The more I look at it, Robo from CT just doesn't quite fit the bill. It was a thought, but not enough of one.
Rush is my main guess, a close second would be Beat. Since they were combat and support at the same time from the very start.

Beat is a robotic bird that has appeared in many Mega Man games. He was created by Dr. Cossack to provide additional support to Mega Man during the events of Mega Man 5. Several of the games require the player to obtain a certain number of Beat Plates in order to use Beat. Beat homes in on enemies, providing damage by physical contact. He would perform the same function in Mega Man 6, however he would not attack bosses as he did in the previous game. In Mega Man 7 and Mega Man 9, he rescues Mega Man from pits and in Mega Man 8, assists Mega Man during the Rush Jet scenes. He also provides Mega Man with an energy barrier in Mega Man & Bass. He assisted Duo and Proto Man as temporary invincibility powerups in Power Battle.
We're going to have to get him involved every year! Especially after the wonderful work he did for the Doubutt game.
Indeed!
Agreed! There was so much to this he added to.
Thank you for that extra bit of information. Beat doesn't seem to really fit the second clue alone, but anything is worth a shot!
Alright, your Witch has reemerged from her chrysalis
What did I miss?
What did I miss?
We got the second clue for the Star Seal!
How wonderful!
Okay folks, it's just 2:15am for me, going to do a bit more hat-hunting and wind down for the night. I'll be back later this morning to see where we left off.
You know, that's not a bad idea... Thank you for your help!
Grear
*great
I'm treating it like Gaia Online all over again. Skimming pages like a spastic and amassing hats. I've got a healthy stockpile at the moment, but I want more.
I remember that site.
They still running?
Oh heavens yes.
I remember they had this sorta cool thing called ZOMG
Where you used rings to summon magical attacks to fight.
That still going on?
I think so! I remember thinking it was a very interesting use of their normally static graphics.
I loved that game!
