I smirked. "Just a chocolate milk, please. I'd love to finally try one of those." Then I caught myself. "My mom, she was, uh, a health nut. Crazy about it, never let me drink anything but 1% and water." I was about to carry on, but didn't want to risk people mistaking me for crazy and not what I truly believed I was: beautiful.

"Ok, one chocolate milk and one... sweet water coming right up." the bartender said, reaching to the shelves behind him and pouting the drinks. He was most likely surprised by their choices, he probably assumed they'd order something alcoholic like the rest of the patrons their age, but Alkilai didn't drink, and Kira... what she said was 100% true for the most part. "There you go, enjoy." He said, handing the two their drinks. "So tell me, why are you two getting separate rooms, having a bit of a lover's quarrel are we?" He asked with a slight playfulness in his voice.

"She's my aunt wise guy." Alkilai replied. He wasn't lying, all angels were siblings, and since his mother was an Archangel, and thus Kira's sister, she technically was his aunt, not that anyone would ever see it like that.

"Aunt... well grandfather must get around to have daughter this young." The bartender commented.

"Trust me, she's older than she looks." Alkilai rebuked, glancing over at Kira, who sipped away at her milk.

Upon hearing this, I glare at you. "He likes to make that joke a lot, since I get all the guys and he doesn't get anyone." I pause to take another drink of milk, "We're brother and sister." I smile at the bartender's surprised look and blow him a sneaky kiss before getting our room keys and heading upstairs.

"...Listen kid, you better be careful, a girl like that isn't gonna go... unnoticed around here." The bartender warned, much to Alkilai's ire.

"Trust me, she's not the one I'm worried about." He replied before following Kira up the stairs. He met her in the hallway as she was trying to find which rooms they were to stay in. "The room number is on the key." He informed.

I smile. "I knew that." I open my room and step instead. "Night, Nephilim Alkilai." I call before shutting and locking the door, hoping I wouldn't be bothered by anyone.

"Finally..." Alkilai said to himself, glad to finally be away from the stuck up fallen angel. He entered his room and began to settle himself in, placing his rucksack into the closet and beginning to remove his gauntlets. Having to deal with Kira was tiring, fallen or not, she was still an angel, and her condescending nature didn't help either. However, he did find it somewhat... "redeeming" that she was so enchanted by human culture, she seemed genuinely fascinated with things such as chocolate milk and five star hotels, even when her presumptions were proved false she seemed to be having fun just learning about it, certainly different from any Angel he's met so far.

He laid in his bed, staring at the ceiling as he contemplating his current situation. How long would he have to travel with Kira, if the Archangel's beef with her was as severe as the Cherub made it sound, then there was a strong possibility that if all else fails, they would come to do the deed themselves, and as much as he would love to go toe to toe with the head honchos of Heaven, he knew if even half of them, hell a third came down it would not be a fun day for the Earth. "Just what the hell could she have done?" He mused out loud.

Meanwhile, at the very outskirts of the town, the same shadowy figure was staring in the direction of the Inn, having followed them all the way from the previous town. With their location determined, it looked to the ground and mumbled something inaudible and moments later a large portal appeared from the ground, letting out what seemed to be... demons.

I smile, hearing the noises of Mundanes fighting downstairs. I see a bright light shining in my window. "It can't be daytime yet." I say out loud as I get up and close the windows. Then I sit back down on the bed. A bit later, though, I see a bright light again, this time purple. "Ugh!" I walk out of my room and knock on Alkilai's door. "Alkilai? I need to come in. It's urgent!"

Alkilai was just about to fall asleep when Kira started banging on his door. He groggily got out of bed and answered the door. "Look, I know it's probably boring to just sit in a room quietly all by yourself, but like I said, suck it up." He said, obvious irritation in his voice, however, before Kira could respond, the shadowy figure that had summoned the demons seemed to rise up from the floor and raised its clawed hand to attack her. "Look out!" Alkilai exclaimed, pushing Kira out of the way and executed a spinning back kick that connected with the creature's face, sending it crashing to the wall. "A Wraith, what the hell's a Wraith doing here?" He inquired. Now fully awake, he suddenly felt a large surge of Demonic Energy flowing all throughout the town. "What the..." He couldn't finish his statement before the Wraith recovered and went back on the offensive.

"I told you it was important!" She smiles wide as she pulls out her sword. "Can we kill something now? She says, sneaking by Alkilai. She's still smiling, she feels proud and happy despite the fact that she and Alkilai could die at any moment.

