"And what you do have, I do appreciate," Kovacs was testing the water, trying to get an idea of this female's personality. He had no idea of the double entendre he just uttered, making the flirt purely accidental. "Less baggage is better for everyone, and I'm willing to learn what you know. You said your mother was human, but your father a massive spider? How, exactly, did that combination manage to produce viable progeny?" Yet another accidental flirt; he was in a roll and didn't even realize it yet!
Ellen innocently giggled as his choice of words and explains the somewhat sad tell. The story I was told by my mother was that a crazed short white haired scientist with black shards on her arms was trying to see what can of hybrids that can be made through...traditional means" her face began to red just explaining her story and she felt a little uncomfortable but it's not like everyday everyone asks her where she was from.
"So my mother was captured placed in a cell with a large spider with an augmented tool for insemination into her and did the deed against her will since they induced my father into a heat filled frenzy and soon I was popped out of a cacoon and studied in a lab by the lady with rocks on her arms and soon I was deemed not viable for something by 16 by her bosses and so instead of killing me they sent me free to roam the galaxy" she explains her story to her guessing he wasn't expecting such a sad one at that.
"I'm sorry if I made you sad, but I believe if I tell you a little bit or myself I thought you would understand more about the coupling" she states, pouting as she touches her own fingers nervously.

Kovacs frowned, not surprised that such an experiment occurred. He was more angry than anything; that's no proper way to treat anyone! "It seems that no matter where I go, there will always be some depraved asshole to try and play God. At least they let you live."
He stopped to place a hand on Ellen's shoulder, "Remember, you are now one of my crew. Don't be shy about approaching me for anything. One team; one fight."
Kovacs started walking towards the market. "We're not going to the ship until tomorrow, but I've got eighty-eight tonnes of diamonds, and they're just going to collect dust if I can't sell them."

Nirix wasn't sure what was more annoying for her.
Her hesitancy for her to act the current situation or the fact that Arnaldo had done so and it appeared that it was only making the situation worse.
It would be too simple to just kill Cesare; Nirix was fast enough to cut him down but not fast enough to be able to stop the rain of bullets that would come down upon Ketin and probably any other bystanders. That was too much bloodshed and Nirix wouldn't be able to live with herself if she did something so stupid and got Ketin killed.
She had vowed to keep him safe and alive at all cost. Nirix was going to keep her vow.
So what were her options? Wait for an opening? Sit and listen? Normally, Nirix would've been patient but as of now, the Eoclu didn't like any of those options. She was dealing with a crime boss, one who had more men and would probably send them after her again. Not that Nirix wouldn't just kill them or Cesare when she got a chance.
Revenge was messy, she supposed and Nirix was growing tried of having to avoid such messes.
Nothing was ever simple anymore.

