Tyler's face turns red at her comment at his snoring, "Guess I was more tired than I thought," He says, scratching the back of his head. He thanks Ellie for the bread and slowly eats it, trying to savor every bite of this goddaamn delicious honey. "I've gotten pretty okay at bandaging people up," Tyler says, a hint of pride shining through. "I don't know," He says in response to her question, searching for a better response than: Well, a child died because of me, we haven't made any real progress without having to retreat, and there's a good chance we're all gonna die. Tyler is enlightened when he finds his answer: "I'm alright." He says, although the lack of emotion in his voice makes it clear that he isn't. "Thanks for taking watch last night."
Ellie cracks the slightest of smiles; she knows that it would only take a miracle for them to reach their goal without breaking along the way. And now, possibly without one person, they can barely keep up. "It's no problem." she says, before standing up. "I'll try and see if there's any dead guards around. We can steal their armor quickly and get going." she says and packs the rest of the food in her bag.
Dorian progress through the forest is slow, not used to walking in this armor but eventually gets back to the path that will lead him to the encampment and back to the opal palace. He starts whistling a strange tune.
Tyler rubs his fingers through his hair and stretches again, before responding. "Alright, I'll search, too. Yell if..." Tyler pauses and shakes his head slowly. She'll be fine. "Just, don't get hurt," Tyler says. He turns around and walks back toward the fort, hoping to find any guards who may be searching for him.
After some time of searching, Tyler creeps around a tree and finds a large tent, next to it a smothered campfire. On the tent is an insignia that is marked on the armor of every guard. "Be very quiet," A voice says behind Tyler. Tyler flinches as he hears the voice, and his eyes widen as he feels the barrel of a gun against the back of his head.

Ellie chuckles and rolls her eyes at hearing Tyler's concern. "Don't worry, I'll be fine." she says with a wide grin, before her expression dims down to a much more serious one. "You be careful too. I don't want to be alone out here." She waves a farewell and heads her own way down a hill to look for anything useful.
In the span of what felt like five hours, she barely finds anything. She finds a sack of food, and a helmet. She sighs as she sees how it is almost noontime. With her new findings, she hikes back up the hill to their shelter, hoping that Tyler found some more useful stuff than her.

Dorian comes out of the tent with two swords and goes through a short routine before looking around and sees Tyler.
"You made it! You aren't dead." Dorian says walking towards Tyler. "So happy I found swords, they crap I was using didn't feel right. Do have once question though." Dorian says before stopping. "Who's the prick behind you?" Dorian asks getting the swords a bit tighter.

"Hi Dorian," Tyler says trying to keep his head--both literally and metaphorically. "He's a very kind person," Tyler says, his words not matching his expression at all. Tyler tries to shift to show Dorian that there is a gun pointed at his head.
Confusion is one of the many emotions that goes over her once she finds out that Tyler isn't at the sight. She knows that he still might be out there, looking for supplies, but she also has a gut feeling that he's in trouble. "Well, shit." she mutters sharply, irritation edging at her spirit. She sighs and picks up some of her weapons before looking over the area quietly for any sign of life - because all she could see were dead things.
Dorian catches a glint of metal at the back of Tyler's head.
"Well come on then. We still have to go and tear the opal palace up." Dorian says before launching a dagger at the arm behind Tyler's head.

"Dorian, NO!" Tyler yells, but it's much too late--the dagger is already in the air. Tyler watches in pure shock as the dagger gets closer and closer, but the dagger isn't what scares Tyler, it's what the man will do once he is stabbed. Tyler tries to break free, but he is being held on to by the guard. "AGH!" The guard grunts as Dorian's dagger impales his hand. BLAM! A bullet from the guard's gun tears through Tyler's skull.

