OKAY So the other day, I saw a picture someone posted online about baking a chocolate chip cookie in a skillet. I thought that was the most awesome thing ever, and I've certainly made CC cookies before, so I tried it myself!
The end result was a slightly underdone (could've gone 25 minutes, not 20) but delicious giant cookie of gloriousness that I have already partially devoured:
The scene of the crime: a tiny space in our kitchen specifically set up for bake prep (since it's beside the oven). I followed the Nestle Tollhouse recipe on the back of the CC bag. Always have, always will.
DELICIOUS, GLORIOUS COOKIE DOUGH! I could honestly devour this entire bowl if someone wasn't keeping an eye on things. Unfortunately cookies were expected, so I couldn't do that despite being almost home alone at the time. The spatula, remnants in the bowl, and mixer paddle were all delicious, however.
Slapped that dough into a greased (with crisco) iron skillet (10") and slapped it in the oven for 20 minutes. Could've gone 25, but it still looked awesome when it came out of the oven!
TADA! My end result! As you can see, one side got a bit more cooked than the other. Note to self, turn the skillet half-way through the cooking time in the future. We (being me and my folks) have already consumed 2/3rds of it, and it got a big thumbs up. It's a do-over! You just cut it like you would a pie or a cookie cake and viola! Skillet cookie!

Whoa, this is a cool project!!
OMG I AM SO TRYING THIS WHEN I AM HOME!!
I have a strong desire for cookies now
...now I'm going to have to order one of the giant cookies from Papa Johns later...
Yeees, let the cookie power flow through you...
But seriously, what's the fun in ordering a giant cookie? Put the blood, sweat, and tears into your own freshly baked goodness! Though tbh, I adore professional cookie cakes. They have a firm but not crunchy consistency I love dearly.

There is no fun in ordering a giant cookie, but i'm not going to make a special grocery trip just to get some chocolate chips so I can make one in my cast iron. Maybe when I go grocery shopping later this week.
Not to mention, it's Sunday, pizza night!

It'll only make it more appetizing!
I want to do this badly, but I don't have a skillet right now!