"Yea, lets not do that again" whispered Jet under his breath, after listening in on Kovacs, Ellen, and Erica. Jet was reeling from the amount info he was trying to process. "So after giving the man my ship and cleaning his, he has the guff to instantly tell them everything? I have to interrogate that son of a @#$%& just to get a small amount of info out of him. He really is thinking with his richard rather than his brain. Well I am out." thought Jet as he walked away from his observation corner, slurping up the last leech. "That certainly was the best Giant Leechworm I have ever had."
Jet walked for a while, shifting through the crowd of humans, alien species, and everything in between, "I guess I look like the out of place on here.". After strutting around for about 10 minutes he saw it, a human dressed in all black walking behind a building, following a group of humanoids dressed in gray.
Curiosity got the better of this cat, and Jackson followed the men, trying not to make a sound. While attempting to stay quiet, he tried listening in on their conversation. "So you have them? Yea all six of them. Oh that's great, real great, so how much do I owe ya?26,000 Standard. Jeez, proper fighting insectoids are hard to come by these days. You're telling me.". "Fighting bugs? Really?"Jet had to investigate further.
After watching them go into the basement, behind the store, Jet attempted to go in. After many failed attempts at lock picking, Jet just decided to jam whatever piece of scrap he could find, into the lock, and then turn it manually. That got him through, but it cut a minimal layer of skin, not enough to bleed though. He began walking down the stairs until he saw the menagerie of space weirdness in front of him. To his left sat a large man, wearing a Gulam silk robe, and to his right was a large pit, which had spectators of all kinds gathered around. Then he looked into the pit.
Inside the pit where two humanoids, one , Jet guessed, was a normal human, the other looked human too, except for his oxidized copper green skin. On the back of each of their necks sat a little inconspicuous silver bug. It had its fanged buried deep into their napes, and looked as if it wasn't coming out. Yelling and shuffling was all Jet heard before a light fog surrounded him and he blacked out.
Jet awoke to the sound of intense pain and chains. He gathered his senses and steeled his nerves in anticipation of a fight, but all he got were more screams and a couple of empty groans. After a quick survey of the area he realized he was in a holding chamber, it was complete with prisoners chains, screaming, and guards. Jet lodged himself in a corner that he had found and began to think, and listen. "Come here, you @#$%&? useless piece of @#$%" said one of the guards, holding a prisoner and grabbing a silver tinted object out of a bowl. The silver tinted object was later revealed to be one of the bugs he had seen on the pit fighters. "Oh so that's what they meant by bugs" mumbled Jackson before the prisoner the guard was holding went on a crazy rant, kicking and screaming as the guard electrocuted him until he stopped. They then threw him into an elevator, which led to an unknown destination.
2 hours, Jet had been sitting and thinking for 2 hours before one of the guards came up to him, baton coursing with little arcs of electricity. The guard motioned for Jet to get up, and with nothing but complacency, Jet rose up, and was about a foot taller than the guard. From what Jet had deduced, he was in a holding cell for POWs, the criminally insane, and major criminals. They were to be sent to the main level where they compete in gladiatorial battles to the death, complete with an emperor like thumbs up and thumbs down. "Just like ancient Cyrodai" laughed Jet as he began to piece together the fact that all of this was illegal, even though they were criminals, it still wasn't right.
Jet was pushed right before the door. His head was pushed down to the guards level and he felt a slight prick in his neck. Then he felt a blood curdling lust for death, and then he was electrocuted. He awoke to see the gates of the pit and felt a great push forward. He fell straight onto the ground, and the door in front of him opened up. "Lets just get this over and done with."
He fought a total of 6 matches, winning all of them in a time span of 30 minutes or less. After he snapped the 6th ones neck, he yelled up at the man in the chair. "So how many more do I have to kill before I can leave?". His question got a slight laugh from the spectators, and a hearty belch from the man in the chair. "Leave? You're a scum, a criminal, you never get to leave. You don't deserve to" bellowed the man as he slinked farther back into his chair. "Criminal? The only illegal thing I have done all day, was putting my soup bowl in the trash can instead of the recycling bin." yelled Jet as he pointed at the man. "Oh really? Well from what I have seen, you have killed 6 men, for no apparent reason. From where I am sitting, you are a serial killer.". Jet didn't have time for this, he stretched and prepared his knees. Then he launched upward, with a jump so magnificent, it would put angels to shame. He soared over the spectators and straight onto the man in the chair, killing him instantaneously. "Oh boy, that was an accident" said Jackson, running towards the stairs where he came from, as fast as he could, dodging stun batons and the odd knife as he ran. He finally had made it to the door until..
Bang, a bullet had hit his...hair. Apparently they weren't expecting a 6' 8" jungle man to run through their weird fighting arena and out the door. Jet gave a laugh and lunged out the door. He then pushed the doors closed, and turned the makeshift scrap key to lock it. Then he gave the lock a good kick and sent the metal deeper into the lock, making it so no key could open it from either side.
Jet began his trek back to the White Death, trying to forget what just happened.

