Because the power of Google is not good enough to give me a legitimate answer to a problem.
Youtube has randomly turned its text itty bitty.
Like so
I have no other screen shots to presently compare it to, but that font is too small. It was not that small 10 minutes ago when I closed my youtube tab. Usually a clear of my cache and a reboot of Firefox fixes this, but not this time. I have permanently tiny font, no idea why, and no clue how to make it big.
And no. I will not change my zoom via Control and 0/-/+ to make it bigger nor will I check to ensure I didn't change the zoom. That is the only solution the internet wants to provide, and it appears to be false in my case. 8I No amount of Control and 0 fixes the problem, because my zoom wasn't the problem in the first place. Does anyone know what's going on here and what a real fix would be? I'm miffed--I have a hard enough time seeing small font as things stand without websites randomly changing on me like this.

What browser do you use, and does the same thing happen in an alternate browser?
It's YouTube. I have the same thing in all my browsers, so there's nothing you can do except for using zoom on YouTube in some way or finding a browser extension that changes the CSS of a site.
For Claine: Firefox (fully updated), and the same thing happens in Chrome, which I dl'd last night to test it on.
For Sanne: I was afraid that was the case! I can learn to live with it, but at least you've given me some reassurance that it wasn't a freak accident on my part just from closing a tab!

YouTube has always been painfully tiny for me too. The really funny part is that they are breaking Google's own readability guidelines they force the rest of us to comply with for better search rankings.
Is it wrong that I don't find that font painfully tiny? *gets bashed with the spiky end of a pineapple*
Nah! I just have had poor eyes since I was 7 (and yes, I do have a very updated prescription and wear my glasses pretty much any time I'm not bathing/sleeping). Plus I'm 24 and stare at a computer for long periods of time, so the tiny font doesn't help that much.
