"That..... that can't be good...."Ronnie said. "I passed through that area once. The area around the GNR building is crawling with Super Mutants.... Only reason I was able to get out of there was because the Brotherhood of Steel found me before the mutants..."Ronnie said.
"What are Super Mutants?" Shiloh asked, tilting her head as she turned to Ronnie. She blinked again, her ears perking up at the static on the radio. She could hear the sound of a man through the static, as well as the words 'Three Dogs'. "What is GNR?"
Wei gave a cringe at Ronnie's tale. Super Mutants. Damn things, they ate up shot gun slugs like it was nothing, and only a handful of them were kind enough to spit them back out before they plowed people over. He was lucky he was alive.
"Galaxy News Radio," she answered simply, gesturing to the stereo that Gob began to shake as the static set on. "It broadcasts out of somewhere in DC. I heard through the grapevine, in the Old World, DC was an important city." Shaking her head, Wei's respirator gave a hissing sound, releasing air. "Now, it's just rubble. Rubble, ashes, raiders, and Muties. Maybe some ghouls, if you're lucky."
She rolled her shoulders once more, letting the words out before she could stop herself. She glanced to Ronnie, then back to Shiloh. "I don't know about you, Ronnie, but if you need any help, Shiloh...I'll help you find your dad. Free of charge. Teach you what I know."

"Super mutants are people exposed to some old world virus or radiation or something like that. Pour souls are huge green hulking savages now. Very, very hard to kill."Ronnie said. He sighed. "I'll go aswell. Wouldn't be able live with myself if I let someone fresh out of the vaults go to Super Mutant territory without help. I'll need a minute to change out of this, and get my forge ready to move."Ronnie said. "I may also need to change pants. Was worried our confrontation with Moriarity was going to get violent."Ronnie chuckled. "And to say I am most definitely not a former enclave soldier would be an understatement."He added with a chuckle as he headed to the door.
"Enclave...?" She mumbled to herself before looking down at her clothes. "I believe I might need something new to wear..." She said, before sitting down in a chair near the door, her stomach growling at her. "This is too much for one day..." She sighed, putting her throbbing head in her hands.
"Ronnie," she called. "Meet us in front of the Children of Atom. I gotta recharge."
Turning, Wei gave a comforting pat to Shiloh's shoulder. It was a lot, she knew, a lot to process. It had been a lot for her. Perhaps if she could share that information with Shiloh...
"C'mon, kiddo. Let's go take a rest. Children of Atom might have a bed for the night for you. I need something strong. And I got a story for you."

"Don't take her by the bomb. Her body isn't used to the radiation yet, and I'm afraid going near the bomb might kill her."Ronnie said before he left.
Shiloh tilted her head, watching him go before looking up at Wei. "Bomb? That is a real bomb? T-There was water around it! I drank three bottles worth of that water! Am I going to die?!" She took a deep breath, trying to stay calm. "It's okay, its okay, all you need is some rad-x and you'll be fine..." She got up and pulled her coat closer to herself.
"So, why do you wear that on your face? Is the air that bad? Are your lungs weak?" She tilted her head at her. "Do you smoke? Your voice is raspy..."

Grumbling in response, Wei rolled her eyes. That was precisely where she wanted to be, but he had a point. The ghouls had nearly had to drag her body away from a pool of radiation when she was young.
Striding toward the ramshackle church, she hesitated for Shiloh to keep up. Her answers came rolling out in succession. "Yea, the big thing is a live bomb. No, you won't die, long as you pop a Rad-Away or two. My respirator is because I've been around radiation for so long, my lungs adapted to it. I don't breathe real air too well. I was raised part way by ghouls. Like Gob, in the saloon. That's probably why my voice sounds funny to you."

Oop: Ya'll can skip me this turn, dunno what to post
She blinked as they approached the church, turning her head towards the man preaching in the water. "Things are so different here. I can't believe life is like this. I can't believe my dad lied to me that I was born in the vault... I wonder what else he has lied to me about..."
She turned to the woman near her, looking at the pipboy on her arm. "So, what's your story? Everyone has one..."