Kovacs had managed to sell all of the diamonds to a mining company called "Ghrumm'z Gemz." It was run by an ork-type thing that his helmet's sensors swore was a fungus. "How soon can you get these out of here?"
"Dun warreh, metull man. We'z gunna git 'em shinies outta yer ship soon enuf! Boss Ghrumm sez ta tank he fer ya'z jennerahsuhtey!" The Store Boy wagh'd out, his speech horribly misspelled.
"Tell him I appreciate it. Now, my payment?"
"Roight, mate. Dat's free hunnit kay get each ton, at ate-ate tonnies. 'Ere's yer coyn, 'Mandahr!" The ork handed him an OSD with over two and a half million Standards. It was still a lot, but he sold them to the station's Wagh! in exchange for information about certain bounties.
Particularly his own.
He had been on the station for one galactic day, and already someone put a bit on him for 750,000 standards. Kill or Capture, the contract stated, and there was already a list of false accusations concerning things he had no clue existed. Like "Defacing Qorlagh's favorite moon in the Sepikks Nebula." What the heck was that about?
Business complete and ship repaired, he used the newly acquired money to pay off the rodensects. They gave him a discount, too, because he bartered schematics for a Type-37 laser cannon. It was a seriously outdated model, having been made in 3209, but it was still a massive improvement on some of the energy weapons he saw on the station.
Looking at his locally obtained watch, it read 13:45, which meant that it was almost time to leave. He had already obtained a courier contract from an Elkoss Combine. They wanted 75 tonnes of cargo delivered to Point B in two weeks. He challenged them that he'd get the haul there for double the pay by noon tomorrow, or he'd do it for free. And they laughed, but accepted anyway.
So while the orks finished moving the diamonds from his hold and the Elkoss shipment was brought in, he waited for his new crewmates to show up.

For Ellen she just wondered around too far away from Kovac's ship, but as the individuals who bought the diamonds came to pick them up, she simply snuck by one of the crates and casually took at least one of the diamonds for herself in awed by how shiny it was and how it sparkles. She soon came back to Kovacs as she nuzzles the top of diamond in her mouth, making her look like she was cutely suckling on some kind of lickerish. As she approached him she says "I'm here" as she continues to suckle on the diamond making humming noises as if she was eating some delicious candy.
For Erica it didn't take long for her to finish refueling and going back into her ship for take off. As she sat in the cockpit, she chuckled to herself hearing Kovacs saying "play god". As the ship took off from the station she saysto herself "Oh Kovacs, so much you are gonna need to learn...everyone out here thinks there God" and then she launches the ship into hyperdrive and goes towards Kremlin mall station.

He turned when he heard the musical humming, the reverberating audio of the arachnean's vocal chords silk on the ears. The cargo movements were almost done, and then the commander would have five minutes to inspect the updated manifest for accountability. He had to make sure nothing was missing, or there that shouldn't be.
Kovacs looked back at Ellen, raising a brow. "I didn't know spiders ate diamonds." Especially ones formed from meteoric ice. "All we need now is Mr. Jackson to arrive, and we'll be off."

