OBS: I am from Denmark so sorry for my very bad English grammer.
I have just read the first book in the bookseries, called "Black Dagger Brotherhood", the first book is called the king, in Danish is it "The vampire king". I was quite surprised, and personally think it is much better than fifthy shades of gray.
Are there others who have read the series, and can say which of the books I should look most forward to?
Just a little chat
my first to be honest, idk why, i think English is terrifying to throw myself into, just like that and thats why i do it. 2 am, well nothing good happens after 2am.

I haven't read the series yet, but I've been told it's really good! I couldn't get into 50 Shades--mostly because of the writing style. I didn't like it at all lol
I think one of my friends reads these though, I'll point her towards this thread

Hey there,
I listened to the series a few years back, while driving to university.
At first I was really excited about the books, especially since it combined two of my favourite book genres (erotica and fantasy), but lost interest around the 7th or 8th volume.
The storyline just flatted out and nothing really happened anymore. It was quite repetitive, in my humble opinion.
So I never finished the series.

I have every book JR Ward has published. In my opinion, they are all pretty fantastic (though some books turn into filler pieces and get a little slow). As for which books to look forward too, it really depends on your aesthetic and preference. My favorite characters are Zsadist and Vishous, but I've got a soft spot for Rhage. So their books were my favorites. I also really loved Payne's book (If you haven't gotten far, you won't know who that is lol). There is a book/novella type thing that was published between books that has a short story for Z in it that absolutely won my heart.
My advice is this: If you like Ward's sense of humor (I'm not sure how well it translates across languages, but in the English versions she's pretty funny), I think you will really enjoy the series. Make sure you read them in order, there is so much information across the books, you might have to go back and reread some of them to remember. Ward is a very good organizer and she definitely pulls the whole, "Remember that one little thing I mentioned 3 books ago? Well in this book, that little thing is gonna be a big thing. Enjoy." a lot.
