Metal.
I've been tryin to find fans of it on this site for a while, and it's been a huge challenge. I dunno. Maybe I'm not popular.
But, if you're interested in the heavier side of music, comment! Let's get a conversation going!
Anyhow, right now my favorite artists are Pantera, Carcass, Arch Enemy and Buckethead. Tell me yours below!

I'm surprised you've had so much trouble finding metal lovers!

I'm particular towards the Dutch metal bands (mainly power metal like Epica, Ayreon and Elegy) but that's because I've been exposed to them the most, I think. Then there's Nightwish, Benedictum, Kamelot, Avantasia, Dragonforce, Tarot, Moonspell, Seven Witches and Lordi.

Some more unusual ones are Van Canto (a capella metal) and Skindred (kind of like a reggae metal), but they're freaking amazing too!

I'm probably missing a WHOLE lot in here but there's a lot of stuff I like. I seem partial towards Power Metal but I'll listen to almost all sub genres!
Plenty of metal lovers around here if you take a good look!

I'm literally listening to so much different stuff right now it's almost ridiculous, from rock to hardrock to thrash metal to metalcore, pretty much everything (though I never really understood black/death metal, but that might be me. ;)

bands are
Adrenaline mob
Apocalyptica
Avenged Sevenfold
A day to Remember
Asking Alexandria
Bring me the Horizon
Epica
Delain
Katatonia
Godsmack
Korpiklaani
Limp Bizkit
Machine Head
Sabaton
Slipknot
Volbeat
and MANY many more ;) lots of different stuff as you can see, but a lot more to add ^^

Speaking of power metal, I love Sonata Arctica's earlier stuff, ESPECIALLY Wildfire. This might be bias coming from a long time Queen fan though. >.> I've heard a bit of Skindred, actually. "Trouble" is probably my favorite song.
And yeah, I guess being a huge extreme metal fan, I can't find a lot od people that go past Thrash, much less Melodeath.

Speaking of A7X, their first album surprised me. A LOT. I tried Sabaton but... Yeah. e-e Not my style. BMTH's earlier stuff was awesome, mos def. AA's first two albums were basically my introduction into the core community, along with Killswitch Engage.

TheRoss is also a fan. In fact I stole his Pandora station. ;) I have it going in the background when I knit a lot. (If I'd ever be in a metal band, I'd call it Metal Knitting and all our tracks would be knitting phrases.)

Wow. Long list.
Killswitch got me into metal, basically.
Also, Eddie Hermida is awesome. His range is ridiculous, he brings a harsher sound to SS, and I can actually understand him.