Planet Konigsberg, Castle Everheart
For the Black knight Nocturnus, standing around very large and tall throne room. After exploring the galaxy making sure it was ready for his Lordships arrival to this universe, he was back to his usual duty of being her protector from any threat that may come her way. He like the sentry he is, he stood guard by the throne as he see’s delegates from the Darken Cathedral come in headed by a very tall man of good 15ft, almost as tall as giants, with his long old face and missing hair on top of his head while long strains of white hair goes around the his head, like old monks of Europe used to have but his was much longer. This giant of a man wore a long black robe with grey animal on the shoulders and around the collar.
Nocturnus says and states “Judicator Jugo, what brings you to her lordship’s court?” Jugo nodded at the small black knight and states “I am here on behalf of the head of the Cathedral, Cardinal Sulyvhan and to update her on her little project” with his deep long booming voice of patience and reasoning, of course, his nickname the “Voice of the Church” was because of his voice. Nocturunus just stared up at the Judicator and responds “Sadly, her Lordship isn’t here at the moment, but she sh-“ he was cut off as another door on the other side of the room opened and Lord Ova came out of, rubbing her wet hair with a towel as she was covered by a bathroom that was obviously just slightly too small to hide her slim yet fit build and large bust, which caused the escorting inquisitors to whisper to each other while the judicator giant and the escort of the tall and lanky Cardinal Guardians stood on as they see their Lord approach her throne and once she sat in it, they all kneeled down towards her except for precious Dark Knight.
Lord Ova smiles as she crosses her legs, giving whoever was looking a good view in what was underneath, but lucky no one dared look while they kneeled or they would have suffered severe consequences. Once she was comfortable she says “Here I thought Sulyvhan finally came to visit me, yet he sends his personal Judicator to send his word. You may rise if you wish” Jugo rose back to his feet and says to her as he looks at her calmly “My master sends his regards and wishes to express his sadness towards you in not being able to visit you very often. He has been busy with the duties of the Cathedral while also juggling things at home since he has a baby boy that is about to be born and wishes to be there when it happens. He tells me that he’ll visit you when the boy his born” Lord Ova nods and states “Well I guess I’ll take his word for it then. So tell me Jugo…how’s the little pet project going?”
Jugo coughed a little before he spoke. As he looks at her he explains “After many trails, I am glade to say that she is ready for combat, yet not the battlefield, physique is good but the real problem is her mind. It remains unstable and she isn’t able to communicate with words but with vocal sounds instead. Her mind is also prone to fits of rage which makes her become highly stable and possibly injury anyone around her…friend or foe. However we figured out that too soothe her back to some kind of stability is this small music box” as he pulls out a small octagon like music box with a key like wind up on its side.
Ova looks at the small toy in the large hands of Jugo and asks “Do we know why she has the affinity towards its sounds?” Jugo shook his head and replies “Not personally no, however the soothing song it plays does work though on her” Ova slowly nodded her head, understanding the info she was given for her little pet project. “I’m guessing having her as a Sword of the church would be a bit dangerous since she could possibly bring the building down, hm?” she asks as she continues to think. “Indeed” Jugo replies to her. “Very well then, I’ll send her in on a mission, give Noctunrus the music box…he’ll be her handler since he can with stand such power and you may go now” she says to them as she then gets up and walks back towards the door she came out of so she can change do some other tasks that need to be done. Ellen stopped suckling on the diamond and looked at Kovacs with a curious look and says "I don't eat diamonds...I just like how shiny they are and how they taste" as she continues to follow him closely as she went back into suckling the diamond once more wondering who else are they waiting for now.
"Ah what the !@$%" said Jet as he watched the spider-lady sucking on a diamond as if she were a Szelain Strider sucking on a sugar cube. Still feeling the all encompassing bloodlust from the bug that is currently biting into his neck, he let out a guttural scream and/or a punch every 10 steps, hitting a shopkeepers stand once and paying for damages. Jet finally making it to the ship noticed the other ship hyperdrive away.
Jet looked at the spider-lady from top to bottom and thought "NOT AGAIN, NOT GIANT SPIDERS, I HAD ENOUGH ON GALLATRON 5". He then walked up to the 8-legged woman and reached his hand out for a handshake. This handshake would decide his respect level for the woman, Jet already knew her name but wanted to see how strong her handshake was.
"Hello, my name is Jet, nice to meet you Ell...I mean what is your name?"

Ellen pulled the diamond she sucking away from her mouth as she turned around to look at Jet. As she pulled the diamond out, she was drooling and so when she went to give him a handshake she hadn't realized she her saliva that was dripping out of her mouth was getting on the muscle bounds mans hand.
She gave him a soft handshake, an indication that she wasn't a cruel or hurtful individual but one of kindness and innocents even though the top she wears and her eagerness to fertilize her eggs may show other wise. As she shakes his drool ridden hand she greets "Its nice to meet you, Jet, and you almost had my name...it's Ellen" as she gives him a cute friendly smile at him. She then realized that she drooled on his hand and her face went red as she tries to apologize "I'm sorry! I didn't realize I drooled on your hand!"
Out of nerves she rushed back towards Kovacs and hid behind him even though she towered the smaller male, but she did hold onto his shoulders as she breath on his back as she looks at the steroid induced man who seems to suffer the acute case of roid rage and see what he does as she basically uses Kovacs as a human shield against whatever Jet has in mind for her.

