Tyler steadies himself, trying to breathe as he chokes through tears. In his hands is a young girl no older than 12. Her eyes are glazed over and, except for her frantic breathing, she is stiff. "P-please, tell me who did this," Tyler pleads, all while keeping his voice at a whisper.

The forest around them is dark and all but silent. The sound of chirping birds is completely covered by the sounds of animalistic roars. Tyler's breathing reveals his panic and the girl bleeding to death in his hands is good reason.

"T-tall man," She says. As she mutters out those words, her breathing stops and Tyler rests her tooth-impaled, bleeding, battered body on the ground. Simultaneously, two large dog-like creatures crash through the forests thick trees, snapping the branches and trunks.

Their persistent howling and bloody mouths only make Tyler focus more as he draws his sword. "You assholes are gonna pay," He says, smiling through the tears.


[OOC: I'm looking for 1-3 more people to join in who are committed and will actually keep posting on here. Also, there are ordered posts on this so (unless someone doesn't respond for a long period of time) please dont post out of order. This will hopefully be super fun. Feel free to join in w/out asking!]

A man in black leather armor and a black cloak jumps from the branch of a falling tree and slashes one of the dog creatures vertebrae and jugular and hits the ground rolling, coming to his feet next to the other man with a sword and looks down at the dead girl "Hi there" the man in black says to the other guy with a sword unnervingly cheery. Under his cowl brands can be seen under his eyes that are fixed on the other dog like creature

Tyler takes a step back from the man, looking at the girl, then the man, then the dog. "Who are you?" he asks, raising his sword at the man. Is this the man the that attacked the girls village? No...there's no way he'd kill his own hounds. Still I don't think I can trust him. Tyler refocuses on the situation. Who do I kill first: the man or the dog?

"Dorian Hollowtree" the man in black says without taking his eyes of the dog creature before them. "You gonna stab me in the back, help me kill this overgrown pup or piss yourself?" Dorian doesn't wait for a response as he charges the giant dog and rolls to the side away from the snapping maw and slashes his swords across the back of the tendon on the dog creatures front right leg. "Somebody's hungry!" Dorian says before laughing maniacally

A small smirk weaved its way over Ellie's lips as she looms over the fiasco happening underneath her. The camouflage from the leafy tree branches hide her dark outfit perfectly, the night sky blending in as well. She came across the male with the dying girl just when the girl was about to die - pity that she couldn't find the reason why she died. A sigh softly escaped her lips, inaudible to hear from below. Her smirk only grew wider as she watched the weird dog creatures - she could never find a name for them - jumped out from the forest toward the man.
Her expression turned grim and her hands went to her sword, gripping the handle tightly. Just before she was about to jump out and save the day, like a noble runaway assassin would, another male reached the dogs and killed them successfully. Her grip loosened from the handle and she continued to watch them both closely, intrigued by the amount of intensity in the situation as she remained hiding in the shadows.

As the dog crashed to the ground after getting it's tendon slashed Dorian jumped on its head and stabbed through its skull. He then jumps off of the dog thing and walks to the dead girl and drops two coins on her eyes and looks at the man with the sword. "Sheath it or put it to work" he says referring to the man's sword.

Tyler walks to the young girl's body and kneels down beside her. "You're safe now...you're going to be okay, now. We did it...we made it," he says to the corpse. He sheathes his sword and completely ignores the overly violent man. Tyler buries his head in the girl's stomach and lets out a groan of both sadness and relief.

Tyler looks at the man and hands him the coins back, "If you want a goddamn fight, I'll give you a goddamn fight."

Feisty. I do love seeing fights. The young girl thought to herself, settling into a comfortable position as she prepared to watch the fight that may begin. Her sudden change in movement allowed a rustle in the branches, a gesture that she hoped they didn't notice. Hopefully they would take it as the wind - even if they didn't she would come out prepared, and then the fight would be between the three of them instead of two.
Her eyes drifted over to the dead girl, a look of familiarity washing over her. She knew this girl, no doubt. It seemed like a far off, distant memory...Something she didn't want to delve much into. But she knew that she had to eventually. For now she pushed the thought away and began to watch the fight below.

