Well hello there, people all around RPR. It's been some time that I wanted to write down an introduction and now that I finally have the time to, let's not let this chance go.
My name, or rather my pseudonym is Styx AKA "StyxTheMad", as it is obviously displayed, as my actual name is Jean. For the ones who would be wondering, this surname is simply the name of one of my character, explaining the rather strange association between "Styx" and "madness".
I've been on RP Repository since Kim anounced a character contest here, but never introduced myself before now. I suppose it can be explained by the facts that I was never really fond of forums, I'm rather shy, and I can be quite ("Quite"? Really?) lazy.
So I came here not only for the contest, but mostly because the concept of this site seemed really appealing to me. I'm the kind of person who love to come up with new characters, and having an occasion to develop some of them here seemed wonderful to me. (And I don't even know why I wrote "seemED", as it still "seemS")
My main passtimes are drawing and roleplaying, aswell as reading, and I have some other major interests like video games (though I doubt I can really be called a gamer), audio sagas (and I'm even trying to create one), writing (even though I'm way too slow and not talented enough to actually write a whole story) and such. I'm part of a small group of roleplay on MSN based on the Elder Scrolls universe and I played a few live sessions with some of my friends, but except that I can't really say I have much experience concerning roleplay. Even though I'm eager to try some other forms of RP, for now I'm much more the type to create new characters.
Well, I don't have much left to say after that, except that I can only thank Kim for this absolutely great site. It is one of the fews I visit on a regular basis, and it keeps getting better and better.

Yes, I am very curious what an audio saga is too. Is it anything at all like an audio book?
Otherwise, we seem to have a lot of the same interests. I love writing and drawing too. If only there was more time in the day.
I'd say welcome, but I know you've been around for so long I think, "Hello again!" is more appropriate. It's awesome that you get so much use out of this site.

Yes, "Hello again" seems quite appropriate.
Well an audiophonic saga is a type of new media, quite recent in France and Belgium (or, well, any french-speaking place actually) which is, indeed, a bit like an audio book... Without the book.
Roughly, it's a story narrated and distributed for free on the web as an MP3. It started with "Le Donjon de Naheulbeuk" in France, around 2000.
I don't know if it's clear enough...
I don't know if the equivalent exists in english, but I'd be most interested to know as the subject of my thesis (I'm studying the Arts of Information and Communication) is based on the audio sagas.
And YES! There aren't enough hours in a day!

*waves at Styx*
On the topic of audio sagas, it's like those old radio plays, like Earthsearch. I guess it was quite common when television wasn't a big thing yet. My mom used to listen to various audio adventures for children, back in the fifties. And it seems to become more common again these days. I'm still trying to get my hands on the audio adventures of Blake's 7 they did in 2006.

Hello, I know you. This is Sneeuw. Good that you're finally coming out in the open. I'd like to see the forum become more active!
Oooh, hey, hello Sneeuw! *waves*
Well I'm not very fond of forums so I doubt I'll manage to make it a bit more active, but I'll do my best.
