(I'm not gonna do any dice. I'm confused very easily )
Maddi leapt up with a giant yell, brandishing the sword with newfound strength. "YOU WORTHLESS TWIG! IT'LL TAKE MORE THAN A TINY SAPLING TO KILL US!" She roared fiercely. The monster turned it's head toward the small girl, as Kara's arrow pierced it's eye. Maddi launched herself at the tree's other eye, slashing it out. She retreated, tumbling down into the corner, as her attitude changed from fiery to meek. "G-go Kara!" She said in a small voice, watching the rest of the fight as she quietly cheered on her companions.

Realizing what the others were doing, Robin directed his sparks at the creature's third eye. Now completely blind, the monster roared and swung its fists uselessly at them. It stumbled around the room and slammed into the door, shaking it on its hinges. Apparently under the impression that it had just bumped into Maddi or Kara, it spun around, punching the door with all its force. The heavy door splintered like matchwood and the monster fell out of the new opening, disoriented and injured.
The way was clear and the monster, while not exactly harmless, wasn't actively trying to kill them. They would just have to find a way to get through the door without letting it catch them.
"Well," Robin said, risking a smile. "That, uh, that worked. Are we keeping the sword, then?"

"Hell yeah, we're keeping the sword, especially after all this work!" Kara says. The monster would have to be distracted so they could get out. "Come over here!" Kara yells, distancing herself from the door and her companions. The monster stumbles around, bumping into the wall, "what's wrong? Can't see?" Kara taunts. As it gets closer, the path to the door is clear. However, the monster now blocks her only way to the door.

Fortunately, the monster wasn't blocking Kara for long, as it promptly tripped over the white altar and landed on the floor with the crash of splintering wood. The three travelers had just enough time to bolt out the door before it got to its feet and roared with fury, chasing after the sound of their footsteps and slamming into the wall of the shack.
By the time the creature had regained its bearing yet again, Robin, Kara, and Maddi were long gone.
Gasping for breath, Robin retook his perch on Kara's shoulder as they came to a stop a short while up the road from the shack. "Well," he said. "That was an adventure."
((I wasn't sure if I should let Maddi post first. ))

(Sorry you guys! I've been super busy.)
Maddi collapsed on the ground, hugging her knees again. She scooted into the brush on the side of the road, and fell onto her side. "That w-was horrible!" She whispered. "I s-should j-just go back. It's s-safer f-for everyone." She proclaimed quietly. Maddi was on the verge of tears, and it was clear that when she was back to 'normal' she would break down at anything and everything.

((Hey, I don't know if either of you would be interested in bringing this RP back from the dead, but if you want, we can give it a shot. I know it was kind of on me for disappearing for three weeks ))
Robin glanced at Kara, then back at Maddi. He hopped off of Kara's shoulder and landed a few feet from the girl on the ground. "Hey, that was pretty scary, what with the giant killer tree monster and everything," he said, trying to keep his tone calm and gentle. In truth, he was just about as shaken as Maddi was. "But we're away from it now, and if you turn back, you'll have to go that way alone. You stick with Kara and me, and we'll be fine." He tried to sound sincere, but he wasn't sure if it was coming across.
Turning back to Kara, he opened his mouth to say something and then noticed her injuries. "You're a bit scratched up. You know how to patch yourself?" In truth, Robin didn't know anything about medicine, and was just hoping that she said yes so he wouldn't have to try to help.
