Hi
I'm all new in here and I'm still trying to figure out how things work. It's very different from where I roleplayed earlier.
I've noticed that when you start a RP forum you just start roleplaying right avay - no introduction first. Where and how do you plan how the roleplay is gonna be?

Most people do this on the Looking for RP forum, or via PMs if they already know who will be in it.

Oh okay...
I have also looked a little on the "Find RP" section. When they have found their players do they then move on to PM or forum where they continue planning?
It's all over the map. Some people move to the public IC forums. Some will choose to play via PM. Some move into forums belonging to private groups. Some play it out via off-site messengers or other games entirely! We're here to facilitate people finding RP partners for however they most like to play. You're not obligated to use the public forums.

So it's pretty much free play? There are no "this-is-how-you-are-supposed-to-do-it"-ways? xD
Because there are hundreds of valid RP styles, from "free form" to "dice-based", "lightning rounds" to "long form", we basically provide the tools but not the rules when it comes to RP!
Unlike other forums that exist for one particular type of RP, we're more like a social network designed to connect all different kinds of RPers.
I do encourage people to discuss with their new RP partners what format they prefer to play in, and what rule set they want to use, and where/how they want to carry it out. It's good to have those things in a first post of a thread, or somewhere in your private group, so everyone knows what to stick to -- it's possible that all the players came from different styles/forums and think different things are normal, so getting on the same page is a good thing.
