"You're not a cry baby, you did fine." Jett would begin to bandage her hand up and apply ointments. "That hurt pretty bad didn't it?" he would wrap her hand completely then kiss it." Jett had man skills she had not yet seen. "Are you okay?" Jett would stand up as blood would begin to pour out of his hand... "Oh well, I better take care of this." he would concentrate heavily for a few moments... he was losing a lot of blood... it would soon heal up and he would stop bleeding... "There we go... now I need to go sit down." he would go sit on the couch, he needed a moment to take a break from the healing.
Cynthia smiled a little bit at him, then nodded. "Y-yeah...it hurt." She gave another nod when he asked if she was okay and smiled as he kissed her bandaged hand. "I'm fi--" Her words caught in her throat when the blood started coming out of HIS hand! "J-Jett!!" If it was possible for Cynthia to be pale, she would certainly be pale right then. "Y-you..." She watched him go sit on the couch. Her head was reeling.
He must have taken the burns onto his own hand. How? It didn't matter...he had taken HER injury. Cyn stood up, wracked with guilt, and walked over. "...sorry." She pouted a little at him, completely unaware of how adorable she looked. "You shouldn't have done that. Sure I don't like getting hurt, but I don't like when YOU get hurt either, doof..."

Jett looked at her and smiled, "Just watch, okay?" he would close his eyes breathing deeply... he would imagine all of the same things he did with her... Slowly she would see the blood climb back into the open wound. His arm was slowly healing... and then it would close... and seal... no blood, just a scar... "See?" Jett would say with obvious exhaustion... "I'm fine now... look at your arm, I bet it's completely healed too..." He would lean back into the couch...
Cynthia watched him, then sighed. She sat down. "But you're so tired now." She looked at her hand and shook her head a little, giving another sigh. Her fingers reached over to touch along his arm gently just trying to comfort him because he was so exhausted.
"Well...my plans for breakfast utterly failed. Want to order in?"
"Well...my plans for breakfast utterly failed. Want to order in?"
"Sure." Jett would get out, he was tired, but if he relaxed and got some food in him, he'd be good as new. "I just need some food, and to take it easy for a little bit." he was just hungry, if he had performed that same feat with a full stomach he'd be fine. "I'd like some crepes and some fresh strawberries!"
Cynthia smiled a little. "Okay. Stay right here, alright? Just relax. I'll order." She went to pick up the phone and call for room service, ordering them both some breakfast and making sure to get his crepes and fresh strawberries. When that was done, she walked over and sat back down. "Alright, shouldn't take too long. Just rest until then."
Jett was fine, she really was worrying too much. "You know babe, I'm fine... I really am..." He was going to recover. "Why do you worry about me so much?" he would look into her bright green eyes, "I'm a tough man, don't forget that I know how to handle things." he wasn't telling her not to care, just maybe not to worry. "I just don't want you to worry as much about me, I spent the better part of my life dealing with pain, emotional and physical. I'm hardened." he would take a breath, "I think that if you knew the things I'd been through... you might know what it is that I mean..." she'd probably never seen anything like what he had... "I know that our worlds differ in that respect and I understand that... just make sure you don't exhaust yourself worrying about me okay?" he would assure her.
Cynthia sighed softly. "Actually...Jett, that's exactly why I worry about you so much. You've been through so much. I don't want you to go through anything else. You don't need to suffer anymore, that's all behind you. So I don't like when you're hurt, and I worry. You don't need to be hurt anymore." She took his hand very gently.
"I don't care if you're hardened. You shouldn't get hurt. You've already been through so much."
"I don't care if you're hardened. You shouldn't get hurt. You've already been through so much."
"Thank you Cyn, you're amazing." he felt her words and her hand. He was fine really, but he felt like he didn't need to hurt anymore. "Tell you what!" he would say, "Let's go watch a movie tonight." he would look into her eyes to see if she was game for this! "I wanna do something kind of low-key tonight." Jett didn't tell her that he'd seen a member of The Movement, or at least a former member.... "Have any suggestions? They show movies in English here."
Cynthia listened to him and smiled. "A movie sounds like a great idea! And I'd be fine watching anything. What do YOU want to watch?" She would hold his hand gently, just relieved to see him smiling and happy. "A movie sounds fun, really. And I'm glad they show them in English, because otherwise, I'd be stuck having you translate everything!" She laughed.
