Cynthia chuckled a bit and smiled at him. "Nah, I think I should stop before we reach the 'CAB PLEASE' state." She laughed a little and smiled at him, then gently pulled herself away and stood up. "You ready? Come on. We should walk home now." She chuckled and would hold her hand out to him. "Can you still walk?" she teased.
Jett would stand up and stretch a little probably bumping a light fixture. "Oops, Yeah I can still walk, let me go pay for our food and drink. Wait for me?" Jett would walk up to the counter and pay for the meal and, even if Cyn didn't see, leave a nice 50% tip for the waitress.
"Ready to go? My legs are steady." Jett would go open the door for Cyn like a gentlemen should.

Cynthia chuckled and nodded. "Okay." She let him go to the counter and pay, and once he returned she smiled. "Yep. I'm ready." She smiled and walked out the door as he opened it for her. "Thank you." She would start walking down the street with him. "That was fun, Jett. We should do it again sometime."
"I agree we should do that again", Jett would hold out his arm if she wanted to walk with it, "very soon."
Jett would walk with Cyn and really take in the now evening air. He would also drift between looking at the sky and Cyn. She really took him in... he was just wrapped up in her presence... she made him happy. He found someone who was just fun, nice, and made him happy... don't screw this up, he thought.
"You're really special you know?" Jett said in his most sincere voice.

Cynthia walked with him, taking his arm and smiling. She felt a bit light-headed, but everything else was fine. She was just relaxing as they walked, enjoying the evening air. When he spoke, she looked at him and blushed a little. "Thanks, Jett. That's really nice of you to say." She continued walking with him for a few moments, just relaxing in silence.
Jett would walk down the street, "Where are we headed?" Jett didn't care as long as he was with her. "I can walk for days personally." He smiled and look down at her.
Jett was feeling pretty good, he only had a warm sensation in his stomach, he was also the type who finished a bottle or two usually. He didn't care he wanted to do what she wanted to do. He thought it was amazing to just be walking down the street and meet a person, so fun, so different, and yet so accessible. He'd met some very cool people in his day, but he was sure that none of them were as special as Cyn was to him now.

Cynthia smiled. "To my house, silly. It's getting late. Remember, you promised to walk me home." She turned the corner. "It's just up this block. I live in an apartment." She reached the complex with him soon and smiled, going inside and up the stairs, and to her door. "Well, this is me." She smiled at him. "Do you have a cellphone? Or any way I can contact you again?"
Jett frowned, "No, I don't... I'll make a deal with you though... if you're okay with it?"
Jett thought for a moment to come up this DEAL of his.
"I'll get your info, and call you whenever a good time for you is, from a payphone. I don't have a place to stay or I would call you from there." Jett realized he didn't know of any hotels, but it didn't matter they were never safe enough. "I want to see you again... maybe take you on a date Cyn?" Jett smiled, "If you don't mind that is?"
Jett was thinking of how he would contact this woman, but he couldn't have a phone, his voice was in a database and all cell and satellite phones were looking for it. He could get a beeper though...!!!
"I have an idea, do you know where I could get an old beeper? I just don't like phones too terribly much, I always feel like I am under surveillance." Jett wanted to tell her, but he didn't want to scare her away..."I could call you from that place with my beeper number and I could call you anytime you beeped me. How's that sound?"

Cynthia smiled and listened to him. But after it all, she paused and blinked. "You...don't have a place to stay? Where are you going to spend the night at?" She bit her lip a moment, then opened her door. "Here, come on in. I'll give you directions to the nearest hotel." She smiled a little at him. "And directions to an electronics store so you can get a beeper."
She went inside and fetched some pen and paper. It was a plain apartment room, opening right up into the livingroom, with an open kitchen and dining room too.

