The reluctant shine of the large pale moon battled ferociously in an endless fight with the glow of neon colored lights hundreds of miles below it. The cause of the innumerable lights were extraordinarily tall skyscrapers or airplanes and also the lower buildings that sat side by side by side with the streets, and shared their illuminesince in the mirrors of their ginormous glass windows. Fast paced Wind rippled past these tall structures like unseen blurs and even some past the louder, honking cars and huge trucks and bigger vans on the ground level streets slicked with moisture. Even at night, at some horrific hour, some places were still open for business strangely enough in such a large city, and people actually went out at night to their work. But their lack of fear for thugs attacking often was quenched due to their city's 'vigilante' watching over them with cold eyes.
The Silhouette.
A young, but very active character that roams the rooftops and occasionally drops crooks at the doorstep of police stations. She can be described as a female dressed from the top of her head to the bottoms of her feet in thick black spandex. Her face or any skin of her body is not visible, although many know of her gender through obvious reasons.
She is crouched patiently on the very corner of a building, her unseen eyes and ears scanning everywhere below her. While crime is abundant here, it is hard to spot in time to stop it. Almost instantly, the spot of the mask where her ears would be changes until they resemble a Wolf's. With these aids, she now clearly hears...silence. Or at least, nothing she can define as trouble or anything worth looking into.
What a night...

What a night...
A girl was walking down the street, wearing large sunglasses even though it was night. She had her hands in the pocket of a large hoodie and walked almost with her shoulder touching the buildings she passed. Her movements were deliberate and her mouth moved with every step like she was counting.
Finally she stopped right in front of a door to a clothing shop, a grin on her face. She backed up a step, then threw her shoulder into the glass with a flash of blue light. It was a quick in and out job. She knew exactly where to find what she was looking for since she's been in the shop earlier in the day. She came back out the hole in the glass with a bulging bag over her shoulder.
She quickly made her way for an ally, one hand skimming the wall beside her. She'd planned this part too. The alley was empty of people and connected to several other alleys, creating a sort of maze. If she could get through it, she'd come out far away from the shop by the time cops arrived.

Young Duuk had been adopted from South Africa at a young age by rich parents little did they know their little boy could manipulate time to freeze enemies in mid attack, jump back an hour in time, or speed up his own movements to hit an enemy up to twelve times with one punch! His parents supported him but suggested he keep his powers a secret. Now Duuk was not looking for trouble on this particular night, but after a long night of partying he did need to stop at the ATM to get cash for his train ticket. This is where chance put him, a meeting of destiny with the small group who would change his life forever. "Who are you?"
"You don't need to know that." Isobel sidestepped the man and picked up her pace. Flashing lights and alarms came from the store behind her. Even fainter was the sound of police sirens, though her sensitive ears could pick it up.
Duuk opened his hand to her, he had never used his powers on a criminal before, only friends in a joking manor. The woman slowed down to nearly a haunt moving a few inches a minute, the cops drew closer and closer, "you know I think your crime spree is..." He began to snicker immaturely, "out of time!" Dukonuu chucked to himself and broke concentration, by now the police were right outside but he was in a room with a criminal. "Um..." Opening his hand, nothing happened. A tattoo on the back of his hand showed a clock ticking down from twelve and was on nine by now, he had to wait to use another time power again... "Uh oh..."
(How long does the slowing down affect her? Also, when did they get in a room?)
Isobel was surprised to feel herself slowing down, or was everything else speeding up? She sneered at the man, guessing this was his fault. "Idiot." Even the word came out slowly, so she didn't try saying anything else. She tilted her head to catch the sound of the police right behind her. Great.

Athens was an easy going guy, he had immortality, powers of a dragon, and was studying his eleventh language! Draconic, Egyptian, Roman, Greek, Latin, English, Spanish, French, German, Russian, Chinese, and now Japanese! He was in a late night sushi bar next to the bank when all this began to happen. "Konichiwa!" He said incorrectly leaving American currency on the counter and heading out to see what was going on!
(I think we should wait until tomorrow to post anymore advancing posts and give Artsy a chance to reply.
Dukonuu: OK thanks, just let me know when it wears off.)

Nick let out a loud yawn, he had just finished his shift at a tech shop in town and was now walking to the bus stop to get back home.
"Man, glad I didn't take the night shift." He said, he didn't know how his coworker did it, stay up all night when barely any costumers came this late at night, in fact, why did they even bother having night hours in the first place. However, these thoughts were pushed to the back of his mind as he got closer and closer to the bus stop.
"...who are you..." Nick faintly heard.
"Huh?" He said, stopping in his tracks, looking around for the source of the voice.
"... you don't need to know that..." a different voice said.
"Oh no, not this again!" Nick complained, desperately covering his ears. He knew exactly what was going on, you see Nick had the ability to manipulate sound, he couldn't tell you how he developed this power, nor does he even really care, he just wanted to ignore it. However, every now and again, usually when he wasn't paying attention, he would pick up some distant sound or even full conversations, some of which led to him being an unwitting crime fighter. "Damn it, get out of my head!"
"...Konichiwa..."
"...what?" Nick couldn't help but say at the strange new voice. "Alright, you know what, forget it, just ignore it, and keep on walking Nick." He said to himself, continuing his trek to bus stop. "Just keep on... walking." Nick stopped when he turned the corner down an alley, stumbling upon Duuk and Isobel, the sounds of sirens quickly approaching. "Ah crap."

(Oh )
Isobel stumbled forward a little as time went back to normal for her, right into the guy who'd unfortunately stumbled on them. "Run." She told him before doing so herself. She didn't really care if the other guy got caught, he'd slowed her down after all. If it wasn't for him, she'd be well away by now.