"Well thats no way to greet someone now is it?" chuckled Jet as he flicked the saliva off of his hand. "Ellen? Nice name, well if you don't mind, this will take a second", Jet reached up and behind his head and grasped the silver bug that had attached to his nape. In one clean motion, he ripped it off and crushed it in his hand. Up into the air it went as Jet tossed it into his mouth. "Agggh pfft, that was mechanical, not organic." spat jet as the little pieces of wiring fell out of his mouth.
"Now onto that handshake, that was too light, so I will assume she is weak, gotta protect this one...or I could leave it to Kovacs...nah I have to stay to my principles! New me, remember!" thought Jet as he walked to the door of the White Death, waiting for Kovacs to unlock it.
"Hey Kovacs, you got a nickname? How about you Ellen? I am tired of saying the full thing, and besides we are friends, right!?", Jet then waited for Kovacs to approach and grabbed his shoulder and pulled him over. "If those eggs get any closer than 5 meters of me, I am cooking them for breakfast! You hear me? I've had enough problems with spiders in my day to come to this conclusion. I also...bought more movies on my way here." whispered Jet into Kovacs helmet.
Jet looked through the bag of things he bought while he made his way back from the pit fight. He bought, a couple of pillows, some bags of chips, 16 movies, an old holo-television (gets channels from anywhere in the galaxy) and 6 wanted posters, just in case he got bored of TV. "Bounty Hunting might be fun..." said Jet as he held up the poster of Kovacs to the lights in the docking area of the station.
It took about 15 seconds for people to start realizing that the Kovacs that was on Jets poster, was the Kovacs that was standing right before them. "Hey Kovacs, I think we should get moving...I don't know...its just a hunch" Jet whispered as he prepped for a fight on their way out of there.

"You can call me Commander, Sir, Kovacs, or Apex Seven." He left it at that. Then when Jet pulled out the bounty poster of himself, he had to resist the urge to violently facepalm. The cargo transfer now complete, the bay doors closed automatically, and Kovacs swiftly cycled the airlock.
Pushing Ellen inside after Jet, he set the autopilot to take them to a point five kilometres away from the station, out of mass lock. "Next time we're in public, try using your head, for once?" he snarled, rushing to the bridge for direct command.
Thanks to Jet's blunder, the local hunters had already gotten the location of his ship, and were coming for an assault. So far, there were three, coming fast. Deciding to show off a little, he deployed hardpoints as soon as he was far enough from the station. One ship, the targeting computers identified it as a Lokuss type scout ship, had already started firing. Too bad his puny plasma rounds bounced off of Kovacs' shields.
Disengaging flight assist, he rotated around to attain a lock, burst lasers already chewed through their barriers in an instant. The other two hunters closed, joining the fray. </"You cannot escape!"/> one cried over the open channels.
Kovacs' response was to unleash a wave of Pack-Hound missiles, dozens of the three metre long munitions filling the space between them like something out of a 20th Century anime. The Lokuss was hit by two missiles, all but disintegrating as they blew the much smaller vessel apart. The next victim was cored by an accelerator shot through the canopy, the spinal plasma projector cannon making short work of the largest ship of the three.
The last one was shredded by laser, lasting longer than the other two based on maneuverability alone. He wasn't flying with shields, the poor sod.
Defense successful, Kovacs pointed his ship at the next system on his route, stowing his hardpoints as he reengaged flight assist. Then he jumped.

