I've been musing on a thought for a long time now. What is more precious to us as individuals; safety and security or freedom and privacy?

I'd like to propose 2 separate but closely related RP ideas.

Proposal 1: You wake up alone in an empty white room. This room is approximately the size of a standard gymnasium (80' x 100' x 30') and is completely illuminated (ceiling, floor and walls) during what you could assume to be daylight hours. In this room you can customize the size and shape of the room (while still keeping the total volumn the same), ask for anything you want to be brought to you (food, clothing, entertainment, visitors) and can remain there until the room resets after a 24 period during the "night". But there is a caveat or two, you cannot leave this room (EVER) and you are constantly being observed at all times; you know that beyond this room there are millions of people watching you at all times. You now have a choice - Live there for the foreseeable future or try to escape.

Proposal 2 : You wake up alone in an empty world. Literally, you are the only person on the modern planet Earth and you will never come across another person (EVER). But in this world you can do whatever you want, whenever you want, wherever you want. But with all this fun there are still dangers; wild animals, weather, lack of constant electricity, and all the other dangers out there too numerous to mention. Luckily, should you need help with anything, you have a manual - The Manual. A special digital book that can answer any question you vocally ask it and that never seems to run out of power. Now it is up to you - Survive or die. (CLAIMED)

Potentially in the future I may link these two RPs together, how (?) I am not sure... Yet.

Really interesting concepts, I'd love to RP one of them, particularly the second one. Unfortunately i'm a bit too busy to RP right now, but I'll be free in about a week ish...

I'd probably serve as The Manual and GM for the RP. The setting would be in the modern real world and you would have no restrictions on where you could go so long as you are prepared to face whatever consequences that follow. But no worries, I can wait a week(-ish)!

Alright, my exams are done and i'm back on the RPR. How would we go about doing this RP? I have a lot of characters but only a small number suitable for this I think, probably the best would be Wren Tain, my sci-fi/modern pilot. I do have a few unused character slots I think though.

Wren could work! It would be ultimate test of her survival skills as well as the ultimate test of her mental stability.

We could do this over PM or we could make a private thread in the forums, your choice.

The version of Earth she would be on would be up in the air. She could find things from the olden times, to modern structures, to advanced (if somewhat derelict) technology.

I'm fine with doing it either way, but if it's just the two of us it'd probably be easier to keep track of over PMs
