Just outside of the capital city, in the countryside, a massive ball is being held in a mansion, built into a mountainside, that seemed to appear as if overnight. No one knows who the host is or what he looks like, but everyone who was invited is showing up -- and everyone in the neighbouring towns was invited.
Of these neighbouring towns, fifteen individual people have been sent special invitations at random.
A small key is included, but the letter reads:
Dear ________,
I cordially invite you to attend my opening gala this weekend. All citizens are invited, but I encourage you, ________, to attend in particular. You are number ___ out of fifteen to receive this letter and the key enclosed.
Bring with you this key, but let no one know you have it! You are special. I have selected you to participate in a small adventure and competition with a not-so-small fortune at stake. Whosoever wins this competition shall have your name engraved on my will, and upon my death, will be entitled to everything I own.
The key unlocks the wine cellar, wherein you will find your companions and the people you will be playing against. Let no one see you enter! More than fifteen people entering the cellar will immediately disqualify all of you. I will communicate with you through letters. More will be said upon your arrival.

You are one of the recipients of this letter. One way or another, you find yourself at the party, and amoung the sea of people, you find the cellar door...
Inside, you find your companions, but it quickly becomes apparent that not only is the cellar door locked, but the games are not as innocent as the host made them seem. A massive labyrinth crawls inside the mountain, stretching farther than anyone really knows. Fantastic species of plants and small animals run the entire labyrinth, hiding the periodic little outcropping of an empty house or shack, but it slowly becomes more and more clear that not all fifteen companions are out for the prize.
One of the fifteen competitors is the host, who has a sick fascination with death.
And he's out to kill all the others he's brought with him.

This is an idea I came up with a little while ago! A basic rundown:
Seeking:
Medium: I will be starting a group if I get at least fourteen other players to say they're interested. This way, we don't have to try and manage one thread with fifteen or more people on it.
Time preference: Preferring long-term commitment and interest, with players who are active.
Setting: This is up for debate! At the moment, I have no clue exactly what the setting might be. At the moment, I am leaning toward either a modern, alternative Earth setting, or a fantasy setting.
Rules:
My character, Elias, is the murderer/host. I would prefer, if someone decides they want to be the one who discovers Elias is the murderer, that you contact me first sometime after the roleplay starts.
Yes, if you want to, you may work with Elias once you figure out that he’s the murderer! Again, I would like this to be discussed with me before you do this.
Character deaths must be posted on an out of character thread as advertisements! If you would like to or are okay with killing your character(s) off, post it on an out of character thread, so it may be discussed who kills your character and when.

I will consider all exceptions, but please do not be offended if I ask you to modify it or deny you the exception. No godmodding. I understand that not all characters are human and would be able to overpower a human easily. Your character must have flaws. Communicate with your partner(s) and find out your boundaries, especially if your characters are fighting. Do not control or assume someone else’s character.

Tag your NSFW and obey laws! This is pretty simple. I’m not against smut occurring and totally understand that smut may happen in this RP. - I've started a group and spent most of the day giving it a basic look! - I still haven't been able to choose a setting, so I'd like to spur some discussion. What sort of setting would you guys prefer? Historic fantasy? Modern? Low-fantasy?

Well, considering how my charcater is a weird hairless anthropomorphic thief a fantasy setting is probably necessary 
I'm not sure which character of mine would best fit this setting. Probably Lilith as I'm not as attached to her, but I enjoy playing her none-the-less.

As a general oversight, after some thought, unless anyone objects, the setting is going to be general/low fantasy, in the modern time. So there are guns, computers, et cetera, but there may be minimal magic (nothing too powerful, please). Therefore, wifi exists...but in the countryside, there is no reception or wifi, so cell phones and computers may not be used to escape. That way, our anthro races can feel right at home
