The scientists on the other side of the glass examined their condition after the test. "Sir, both subjects seem rather fatigued, and it seems like CW2 is sleeping." One of the testers said to the head tester.
"Hmm, interesting, they don't seem to have very much stamina do they." He observed. "Understandable, considering they presumably never used their powers at this capacity before."
"Shall we continue to the final test, sir?"
"...No, the subjects don't seem to be "battle ready", any data we collect now would be flawed. Let them rest for a while and we'll pick it back up when they're ready." The head tester replied.
"Alright, that will be all for now, go rest up and come back to us when you're ready." One of the testers said through the intercom. Nick sighed in relief, forcing himself to his feet and cracking every single joint in his body. He felt like he was just hit by a truck, he had no idea why he was able to even walk. He made his way to the door and it opened for him, allowing him to step out of the room.

Amber did a mental victory dance when She heard she could to rest. She was even too tired to put her fist in the air it just talk.
Will all of her left energy and Willpower, She crawled her way back to her room in silence while mentally encouraging herself to keep up her 'battle' for sleep and rest.

"Wow, and I thought I was tired." Nick said as he watched Amber crawl away.
"Good job, Nick, you performed a lot better than expected." Kane said as he walked up to him.

"No, that's not at all what I meant." Kane replied. "I just meant that the data we collected a lot more promising than we expected, considering you two weren't used to using your powers so much. Point is, you did well and you deserve some rest, by the looks of things, your partner isn't going to be well enough to take the final test for a while. You're free to do what you want for the rest of the day, just try and stay out of trouble.

Because of all the fatigue this training and her powers had gave her, Amber took a 'quick nap'. Which happened to be a 'quick nap' of 6 hours. When she woke up, her limbs were still tired and sore but decided it might be a good idea to go and grab a coffee or something, to stay awake and hopefully continue the test.At this point, she didnt even know what time of the day it was. Well- if it was still day. She walked over to the door of her room and walked towards a nearby gunman.
''Excuse me, is there a place where you have coffee or something?'' She asked with hope. Hope that there was something for her to stay awake and not fall asleep on the ground. The gunman nodded and pointed a door that led to a tiny room. ''Thanks.'' She added before walking to this room, opening the door and grabbing a coffee. In the room, there were a few couches, a coffee machine and a soda machine, along with a little coffee table and a snack machine. The blue haired wielder grabbed a little cup and filled it with coffee. She plopped onto the couch and just sort of 'layed' there while drinking coffee silently. She was alone in the room and it was completly silencious, but she didnt seem to mind.

Nick's eyes fluttered open as he heard a soft sound come from the hallway. He turned on a lamp on the table beside his bed and looked around his room. He grabbed his phone and looked at the clock, somehow he had fallen asleep as he was trying to relax, it was now 11 o clock at night, nearly midnight.
"Oops." He said softly before he tried to return to sleep. He then realized two things, one, he was sill in the training suit that Kane had provided him with, and two, he had gone to bed without eating dinner, and was starving. He hopped out of bed and walked out into the hallway, being greeted by the gunmen at the door. "Hey guys... uh, I'm going to make a food run, you, uh, want anything?" ''Oh hey.'' She simply replied before sighing and taking another sip of her coffee. ''Not really hungry anymore.. just wanted to drink something to stay awake..'' She replied, pointing the 5 bags of chips in the trash and continuing to sip her coffee. ''I'm too lazy to remove this suit and using my powers made me so tired that i wonder how i got the strenght to come here and how i'm going to get back up later to my room.'' Amber added.
Once her cup was empty, she stood again and filled it for a third time with coffee before going back to her seat and closing her eyes. "As for sleep, I think I'm ok, usually I can operate on just six hours, heck sometimes even five, collage will do that to you." Nick walked over to the coffee table and sat down, opening a bag of chips and stuffing three or four in his mouth.
"Man, I can't believe I missed dinner, though considering we're in a military base the food probably wasn't any good anyway." Nick said, in an attempt to start up a real conversation. "So, uh, how did your training go, you seemed pretty tired afterwards."

Amber laughed. ''I'm pretty sure Military food is as bad as hospital food but hey! They're here to protect us from bad, not to cook us meals!'' She said while laughing. ''But still. I think i'm going to miss the taste of actual food. If there is a kitchen, which hopefully there is, i might try and do something.. I don't know.. i'm too tired to do something productive and too tired to think straight..'' She rubbed her temples and sighed.