"Tyler, you're here!" Tyler hears out of the white void that surrounds him. I-I'm dead...aren't I? Tyler asks, his thoughts echoing through his head. He turns around and watches as Serra hugs him tightly. He hugs her back slowly, still trying to figure out what exactly is going on. "Did I die?" Tyler asks Serra.
"Don't think of it like that! Look at how far they've gotten," Serra says. The white void in front of Tyler becomes what seems like a window, allowing him to look down and see the spot where he died. The imagine then slides over farther revealing the camp, then slides even farther, showing the Opal Palace about a few miles into the mountains behind the fort.
"They're so close..." Tyler says. "It's pretty hard to be an optimist right now...pretty goddamn hard."

Inside the tent, Vitus sits on the floor. He examines the shackles around his feet and wrists. He can feel the cloth gag ripping the sides of his mouth. He looks up at the other guard in the tent, who has the misfortune of not having a gun. With the gun-wielding guard taken out, Vitus is given a "fair" chance at a fight. The other guard was stays in the tent, not because he is scared of what just happened outside, but because he was given the job of carefully watching Vitus--a true threat to the Opal King. Vitus through the gag as he leaps at the guard and bashing his head against the guard's. Like magic, the guard is out cold, allowing Vitus to grab his sword and cut the band around his wrist, then the band around his ankles. He pulls the gag out and breathes a sigh of relief, before carefully stepping out of the tent and taking in the blinding
sunlight.
[OOC: Man, guys, this was a pretty ballsy post, but *sniffle* it had to be done. When you get injured most peoples' instinct is tighten their grip. *Sniffle* I guess it didn't go so well Tyler ;a; That, and it was about time to prove that my OC's aren't invincible ;u;
Aaannyyywwaaayyyssss, I was gonna throw Vitus in at some point and well, from this point on, Vitus will replace Tyler. Vitus is, in my opinion, a thousand times better than Tyler(by that I mean he actually has a defined character/style/attitude and stuffs]

(OOC: Nooo, Tyler! He will be missed )
At the sudden sound of a yell, which vaguely sounded like the one person she was looking for, Ellie's blood turned cold. No. Nonononononono. She whipped out her sword and began running to the area at a lightening speed. But it was far too late. She skidded to a stop as she heard a sickening crack and the sound of a body crumpling to the ground. Her eyes widened in complete shock as she saw Tyler on the ground, a bullet wound through his skull. A shiver went through her and she trembled, the realization chilling her to the core. This wouldn't have happened... "I'm so sorry." she whispered to his dead body, refusing to let the dreaded tears appear in her eyes - a sign of weakness she wanted to avoid.
It took her just mere seconds before she went into her killer assassin mode. She pulled out her other sword and slashes every single enemy that came near her, dead or living. She barely registered the fact that Dorian was there, her anger and sadness melding into fury. She had just finished decapitating a nearby soldier when she sees another man appear from the tent. She kills mostly everyone in cold blood, her anger driving her. Immediately her sword's sharp edge is pressed to his neck behind him, and she twists his arm from behind.

