes to hear herself talk, especially about herself.' Alkilai thought to himself, however, there was one thing that he had been wondering about for a while now. "Well...there is one thing." He began. "I've met a few Angels before, three Seraphs and even and Archangel, and they all knew who I was, or rather, what I was. But, you didn't seem recognize me, or at least didn't act like it, are there just some Angels who don't know about me, or is it because you lost some of your memory of your time in Heaven?"

"We've heard of your kind -Nephilim, right?- but we've never heard of you specifically. I mean, there's some stories about you, but I thought they were just fairy tales, and anyway, I don't remember them anymore. It could be because I lost my memory from falling, but I and some other Angels don't know what you looked like. I do know, but that's useless because I can't tell anyone know. Not that, uh, that I regret it or anything!"
"Hmm, so there're some Angels that are completely in the dark about me huh?" Alkilai said, somewhat surprised by the fact. "Guess that makes sense, the Archangels wouldn't want word getting out that one of their own did the dirty with a human and spawned an abomination, hell, I'm surprised that didn't get my mother cast out... especially since she did it on purpose." The last part was much more solemn than he had intended, it was a sore subject for him, but he quickly composed himself. "I guess even Angels worry about scandals. Anyway, I'm Alkilai, currently the only Nephilim on the planet, nice to meet you." He formally introduced himself.

"So, you know everything that happens in my home, uh, former home?" I say. "So you must know about me, right? What happened? Who knew what happened? What happened right before I fell? Because I really want to know, ya know, since I lost my memory and everything." I sigh and look at my feet while we walk.
"...Sorry, I'm not exactly included in Heaven's information network, I just know what the Angels tell me, and what I can piece together myself." Alkilai admitted. "Honestly, I've never heard of you either, but that in itself can tell me something about you. Despite being revered by the Clergy, few Angels are actually named in the scriptures, just all twelve Archangels, and a few Seraphs that had a significant impact on the human race. That being said, I know the scriptures forwards and backwards, and I've never come across the name Kirikisa before, so either you weren't very high on the food chain up in Heaven, or just never really took part in the events here on Earth. However, the way you fought off those Cherub Knights with relative ease means you're probably not a Cherub yourself, most likely, you were a Seraph before you fell, but beyond that, and what you told me, I have no idea what happened to you... sorry." He apologized, he may not have liked Kira, but he wasn't heartless, he knew how frustrating it is to not know who you really are, to have doubts about your identity, where you fit in the grand scheme of things, so he could sympathize.

"UGH!" I shout at the sky. "I knew I should've taken part in that dumb battle! I should've...I should've...a-and," I ball my fists and shout at the sky again. A single shining tear slips down my cheek. "Nothing I can do about it now, I guess, right?" I look at you expectantly, as if in reply.
"Yeah... that's another thing I want to know." Alkilai said. "You claim to have lost your memories, but you keep mentioning stuff that would suggest otherwise, like, you remember the reason you fell, and you remember some battle that probably happened more than a millennia ago. So what gives, what exactly don't you remember?" he inquired.

I smirk. "How would I know what I don't know? If I forgot it then I wouldn't remember that I forgot it, would I? Maybe I didn't lose my memory at all, maybe my I just didn't save memories, maybe I didn't have a Life there, maybe that wasn't a thing. Maybe this is all my memories. How would I even know?"
"If that really was all you ever had, than you probably wouldn't be as distraught about it as you're pretending you're not." Alkilai replied, a hint of sarcasm in his voice. "I mean for one thing, you have a... considerably high opinion of yourself, and yet you don't remember how high you were on the Sephirot Tree, I doubt that's something you just never bothered to memorize." He suggested. "Obviously there have to be blanks in your memory, though I guess you're right about one thing, nothing really you can do about it now." He was about to let the conversation drop right there, but something else occurred to him.

"So, another question, do you really have no idea why the Archangels want you dead, I mean I know you're fallen and everything, and I know your actual crime was disobeying the Lord Elohim, but I don't think it was so severe that they'd want to kill you for it."

"I don't know...I bet they know how absolutely FABULOUS I am! And...and they're jealous, and they want to kill me for it because they'll never be as good as me! Oh, and they want to study my brain so they can see how amazing I was!"
'Obviously you didn't forget your vanity.' Alkilai thought to himself with an exasperated look on his face. To think she actually thought that Archangels would envy her, they were literally second only to Lord Elohim, and they sure acted like it, Kira must've been incredibly full of herself to think they would be jealous of her... perhaps that's why they want her dead.

"No, that Cherub made it sound more serious than just petty jealously, but I guess there's no way of knowing what until we meet some more Angels, and I'm not exactly looking forward to that."
Kira (played by Sage_Shadows) Topic Starter

"But jealousy...it could have something to do with it, right?" I had never had anyone talk to me like I was even or, gasp, less than them, at least not that I remembered.
"Whatever helps you sleep at night Kira." Alkilai replied in a sarcastic tone. He let the conversation die there, there wasn't much else he wished to know about the Fallen Angel, and even if he did ask, he felt he would get a proper answer underneath the obvious narcissism and condescending attitude. The rest of their trek was spent in silence, minus a few complaints from Kira, that were completely ignored. By nightfall, just as Alkilai said, they reached the next town, it was smaller than the last, more secluded as well, as it was surrounded by mountain ranges. As night was upon them, most of the residence had retreated to their homes, only a few out and about to finish some last minute business or going out for a night of debauchery. All in all it was just another town to Alkilai, he had been traveling for so long that they were all the same to him, the only difference were in what form of evil he was liberating it from that particular visit.

"Come on, let's check into an Inn, I know Angels don't sleep, but us mortals need rest, so deal with it." He said to his companion as he lead them to an old Inn that, as usual, had a tavern on the first floor.

"What is this place? It doesn't have bright lights, or famous Mundanes, or red carpeting. And what's an, oh what did you call it, and 'Inn'?" I look around, confused. "Isn't Earth supposed to be bright?"
"A very small percentage of it is, but for the most part it's made of places like this, you Angels call us "Mundane" for a reason." Alkilai replied before entering the Inn. It wasn't too late, so the tavern was still filled with patrons, most of them drunk men relaxing after a hard day of work. Alkilai slipped by relatively unnoticed, but Kira garnered much attention, even with her wings covered up. As much as he hated to admit it, Kira was rather attractive, and despite the old cloak her clothes seemed much more high end, giving her the look of an upperclass beauty, gaining the admiration much of the men sober enough to coherently show it. Alkilai ignored the wolf whistles and guided Kira to the bar.

"I'd like two rooms for the night please." He requested, laying down what he correctly guessed was the price for the rooms.

"You got it, here you go." The bartender slash manager said as he handed Alkilai two keys. "Can I get you anything to drink."

"Just Sweet Water." Alkilai replied, gaining a strange look from the bartender, but just shrugged it off and obliged.

"Alright, and what about your lovely lady friend here." The bartender said, turning his attention to Kira.