So we should go and ask permission to go to a restaurant or something together sometime.'' She offered up as an idea. "As great as that sounds, I doubt they'd let us do something like that, considering how tight security has been since we got here." Nick stated, referring to the constant presence of the gunmen. "At the very least we could probably convince them to bring food to us from a restaurant, but going out is probably out of the question... after all we are Core Wielders, just freaks brought in to fight other freaks." Nick said solemnly, as much as he hated to admit it, that was the reality of the situation, they were tools meant to be used against their own kind, he didn't want to know what they would do to them if they ever stepped out of line.
"Chocolate huh?" Nick said before reaching for the pile of candy he had and pulled out a chocolate bar. "Here, take this, I've never had this brand before, but hey, chocolate is chocolate" Nick said as he handed the colorfully wrapped bar to his teammate.

Fighting between us.. It's in the human nature, even i hate to admit it." She answered before taking another bite of chocolate.
She laughed for a good moment to herself and eventually stopped. "Wow. Caffeine must really wake my brain up if i was able to put out a deep saying like that!" She laughed again and smiled.

Yeah, human nature," Nick stated. "The fighting I'm ok with, more or less, but what I really have a problem with is the freak part. I mean, come on, Kane might be a descent enough guy, but those scientists during the testing clearly didn't see us as even human, just a couple of test subjects for them to throw against a wall to see if we break as easily as humans!" Nick paused to stuff another bunch of chips into his mouth.
"...I'm sorry, this is more of a person crisis if anything." Nick admitted. "I... just wanted to be normal, I hid my power well enough, but these people found me anyway, it makes me wonder just how many Core Wielders they're actually keeping tabs on, and out of all of them, they chose me... why, why me."

Amber sighed and stood up, walking up to him. "Hey.. I didnt want this either.. My whole life i asked myself 'why me'. Why you? Why me? Because why not? Life is just full of suprises. Life is a suprise.. It's not always good.. It's not always bad.. But everything has a meaning later. Why us being choosed? Because were super smart, awesome and were good people. Thats why." She explained calmly, forcing a weak smile. "When i was a kid, i wanted to be a superhero.. But i never understood why they has such horrible pasts and futures.. I know Now. Because in Life, nothing comes without bad crap." She added.

Nick chuckled at her statement, it nearly ruined the moment, nearly. "Well, caffeine or not, I guess you have a point, no real point in wallowing over it, I'm here, might as well get used to it." He said before he continued eating. He thought back to her comment about superheroes, he was a fan of them as well, but he never intended to be on himself, even after gaining his Core Piece, but now he was all but forced to don a cape and mask... "So, you think we'll get code names and costumes?" He asked, in order to move the conversation along.
Amber responded with a shrug. "I dont know.. It would be cool, make me feel like a kid even more, but really i dont know. The core pieces are all unique (are they actually

"Oh well, I wanted to sleep in, but might as well get up now." Nick said as he slid out of bed and over to the bathroom. He did his morning routine same as any day, and that's when it hit him, he didn't feel sore at all anymore, it's as if the training session last night never happened, or at least was a lot less intense then it actually was.
"Whoa, no way!" Nick said in astonishment as he began to move around, testing just how much of his maneuverability he had regained. Just then, there was a nock on the door.
"Nick, are you awake, we're serving breakfast in the conference room." He heard Kane's voice from behind the door.
"Ok, thanks." Nick called back politely. He got changed and rushed out to eat, he was starving.

Amber yawned and rubbed her eyes, still half asleep and dragging her pillow around. The sound of people talking and walking outside of her room had woken her up. She walked up to the bathroom, and decided to take a quick shower before doing whatever was supposed to happen that day. After She was done, She quickly brushed her teeth and hair before putting on one of her 'uniforms'. Basicly what She wore half of the time.
"Ms Dallas, are you awake? Breakfast is waiting in the conference room." She heard a soldier say to her.
"Cool, thanks." She replied as She adjusted her tie and coat and walked over to the conference room. Once there, she sat in a chair and kept quiet but grinned to herself when She realised She wasnt tired about anything anymore. Well! It was a great thing that the effects were only temporary!

Nick was pleasantly surprised by the spread provided to them, nothing to extravagant, but they covered all of the bases, pancakes, waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, french toast, the works. Nick grabbed whatever looked good to him and placed it on a separate plate for himself and began eating.
"So, how you both feeling today?" Kane asked.
"Pretty good, somehow." Nick replied between bites. "I thought for sure I wouldn't be able to get out of bed today, but I actually feel kind of... ok."
"Well that's good to hear, considering we still have one test to go through, and it's going to be the toughest one yet." Kane said, making Nick a little nervous.
"So, how you both feeling today?" Kane asked.
"Pretty good, somehow." Nick replied between bites. "I thought for sure I wouldn't be able to get out of bed today, but I actually feel kind of... ok."