Dorian watches as Tyler's body crumpled to the ground and then sees Ellie come out of nowhere killing every soldier she sees. Dorian pulls his dagger out of the dead soldiers arm and rubs into the camp and helps Ellie kill every soldier in sight. "Another one and it's all my fault." Dorian says to himself before cutting a soldier from crotch to collar bone. Dorian disappears into a tent and only screams begging mercy come out of it before Dorian reemerges covered in the blood of soldiers, he looks for Ellie and finds she has someone hostage. He runs over to Ellie and stands beside her, backing her up against any soldiers
"Look, Miss..." The man pauses, very calm with the bloodshed around him, after all, he has no reason to fear--he's one of them. "Ellie, I believe. Am I correct?" He looks down at the ground and sees Tyler's body, a surprising sight even to Vitus. "Before you do something you would very much regret, go ahead and reach into my back pocket," he says. In his back pocket are wanted posters for Ellie, Dorian, Tyler, a man named Brutus, a woman named Cynthia, and him. All the posters have the same crime: attempted assassination of the Opal King.
Surprise flickers over her hardened expression, and the fog over her eyes clear. Her grip on his wrist tightens as she pushes it further up his back. "How the hell do you know me?" she whispers quickly into his ear, bringing the sword close to his neck. She worriedly bites her lip as she hears him explain, and she looks over to his back pocket. "If you even twitch, I'll slice your head like the lowly sack of meat you are." she hisses bitterly before reluctantly letting go of his arm, and reaching quickly into his back pocket. With confusion she looks through each of the wanted posters, and removes the sword from his neck. "Welcome to the team, I guess - Vitus." she mutters before sliding the sword back into its sheath, folding her arms over her chest. She looks over to Dorian and frowns slightly - she still has yet to apologize to him, but that will be for another time.
"Team hell, how many have you killed? As far as I'm concerned until you prove yourself your spare blood." Dorian says wiping the blood Off of his swords them looks at the wanted posters "Seluné wasn't wanted. Why did they kill her? And how is it your so informed as to have these posters?" Dorian asks, his paranoia taking over reason he crosses his swords over the man's throat "Explain or I swear by the time I'm done with you the hell i send you to will feel like heaven!" Dorian all but shouts
Vitus yawns loudly and looks down at Dorian, "Listen, boy, I suggest you don't make threats with me," he says, his voice not coming off as threatening, instead coming across as bored. "A team? Can't say it goes very well. My group was narrowed down as soon as we entered the palace and yours...well, have you even seen the palace?" He asks Ellie, before returning his attention to Dorian. "Let's see...how many have I killed? I've lost count really. It doesn't really matter. Next question...the posters. Well, considering that they're posted around every village like flies on a corpse, I'd say it's pretty hard to not be knowledged. That and I tried to assassinate the king. Got pretty far, too," Vitus says, smiling at his accomplishment. "I'd watch your mouth around strangers, boy. Often rash decisions result in death," he says, looking at Tyler. He then grabs Tyler's poster and using a stick of charcoal, writes a large 'X' through it, the 'X' also appearing on Brutus's and Cynthia's. Vitus bends down and picks up the gun used to kill Tyler, then loading it and slipping it into his pocket.
(Thanks so much for the kudos, AcrossTheSea!)
"Let's just get this over with." Ellie murmurs with a sigh, running a hand through her hair. "What else do we have to lose?" She stands up and stretches, her expression and posture looking as if she had aged after watching Tyler die in front of her eyes. The heavy weight of guilt pushes against her shoulders as she manages to stand up. She feels like her wound opened up again. "It's pointless sitting here and arguing. Let's go and kill this douchebag and forget about all of this already."

"Watch who you call boy. Any idiot can shoot someone, it's a cowards weapon." Dorian says through gritted teeth as he removes his blades from Vitus's throat and puts his swords back in their sheathes and walks away from Ellie and Vitus muttering.
"I need my effects." Referring to his armor and note from Seluné he gets to the wall he escaped from and hides until dark so he can sneak back in.

[OOC: You're welcome, yall deserve it! And thanks for the Kudos, Xion ]
Vitus smiles pitifully at Dorian, "Cowards weapon or not, it's better than waving around a sword like a deranged lunatic," He takes a pause and breathes slightly deeper as if trying to calm his frustration. He didn't think that the Opal King would fear such a hot head. "Not so fast, Ellie. Perhaps we need to take a while and think this through," He says, clearing his throat. "A heads-on attempt is never a good idea. Sneaking in wearing their armor," He looks at Dorian, then back to Ellie, "is also not the best idea. Everyone knows what we look like. Also, if I were the Opal King and my life was in danger, no matter how strong the guards around me are, I would still probably come up with a backup plan. A plan B, if you will. Now maybe he's snuck out into the forest, disguised himself as a lowly beggar, and called himself Peter. Who knows? Not me. All I'm saying is that it is a good idea to really consider if trying to get into the palace is a good idea," He says, taking a breath from his monologue. "However, if you still think it's a good idea to go and tackle the palace, then by all means, do so."