The Wraith lunged forward, about to stab Alkilai in the gut, he nearly attempted to block it, but then he realized that he was not wearing his Gauntlets, and so he stead he just evaded the strike, rolling back into his room and dashed towards his weapons. He quickly strapped them on and imbued them with Holy Light in preparation for battle. "Seems to me like we won't have much choice in the matter." He responded.

Kira watched everyone's movements for a moment, then marked out her plan to hit this thing. She lunged and as it dodged her, she rolled underneath towards her door and extended her arm. She hit it, but the wound quickly healed. "Dangit!" She whispered, then stood up.

Alkilai threw a punch at the Wraith, who just blocked it with its claws and countered with a slash from its other hand. Alkilai managed to evade it and briefly traded blows with the creature. "Hey, you know how I said don't use your angelic powers unless it was absolutely necessary." He said as he narrowly ducked under a swipe of the Wraith's claw and caught it as it came back around. "Well, it's necessary!" He said before charging his fist with Holy Light and punching the Wrath twice, once in the stomach and once in the face. Wraiths were partially ethereal beings so purely physical attacks weren't very useful against them, Alkilai's strikes were able to cause damage due to them being imbued with angelic power, so if Kira wanted to harm it she would need to do the same.

"Alright!" She shouted her sword's name and something in Angelic Language afterwards. Her sword blazed up with a fire-like light. "Much better!" She spread her wings, causing the cloak to fall off. While the Wraith was occupied with Alkilai, she did the same move she had done before, slashing it's left leg. This time, the damage stayed. It wasn't enough to hurt the Wraith, but it was a start.

The Wraith screeched in pain at having its limb cut of, it flopped on the floor for a moment before evaporating into a black smoke. The Wraith turned its attention back to Kira and began to attack, but before it could cross blades Alkilai grabbed its neck with his grapple gauntlet and slammed it repeatedly into the walls of the hallway, disorienting it. He then pulled it back to him and landed a powerful kick on its torso that sent it flying towards Kira. "Finish it!" He stated.

As it was flying, Kira extended her sword and chopped through it's neck. "Got it, I think!" She called, rolling back over to Alkilai. "That was fun!"

The head of the Wraith rolled on the floor and after letting out one last gurgle it evaporated into a black smoke, along with the rest of its body.

"Well it looks like we'll be having a hell of a lot of fun tonight." Alkilai replied. He could sense it, a squadron of demons closing in on the Inn, he placed the number at about twenty or so, but thankfully they weren't very powerful for the most part, but their sheer numbers made exterminating them a daunting task. "You can feel it can't you, the small army of demons converging to the Inn?"

"I...I know somehow that something bad's close. But, is it my paranoia or is it sensing?" Kira looked up at the ceiling. "NO time to tell, they're almost here."

"No kidding." Alkilai said. He looked to the window in the hallway, it was dark, but he could still see the shape of unearthly creatures rampaging through the streets, killing anyone unfortunate enough to get in their way. They didn't seem to active seek out human to kill, and considering they were all headed for the Inn, he had a pretty good idea what they were after.

"Come on, we have to get out there before..." He was cut off by two gargoyle like demons crashing through the window, one pinned Alkilai to the ground while the other went for Kira, however, it didn't get far as Alkilai grabbed it with his gauntlet and pulled him back, knocking the other gargoyle off of him and slamming them against the wall. "Come on, we can't fight here, we have to lead them away from the Inn, follow me." He instructed Kira before he rushed down the hallway and leaped out of the other window, landing on the ground below safely. He looked around and saw the rest of the demons closing in and so he quickly made a mad dash for... anywhere he could find where he could fight these creatures.

Kira follows Alkilai. "I swear if you get us killed because of your silly idea, I will find a way to make your afterlife miserable!" Then, to herself, she mutters "At least he's got a plan. More than I can claim at the moment." She sighs. "Let's go kick some demon butt."

Alkilai thought quickly, the best place to fight a hoard of demons was on hallowed ground, like a church or monastery or...

"There, head for that graveyard!" He exclaimed. He and Kira entered the graveyard through the front gates, the hoard of demons not to far behind. Once the unholy creatures passed through the gates the symbols and crosses that adorned the gate and the graves that they passed began to glow blue, making the demons noticeably uncomfortable and sluggish.

"There we go, they should be easier to handle now." He assured to the fallen angel as they were being surrounded by the hoard of demons, despite their weakened state they were still dangerous if not taken seriously, the fight will still take a little effort on their part.