"B-but..." Nick began, until he saw the lights of the sirens approaching. "Ah, damn it!" He cursed as he ran after the mysterious girl. 'Great, this is just great, running away from the scene of a crime must look really unsuspicious!' He thought to himself, listening for the sound of the sirens. With his powers he could tell that they weren't too far behind, they only reason they hadn't caught them yet was because they were using alleys to evade them.
Eventually, Nick felt it was time to start asking questions, he focused a bit and a pulse of purple light engulfed the two, both blocking out the surrounding noises and keeping anyone from hearing their conversation.
"Ok, so, considering that you're running from the police, I'm guessing you're the criminal in this situation?" Nick said, silently hoping that they weren't caught by the police, or worse, The Silhouette.

Athens didn't know why the group was running but he smiled sticking his leg out the girl tripped, he associate then tripped over her fallen body, and the Mexican tripped over both of them, "why are we running tonite?" Athens wasn't really a good guy, more of an Anti-hero. He didn't care about mortals stealing from other mortals. He found it amusing to lend a hand sometime like in this situation but he never really gave anything like that his full effort. The one thing that mad him pissed off was IMMORTALS, wreaking ha ok on mortals. Hitler was an immortal, Athens killed him, King Tut was an immortal, Athens killed him, the Chicago Fire was an immortal demon... So Athens used his magic Dagger and dragon powers to killit!
This was more of a hobby, "ya know stealing is bad I hear..."

The bag flew out of her hands as she fell, spilling some of the clothes that were inside. Isobel was much more worried about the sunglasses that had fallen off her face. She kept her head down and frantically felt the ground for them. How stupid of her to be tripped up by someone she should have sensed.
"Yeah, well I guess that makes me bad huh?" She snapped at the guy as she finally found the glasses and put them back on. Well, today was just awful.

Duuk had gone over to the police to tell them what had happened and where the escaping criminals went but they pointed their guns at him, "WHAT?!?!?" He was so confused, "I'm trying to help you guys!!!" This angered him, now he hoped the woman would get away... An officer approached him with cuffs and he rolled his eyes raising his hands above him head, "this is bogus."
Nick groaned in pain as he picked himself up from the ground. "Gah, what the..." He began before he saw all of the clothes spilled all over the ground, their security tags still present. "So you really were the criminal after all!" Nick accused, his suspicions justified by her statement to the strange man. As she scrambled for her glasses, Nick quickly gathered up all of the clothes into the bag and hid them, hoping she wouldn't notice where.
"Ok, better leave the rest to the police." He said, before turing his attention to Athens. "Hey by the way, what was up with that "Konichiwa" from earlier?" Nick asked, recognizing the man's voice from before. He immediately realized that might not have been the smartest question, considering he used his powers to even hear him say it, here's hoping he doesn't read to much into it.

Athens could tell that the boy had powers, but the boys stutter and sudden awkwardness told Athens that the boy did not want the criminal and her associate to know. Athens would respect the boys wishes, "so you got Magic ears, super sound powers or what?" Lighting up a cigarette Athens smiled offering the group one as the police closed in. Respect was meant for friends, and worthy enemies, these goofs were robbers. Poor robbers if all they got away with were cloths, "and girl, you got some sort of laser eyes or do all Fallen Angels wear sun glasses at night???"
Athens was sure this would piss off both the mortals, he looked to the third but didn't really see anything special in him. "As for me I'm learning Japanese, it's a tough one but it's coming along," he said smiling, still offering the group cigarettes.

Isobel stiffened as the man recognized her as an angel. She instantly felt the bottom of her hoodie to check if the tips of her wings were poking out. They weren't. "Well, your Japanese is awful jack***. It's evening not afternoon." She snapped at him in her anger. She completely ignored the statement about the sunglasses. She didn't need to answer to him, especially about that. She seemed to ignore his offer as cigarettes as well. Isobel's hand moved to the hilt of the dagger at her waist. It just didn't look like she was going to get away without a fight this time.
Duuk looked up, his hand felt weightless. "Cool downs over," he said to himself as the cop pulled his hands behind his back. He didn't want to use his powers in law enforcement but they were arresting the wrong man! Though he did notice other officer had reached the fallen criminals!
'Hands up,' yelled the officers to the criminals and two by standees. Their guns were help fast on the woman and the smoking man, the two still on the ground were less of a threat...

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, just hang on a second!" Nick pleaded, noticing Isobel reaching for the weapon. "Ok, look, I don't know who you guys are, what any of you are doing here, and frankly I don't care at this point. What I do know is that if we stay here we're all gonna get arrested. So if it's all the same to you, I say we just turn our backs to each other, go our separate ways, and pretend this whole fiasco never happened, what do ya say?" He suggested, but before anyone could answer, the alley was illuminated with the swirling red and blue lights of a police car, three officers emerging and aiming pistols at them.
"Hands up!" One ordered to them.
"Oh, no, no, no, officers, t-this is all a misunderstanding, you see o-only she..." Nick frantically tried to explained, but was just ignored.
"I said hands up where I can see them, you're all under arrest!"
"Gah, jeez, damn it!" Nick cursed as he obeyed, raising his open hands in the air.

It was very surprising to her when she heard all the sudden commotion going on not too far from her. She immediately jumped off of the building, arms stretched out to her sides. The blackness of her costume suddenly morphed and grew wings, then the helmet became the head of a pterodactyl...
Once she had glided enough of a distance, she spotted the causers and participants of the noise. some appeared to be cops, at least as far as she knew...and others appeared to be other people she wouldnt know what to call. The young heroine swooped down into the confined area and morphed her suit back into a normal person's just in time to land.