Jett was thankful for her invitation,"Thank you" Jett said, "I planned on finding a nice place to stay for the night, but I don't know what tomorrow will bring." Jett was lying about the hotel, he was likely to stay in an alley somewhere inconspicuous. He didn't want the chance of endangering too many people or being found out and having to flee from this new place, and his new friend... He was thinking though, of buying a house. "I appreciate what you're doing for me here." Jett walked up behind Cyn slowly and put his hand on her shoulder. "I really do, it's not everyday you let someone into your home just to help them, and for that I appreciate your hospitality." Jett wanted to spin her around and kiss, her but he didn't want to seem like a jerk.
"Thank you."
"Thank you."
Cynthia looked over her shoulder at him and smiled. "You're welcome. It's not a problem Jett, really. Friends look out for each other, right?" She chuckled and kept writing on the paper. "Besides, if you tried anything, I'm pretty certain I could defend myself. But I know you wouldn't do something like that." She smiled and handed him the paper. "We shared a bottle, after all." She chuckled. "Alright. Anyways, here's where you want to go. The directions are right here, and they should be easy to follow. And in this corner, that's directions to the electronics store."
"Thank you, I hope I see you again really soon." Jett was somewhat sad to go, it might have been easy to see that. "I had a really good time with you Cyn. Please take care and lock your door tonight okay?" Jett just wanted her to be safe.
Jett walked out the door and turned to Cyn, took her hand, and if she didn't pull it away he would very lightly kiss it. "Good night Cyn... I'll call you okay?"

Cynthia smiled at him and nodded. "Yeah. We'll meet up again soon, alright?" She smiled and would nod once more. "I will, I promise. I'll be fine." When he walked to the door, she followed, blinking as he took her hand. She blushed a little as he kissed it and chuckled. "Okay. Goodnight, Jett. Take care, and please find somewhere safe for the night."
"I will please have a good night." Jett walked down and out of the building. He was happy and sad all at once, he was excited for their next hang out, and was even more excited that she wanted to hang out again. Jett may have gotten a little cheesy with the kiss, but he had to meet her in the middle, he didn't get the feeling that she was ready or wanted a kiss, but he wasn't leaving without giving her something. He felt the night air hit his face, and knowing he was no longer buzzed because of the way his heart was beating. He wanted to run for miles, he felt like a teenager again. He would walk down to the store and get a beeper, it was old enough tech that he was probably okay, he got a texting beeper it was good enough for him. He text her "Hey it's Jett, my beeper allows me to text, kinda cool right?"
Cynthia's cellphone buzzed on the counter and she picked it up. She'd gotten a quick shower, so her hair was still in a towel, but she smiled as she read the text. She sent one back. 'Yeah, that's great! Now we can contact each other easier. You find the hotel yet?' She sat down on her couch and turned on the TV, keeping her cellphone in reach.
"Yeah I found a great place, it's over by the pizza parlor! WOO HOO! PIZZA!" Jett was actually sleeping behind the pizza place and was up against the building, it was comfortable, but he'd had such a good time that he was going to sleep like a baby. He did see an abandoned old church on the way to the electronic store, only a couple blocks from the pizza place and Cyn.
Cynthia laughed a little and smiled. She would text back, 'That's great! Well, it's late. We both need some sleep. Goodnight, Jett.' She turned off the TV and got up, setting the phone on the nightstand and getting into bed. Soon, she'd fall asleep.
In the morning, she woke up. Her usual routine started. Had breakfast, brushed her teeth, got dressed, brushed her hair, then she checked her messages on her cellphone. She had a few minutes before she had to leave for work.

Jett got a few hours of sleep, but he'd woken up to watch the sunrise as was his custom, he wanted to see what the sun looked like from everywhere he slept, it was kinda strange to most, but to him it meant the more places he'd seen the sun from, the more he could appreciate his life. "Good morning sleepyhead hope you slept well, if you get a chance text me today!" Jett was hoping he'd get a response, but in the mean time he walked over to the old church to see who was selling it. He found the realty company and put up cash to purchase it under and alias, he was now a homeowner, well a church owner he laughed at his thought.
Cynthia checked her phone and smiled. She sent a text back. 'Good morning! I'm going to work today but if you want to drop by, here's the address'. She included the address of the cafe she worked at, and at the bottom of the text she added; 'Be prepared'. Well, whatever that meant. Jett was in for a surprise though, if he would come stop by.
Jett received a text, it was Cyn of course, "be prepared what does that mean?" he sent back.
Jett had been working on his new home for a few hours now and had managed to clean it up nicely. It still needed major work, but nothing outside Jett's skill set. He was happy with the work he'd done, and was going to get some food, why not where she was working?
Jett took a shower and cleaned his clothes by hand and headed to her cafe. What he was in for, he'd no idea.