Dorian tilts his head to the side as if confused while looking at the coins then laughs "your sad your mad when it comes to controlling emotions your bad." He says in that unnervingly cheery voice of his. "It's not a fight you want right now but you have some blood on your brow." Dorian says before laughing again his ears perk up at the sound of the leaves rustling cutting him off mid laugh. He yanks a dagger from his boot and throws it at the branch the noise came from. The blade making a thump sound as it embeds itself into the wood.

Dorian's laugh after each rhyme rings in Tyler's head as he unsheathes his sword. "You rhyming piece of disrespectful shit," Tyler says, beginning to take longer and more controlled breaths. He sprints at Dorian, ignoring the sound in the tree, assuming it was a squirrel or another common animal. Tyler tackles the man to the ground, hoping that beating a man to death could bring back just a small amount of happiness.

*i lean against a tree watching the fight with a amused expression*

Dorian tucks his knees to his chest as the man tackles him. Once he feels his shoulders touch the ground he kicks his legs out launching the other man away from him. Dorian rolls backwards and onto his feet and draws both of his swords staring intently at the man who just talked him "You want my blood you'll have to earn it" Dorian says. His voice no longer cheery but no less unnerving. He pulls the cowl off of his head showing the brands under his mischievous green eyes and a small grin. "One thing is for certain in life and that is that you are going to die." He points one of his swords at the dead girl. She now knows that. You now know that. Whoever is in that tree watching us knows that. If you want to try to kill me by all means try." Is all he says before crossing his swords in front of him.

Ellie doesn't even flinch as the dagger gets thrown in her direction, it being barely an inch away from cutting her leg. "Thanks for the sweet dagger." she said smoothly, pulling the stealthy weapon out of the tree bark and inspecting it in the dim moonlight. Her attention ripped away from the weapon and looked to the fight. Her eyebrows raised as the fight came about, in an unusual fashion than what she had expected.
She clicked her tongue in disappointment and felt sympathy claw its way to her cold heart. Even though the male seemed to be older than her, he looked like he was going through a lot of pain, so much pain that he wants to get rid of it badly - even if it means going to extreme consequences. She hesitated to jump out at this moment, but decided not to. Her coming in now would probably make things worse.

"You better stay your ass right on that branch. After this fool calms himself I'm coming for that dagger it's one of my favorites!" Dorian yells to the person in the tree after hearing a voice say "thanks for the sweet dagger."

Tyler lands on his feet and regains his balance. "If you don't mind me saying," Tyler starts as he sprints back at Dorian, who was now back on his feet, "if I die, I'm taking you with me." When he gets close, he takes a strong left swing at Dorian. There really is someone in that tree...How long have they been watching? No--she's not with this person. Tyler pushes his thoughts down and focuses on the fight at hand.

Dorian flips the sword in his right hand around so the pommel is now towards the ground. He ducks the left handed swing and punches with his right hand driving the pommel into Tyler's chest. He jumps back to put some distance between himself and Tyler and feels some warmth on his head. He reaches up and touches his head with his left hand and sees blood on his fingers. "Apparently you have some skill about you. First time I've been hit in the head without being in a tavern brawl."

[If that's the order then my bad. I tend to reply to whatever is happening to my character pretty quickly haha]

Ellie made a disapproving noise, shaking her head in disappointment. "If this is 'one of your favorite' daggers, then why would you use it to attack a tree? A foolish action, if you ask me." she said, stealthily twirling the dagger between her index and middle fingers. "Hmm, that's too bad, then..." She flipped the dagger and ran her fingers smoothly along the sharp edge, it not piercing her skin. "Finders keepers, losers weepers. It's my pretty dagger now." she said with a chuckle, before shoving the dagger into her belt, next to where her other weapons lay.
"Ooh, perhaps I should get some popcorn now. I enjoy seeing fights, but when it's a fight that's happening for no reason at all - that really gets me going." she said, her voice a mix of enthusiasm as well as sarcasm.