Wei could feel the girl's eyes on her. As they settled, slowing steps, she gave a curt nod to a starry-eyed and irradiated old woman who wandered out, a familiar face without a name. Surely Shiloh hadn't figured out already that only old Vault-dwellers had Pipboys, had she?
Her story.
What was her story this time around? What lies could she fabricate this time? She ducked around the corner of the building, pressing her back against the wall and sliding until she sat, disregarding the revealing manners in which her dress drooped. She bothered only briefly to try to fix it, before slipping her satchel off of her back.
She spoke idly, refusing to look up at her as she worked.
"I came from a vault like you, on the other side of DC from here, a couple miles out. Vault 100. It was just me and my mom, 'til I was nine, didn't know my dad. Some kids in the Vault were bullying me, cornered me because they found out what happened to my dad." From her satchel, she produced a small blue syringe, stabbing the needle into her thigh with little more than a flinch. She would need more Med-X soon. As she pulled it out, tossing the empty syringe into the dust, she continued, "The Overseer thought he was a spy 'cause he was Chinese, had him executed once he found out that the guy he let in under suspicion got a woman pregnant." Carelessly, she unhooked her respirator and settled it beside her, taking shallow, quietly rasping breaths in the relatively clean air.
She pulled from her satchel next a foul thing, a sun-warmed and irradiated piece of half-dried meat, looking nothing like brahmin or mole rat meat, but clearly normal for her. With a switchblade, she sliced off a chunk of it, popping it in her mouth. "Couple years later, someone opened the doors to the Vault, and a shit ton of Deathclaws came in, starting slaughtering everyone. My mom was sick, they killed her, so I got the hell out." She took another chunk of the strange meat, pursing her round lips. "I ran all night, into the next day, 'til I was found by some ghouls. They took me to a place called Underworld, in DC, and I lived with them, up until I was sixteen and became a merc."
Finally, she slid her black eyes over to Shiloh, a tired smile on her lips. "Tada. That's my story."

After a short while Ronnie arrived, entering the Church of Atom. He looked around for Shiloh and Wei, and soon found them. "Alright, I've got my forge all packed up and ready to go."Ronnie said. "I can also get you two some armor made before we get to the GNR building. Trust me, you're going to need it."He said.
Shiloh sat quietly as she listened, tilting her head to the side and tucked her limbs under her. Her story was sad, she never knew life could be so hard.
She opened her mouth to speak, to ask what makes a ghoul, but Ronnie found them. She gave him a smile, sitting up straight and nodded. "That sounds swell! But I need to learn a few things, how to fight. I've only killed one person in my life..." She told them before raising her fists. "I'm good at punching though! I wasn't a bully, but I knew how to fight back! But I think I'd be killed when it comes to bullets. .."

Looking up as Ronnie approached, Wei was almost grateful Shiloh didn't get to respond. She would no doubt hear about it later, but for now, she offered a smirk.
Finishing her meat, the buzz of the Med-X was starting to hit her, and her energy was rising. She pulled her respirator back on, pushing herself to stand.
"Cool your heels, kiddo. We'll have you sharp shooting before we're halfway to DC. No reason to get all fisticuffs before we're out the door."
Her hands knotted back in her hair, tying back the mass of tiny dark curls into a ponytail. She slung her bag over her shoulder.
"Make me something that can handle radiation without damping it, could you?" She asked, tipping her head to Ronnie.

"Alright. I'm sure I could get something. "Shall we go now?"Ronnie asked.
Shiloh nodded, getting up. "How do we get to DC?" She asked quietly, willing sweat from her for head.
Rolling her shoulders, Wei lifted her Pip-Boy to her face, tapping away at it. Green lines crisscrossed across the screen, following all the paths she'd taken through her years of mercenary work. In the middle of DC, one blip glowed bright than all the others: The Museum of History, or Underworld.
She continued to tap away, putting in a course.
"It would be best if we went south from here," she assumed, as she spoke, that at least Ronnie would understand it. "Cross the Potomac, just before the abandoned Super-Duper Mart...then the GNR is right there. And if we need a place to stay...I have family in Underworld."

Ronnie nodded. "Alright.... uh... what're the radiation levels in underworld? I know Feral Ghouls give off radiation, but I haven't spent enough time around normal Ghouls to really feel any effects, and up until now it never occurred to me to ask about that." Ronnie said.
Shiloh blinked before smiling, moving forward. "If its on the way, I'd love to meet your family! Let's go! I'm ready to meet the new world!" She placed her hands in her pockets, looking at the sky. "So blue..." She whispered, kicking a rock in her path. "But you know, I promised the sheriff that I would take care of that bomb if he told me if my dad was here. I should try to disarm it for him..."
