Dorian hears what the person on the tree says about his dagger and his eyes shift left and up as though he's trying to recall something. " Left boot is the one that I threw not the right..." Dorian breaths a sigh of relief "Still though... Thieving little shit.." Dorian mumbles inaudibly under his breath keeping his eyes focused on Tyler.
As Tyler takes the blow to the chest(and, consequently, coughs up some blood), he realizes that this isn't a head on fight. This guy has two daggers in his boots and two swords. How many other weapons is he carrying. More importantly, who is this girl. Tyler runs to the little girl and throws her over his shoulder, "I'll protect us..." He whispers to the girl as he takes her high up into the trees.

"You idiot!" Ellie hissed as the male jumped into the trees, ironically popping up next to her comfortable shelter in the trees. "Out of all the trees in the world, you just had to go to this one?!" Her dark hazel eyes darted over to him, the dull moonlight illuminating some of her young features. An exhausted sigh escaped her lips, before she took out the dagger. She looked at the girl, a dull headache throbbing at the back of her mind as she struggled to find out who was this girl and why she seemed to important to him.
"Hey, Dorian Hollowtree!" she called out, glancing over to the male next to him before dropping swiftly from the trees. She brushed some of her short hair away from her face and held up the dagger, poking the tip with her finger. "I'll give you back your 'precious dagger' if you agree to leave us alone and to stop the useless fights - even though I do enjoy them." she said with a dark chuckle.

"He started it" Dorian says innocently while staring at his dagger. He walks up to the girl with his dagger and quickly snatches it from her hands and puts it back in his left boot. "Oh just so you know those dogs?" He says gesturing to the large dog creatures. "Aren't the only things in these woods that are over grown and looking for food." Dorian says before walking to the east whistling a strange tune.
Tyler, confused by what Dorian said, stays in the tree. It seems that he could trust the girl--at least more than Dorian. Tyler sheathes his sword and watches as Dorian snatches the dagger away from the girl. Tyler looks at the child in his arms and whispers, "I'll kill the people that did this to you." He sets her down and decides it would be best to try and meet this mysterious woman.
"Name's Tyler," He says, keeping a distance between Dorian and the woman, "What's your name?" He asks, his eyes switching between the two potential threats. The forest is silent. No rustles in the leaves. No sounds of animals. Not even the sound of the wind.

Her eyes turns hard and raw from hidden anger, holding back from lashing out at Dorian as he snatched back his dagger. "Thanks for the advice, Captain Obvious." she mutters. "If you're trying that hard to be a smart ass, then you should be good at it.." She sighed as she pulled out her sword. "They won't attack unless you attack them. Thanks for making them angry." She holds out the sword in front of her.
"I'm Ellie, pleasure to meet you." She says, taking his hand in her small one and shaking it. She nods to the girl. "What's her name?"

