The Hobgoblin gives quite the fight, all the way up to the pyre. All while slurring curses and insults in his guttural language, he struggles like a devil, with strength befitting his muscular frame. He kicks like a mule, he bites with his fangs, he headbutts, he foams at the mouth like a rabid dog, he even attempts to suffocate the nearest goon by using his manacles like a garrote. It is a fearsome display, but he ends up tied up and helpless like the others. Even by then, however, he sings his own race's war chant in one last act of defiance, his powerful, deep ringing voice attempting to drown out all the cultists.
The Jumi was rather happy that her blindfold had been removed, hastily thanking whoever had removed it, since she didn't know the name of said person. Zirquoise swept her eyes, carefully eyeing her surroundings, every rock, every pebble, making sure that she would memorize every single bit of the place they've been held in. Once she'd seen everyone inside, she'd been given a choice, help everyone, or die and revive with everyone else dead. She'd rather not pick the latter.
Her efforts seemed to have been tossed into a trash when the cultists had come back, they'd went and gotten everyone, giving her at least one more time to look at everything before they bonked (hit, sorry.) her head hard enough to knock her out.
Well there goes the plan of memorizing the path flying out the window.
When she'd awoken, it seemed that the cultists had decided that blocking her view was no longer relevant due to the fact that she'd die anyway, might as well give her her last view.
She was tied quite tightly though, which was rather annoying. The ropes were notably even more tight around her arms, and those areas had started to itch, making her quite irritated.
Although Zirquoise stared blankly at the priests, her eyes showed every single bit of her irritation. "Wonderful chant!" She hissed sarcastically.
But then an idea hit her, she was about to do a.... Small trick, that she'd been born with as a child.
Since her hands didn't seem bonded, she shifted her hand, making her palm face towards one of the so called priests of whatever.
She tried her best to be quiet, slowly moving a golf-ball sized rock, and once it was out of view, she had it speed up, casually chuckling as it hit one of the cultists' heads.

Maelie had yelled in frustration when the cultists had found them. "God damnit!" she growled loudly. As the cultists had come to grab her, she had thrashed around rather violently, threatening to bite or bash those who were foolish enough to come within shot of her horn. Of course, someone likely had restrained her horn, preventing her from jabbing someone's eye out. Yelling and growling all the way there, upon arriving in the chamber, Maelie had looked around and snarled in an almost feral manner towards them.
As she was tied to the post first, she scrunched her nose. Great. It was time to become toast. She didn't even like toast.

Despite the sarcastic shouts and even countersongs, it seemed their fate was sealed. The cultists were very eager to see the group burn alive and already started stepping forward. It seemed the chant was coming near an end.
The crazed old man suddenly gasped for air as he looked down at his chest, through which the end of a gigantic claw poked out. The man tried to scream but when his mouth opened, only blood seeped through. With the last strings of life clutched in his fists, he managed to turn his head to face the monstrosity that ended his life. What he, and everyone else, saw was true horror. A being that could only be described as a hulking mixture between man and bat. As the priest opened his mouth once more, the creature screeched viciously loud and teared him in half!
At this point more figures appeared behind the raging bat creature. Shrouded figures that drew their weapons and seemed to glide over the black mist that had enveloped the entire floor now."Attack! Kill them!" The woman known as Joana called out. The cultists, fearing for their lives, immediately drew their weapons to fight these strange cloaked people.
As the battle rages on, Alfie grew very uncomfortable. He recognized the giant manbat to be a vampire. It wasn't too difficult to assume these cloaked figures were also vampires. This was pretty much confirmed when he noticed some of the figures biting down some cultist's necks. Normal people generally didn't bite necks during a fight.
The hulking beast walked on all fours towards the six pyres. The beast stopped a moment, staring straight down Maelie's face for what seemed like an eternity. The smell of death was strong on the beast, but when it raised its claw to strike, it didn't strike to kill her. It struck her dimeritium bonds. She was free!
But during the chaos of battle, one of the cultists dropped the torch they were holding straight onto one of the pyres. Right onto Prabu's! The dry grass ensured the fire spread quickly and Alfie started getting restless. The otherwise timid Halfling shouted as the lumbering abomination."No! Free me! I can douse the flames! Free me!" But sadly the creature did not listen, snorting loudly and freeing Kvothe instead."Damn it!"
"Mother, up in the sky!
Let the sinner burns! Let us illuminate the darkness! Allow us to rest from thy light once mo-"

Zirquoise felt overjoyed with the state of which events are going through.
The chaos maid her happy, it was so hilarious watching all of those idiotic old men die, it was VERY entertaining.
But then everything she felt went downhill when the torch had set the grass on fire. well, we're doomed. she thought, shrugging.
But then sudden realization came to her, which triggered her shouting in anger, making her control a sharp fist-sized rock to fly at the throat of the cultist who'd thrown the torch, killing him in the process. The thought that had made her act like this was losing her first life to a non-heroic death, and she wasn't planing to let that happen.

The hobgoblin's expression slowly shifts from stony to uneasy and then to panicked, betraying the creature's true feelings. The idea of death by fire does not particularly seem to please him. He struggles all he can, but it doesn't do anything other than hurt him.
Seeing that Prabu was struggling, and that the fire had started with him, Zir focused, maneuvering the rock out of the cultist's throat before having it go to cut Prabu's bonds.
Well, one person saved. She though with a shrug before calming down again.