"Let's go see that new action flick, what's it called?", Jett thought for a moment,"Boom Goes The Dynamite?", he honestly didn't care. "I heard that it was good... at least when I was talking to the driver about where to go." Jett could feel the air change... this wasn't good. "We need to go, grab me and the bag now!" There would come a knock at the door, "Excuse me ma'am we have reason to believe there is a water leak in your bathroom we'd like to take a look, please open the door." the voice from beyond the door would calmly say.
Cynthia smiled. "That sounds fine to me." When he told her to leave so suddenly she frowned. "What?" She glanced at the door. "Hold on, Jett." She wasn't stupid. Things were getting weird. She walked towards the door, but did not open it. "Proof of identification, please?" she asked calmly. "If there really was a water leak in my bathroom I believe I should have been informed by the front desk. Let me call down and ask them to get confirmation that they have sent up some repairmen." She walked over to the phone.
Jett could feel the room change, "Listen Cyn if we don't leave now they can prevent me from Flashing, and using my skills, I can't take on all of them." He would look over to her, he could feel them start to seal the room, he would jump up run, grab her, grab the bad, run and leap out the window. "Hold on tight!" he would say as he concentrated, this was harder to do while moving, not to mention he was still tired from healing. He would think hard as the ground got closer and closer and closer... He would picture her apartment, it was all he could think of... FWOOMP! The sound would be made as they flashed into her living room, and into the wall, he would crash into the wall holding her... "UGH!" they had hit the wall at almost the speed they were falling. He would look down to her to make sure she was okay, he'd been shielding her in case they hit the ground.
Cynthia gasped as they were taken off. "J-Jett!!" She held onto him tightly, her eyes shut tight. Her heart was racing in her chest as they hit against the wall. It took her a few moments, but she would open her eyes and move back a little bit. "J-Jett! Are you okay?" She was alright. Quite a bit shaken, but alright. She pulled away from him and looked around. Home. They were home, at her apartment. She put her hands on her head, trying to comprehend what was going on.
She would have demanded answers from him right then, but he had just crashed into a wall. She managed to keep her mouth shut.
She would have demanded answers from him right then, but he had just crashed into a wall. She managed to keep her mouth shut.
Jett would fall unconscious, he'd exhausted himself beyond his normal use. He had also shattered his right arm, which he'd used to absorb the impact. His arm was obviously mangled. It would take more than splint... he was out cold and his head was bleeding from the impact with the wall. He was out... but for how long?
Cynthia stared in horror for a few moments, but then she snapped out of it quickly. She called nine-one-one and they sent out an ambulance to recover him. He was put in it, and she stayed with him, and off they went to the hospital. Her mind was whirling. So much was happening, so much was going on. She couldn't believe it. It was scaring her, honestly. But none of that mattered right now, nothing mattered except for Jett.
Jett would stay out for some time... they would get him to the hospital and fix his arm in surgery, but find... something interesting in his body. The doctor would come out to talk to Cynthia. "Ma'am are you his sister?" he would ask.
Cynthia shook her head a little bit. "I'm his girlfriend. He doesn't have any family. Why, what's wrong?" She stood up and looked at the doctor anxiously. Had they found something wrong? Was Jett injured worse than she thought? Was he going to die? She was scared.
The doctor looked at her, "Ma'am he has some type... of..." he would look around, "let's speak in private?" he would open a door to a small room with a few chairs and a few magazines, some sort of lounge. "Ma'am, your boyfriend is... well best way to put it, he's some sort of cyborg? He has a device in him, and the device is damaged. We feel that could remove it, but we're not sure what it would do to him, do you know anything about the device?" he would look across at Cynthia, "The thing is we can either repair it, or remove it, both are incredibly risky, though repairing it does feel like a strange thing to say. As far as his head injury goes it appeared he had fractured his skull. He's stable for now, but he's going to be out for a while."
Cynthia followed him into the room and listened intently as he spoke. A device in him? "A device? What do you think it does? I mean, is it a tracking device, or something bigger?" If it was a tracking device, she wanted it out of him. But by the way the doctor was talking, it seemed the device was actually part of him, and she had a feeling it might be what helps him recover so fast, or aids with his other abilities. "...if you can, fix it." She was worried, but she managed to take a deep breath and let it out. "Okay." She nodded slightly and sighed. "Thank you for telling me..."