Dorian continues to whistle that strange tune and continues heading east and after he is sure they cannot see him anymore he stops whistling and continues on in absolute silence and eventually comes to a spot where he sees the paw prints from the creatures he killed. "Hmm now where did these puppies come from I wonder?" Dorian starts following the paw prints back to where they came from til he sees a tunnel large enough for the dogs to fit through. "Now we're getting somewhere Seluné..." Dorian draws his swords again and slips into the tunnel hugging the walls and flies the tunnel quickly disappearing from sight, even his own.
"Her name is Serra," Tyler says, "I don't really know her," he pauses and tries to think of a way to explain his strange situation, "I've been dreaming of this girl for weeks. Been giving me rescue calls, she is the one who brought me here." Tyler glances at the girl who, if he had just tried a little bit harder, he could have saved. Serra knew this would happen. But the way she said it, there will be more...
"Serra." Ellie whispered under her breath, her eyebrows furrowing in thought. Where had she heard that name before? Her eyes look over to the girl and a pang of s sympathy hit her. She subconsciously reached a hand toward the girl, wanting to soothe her as if she was alive, before hesitating and pulled her hand away. "I'm sorry." she said with a feeble smile directed at Tyler. "How did she die in the first place?"
Dorian continues down the tunnel for what seems like a day to him but realistically it was probably no more than an hour before he shrugs his shoulders and turns around and walks the direction he came in. Once outside the tunnel Dorian heads north "I wonder if she'll be there?" He says to himself heading to the only town he knows of in this region. He starts whistling softly while thinking to himself "Hope they made it. Even that thief..." He continues his journey without a care in the world.
"One of those dogs," Tyler says, holding up Serra and showing the deep bites in her stomach. "I wish I could say it was painless," Tyler mumbles. "Her whole villiage was slaughtered. She told me of an evil man who is terrorizing these small villages." Tyler shakes his head in anger. "Innocent children..." Tyler looks into Serra's eyes. "And now I don't know what to do with her." We should probably head out soon, there could easily be more of these dogs
"Bury her." The two words spill out of Ellie's mouth like they were nothing. Her eyes had turned from its warm expression to its usual hard and cold stare. "It would be for the best, otherwise her body would start decomposing - unless her body is immune to that, of course.." As she finished, a low growl came from the forest. Ellie sucked in a huge breath and turned away from him, stepping backward so that they were now side to side. She cautiously pulled out her sword, while taking a few steps backward.
Dorian gets to the little voltage that he knew only to find it razed to the ground. He notes the dead littering the ground. "Seluné!" Is all he says before checking every corpse looking for the only friend he's ever had. He finds her with her sword rammed through her spine sticking out of her stomach with a bloody now in her hand. He reads the note and cradles her had in his lap and starts crying while rocking back and forth still cradling her head.
Tyler lays Serra down behind him as three larger dogs emerge from the forest, all growling and snarling. The dogs on the left and right have brown fur, with occasional black spots. Their eyes are black. The dog in the middle, however, is dark black, and its red eyes are intimidating.
He pulls his sword from its sheath and watches as the three dogs spread away from each other. The dog on the right sprints straight for Tyler head-on and recklessly, allowing Tyler to ease into a sidestep. Unfortunately, this maneuver meant that there were dogs on both sides of them. "I agree...but here?" Tyler says to Ellie. Tyler moves behind Ellie so that they are back to back. No more being evasive, just head on. Think like the dogs.

"Yeah, because placing a dead girl in the middle of these rabid dogs would be a peaceful rest." Ellie drawled out sarcastically, holding out her sword in front of her. Her back tensed as Tyler's back pressed against her own, sucking in a sharp breath from the heat that was spreading through her cheeks. She wasn't used to this sudden physical contact. She glanced over at the girl before looking side to side, taking slow steps so that they both get a good 360 degree view of what was going on.
The dogs looked like they were going to pounce at any second, and she felt excitement in her veins. "Ready?"

Dorian sets Seluné's head down and pulls the sword out of her back and cleans the blade with his cloak and sets the sword down next to her and pulls a small metal bar out from under his leather armor and places one end into one of the fits nearby and then removes his cloak and leather tunic revealing that his back is covered in scars of various sizes and widths and when the metal is red hot he brands his chest just over his heart with the same symbol that is branded beneath his eyes. He then goes back over to the course and sits down next the body and continues to weep all the while saying "I'm sorry" over and over not knowing what else to do.
"Ready." Tyler says, a smile of anticipation and excitement inching across his face. He looks down at Serra and whispers, "don't you worry," Tyler raises his sword at the dog. It snarls, shakes its head as if disgusted, and stares at Tyler's throat. It sprints at him and, not getting a good angle for a stab, Tyler hits it in the throat with the hilt of his sword, the dog's teeth almost taking a chunk of Tyler's face. The dog makes a choking sound and stumbles backwards after it slams to the ground.
Ellie sucked in a huge breath of oxygen before jumping forward, her skilled assassin instincts taking control. Her eyes changed from a dark hazel color to a bright green, her grip on the handle of the sword growing tighter. She stared at the dog in front of him, seeing everything but the gestures that would make her distracted. Before the dog even let out a warning growl, its head was sliced completely off and sent tumbling to the ground. Ellie kicked to it at disgust before turning her sight on the other one.
Dorian built a pyre out of the wood from torn down buildings and set Seluné on top and said a silent prayer that she always said before battle and then set the pyre ablaze and stood there watching her body burn till there was nothing left but smoldering ash. He picks up his armor and puts it on and then puts on his cloak and pulls the cowl low over his face. And starts heading back into the forest where those dog creatures were so he could follow their paw prints again to find their master and kill him... Slowly.