"Calm down Kove, and I was using my head. My head said that I should amp up the fun. So I pulled out the first bounty hunting poster I could find, it just happened to be yours." Jet said as he shrugged his shoulders, or as much of a shrug as he could muster. "That was a pretty cool dogfight though, why don't you do cool @#$% like that more often?", without receiving an answer, Jet walked back to his room to set up all of the new stuff he bought.
After setting up all of the posters and the pillows on his bed, he rigged the holo-tele and watched a couple of movies on it. He preceded to walk out of his room and over to the window to look out at the stars. He began daydreaming and eventually fell asleep, laying next to the window.
"Nice one kid, you did it exactly like you were supposed to" whispered the hallucination of his father that floated around in his dreams. "You really gave it to them, very manly, if I do say so myself...but still not as manly as some of the stuff I have done" scoffed Father, "Pfft, yea right pops, did you see my leap!? That was like the kind of stuff you would see on the holo-tele!" chuckled Jet, who was followed by his dad. "Well you best be waking up now, that stick in the mud might get mad at you, and remember Gallatron 5."
Jet woke up 2 hours later and walked around the ship, looking for Ellen. He tried making sure she wasn't near his room or his weights. "Maybe this one has manners" Jet said, looking at his hand, remembering the time the spider-lady drooled on it.

Kovacs shook his head as Jet walked out. The man was wild, and while he had some redeeming qualities, the poor ones far outweighed the good ones. Really, the only reason why he was still on this ship was because his old one was used to save Kovacs' life. He was in Jet's debt.
Setting the computer to autopilot, as he didn't have to worry about interdictions or hazardous stellar bodies this far out, he went to find Ellen while Jet still slept. He still needed to learn what she meant by "fertilize my eggs," even though it was probably exactly how it sounds.

Ellen
For the spider lady, she went ahead and explored the ship, curious in whats inside. She explored every nook and cranny in the place enjoying in what she was able to find. The only the place she didn't enjoy was Jet's room and his weight room, it just smelled like what one would think it would smell like. Like ass and sweat, in which she didn't enjoy at all as she continues to suckle on the diamond she took.
She soon found a nice little dark room, which was an unused storage room, really used to hold like cleaning supplies and such things if it was used. She went ahead and spun a web elevated off the ground which was her bed. She then scurried over to the other corner in where she laid her clutch of eggs all together in a small web cocoon with a small slit showing the eggs and ready to be zipped up, waiting for its "depositor" before having the web cocoon closed. After laying her eggs, she went back to her large web and began knitting her web into something, before putting it off to the side and went ahead and sleep in her new room.

Kovacs stopped by the AI core, the setup defunct without a proper AI to inhabit it. This was one of the only truly off-limits areas of the ship, accessible only by him. He didn't trust his guests to not desecrate ANDE's tomb. One couldn't help but think back to when he first met her, the silly thing introduced herself as "Advanced Network Defense Entity." She hadn't even chosen a name.
The commander thought back to when she first got a simulacrum body. It was derived from the MRVN chassis, but enhanced in order to better match the human body. It was a gift from Montgomery Vinson, CEO of Vinson Dynamics, after they had single-handedly saved his son from slavery. Seeing her mangled body in its maintenance manifold served as a reminder that some people simply weren't meant for love.
Shaking himself from his reverie, he walked out of the chamber, magnetically sealing it in order to prevent Jet from entering. Kovacs carried on, pulling up a usage schematic of the ship, and looking for the most recently activated corridors. Mr. Jackson never left the crew deck, so the service bays on engineering would be where he went; a storage unit was used fifteen minutes ago, and biosigns indicated that that was where Ellen was.
It wasn't long until he found himself standing outside - her lifesigns indicated that she had entered early stage sleep - debating whether or not to allow himself in. It was quite rude to intrude on someone in their private space, even in the military. Instead, he settled for a knock.

After confirming that Ellen had setup shop somewhere out of the way, Jet returned to his room to watch TV. After watching a couple of soap operas on the holo-tele, he began to think about his relationships. "There are two other people on this ship, and I am pretty sure both hate me. One is a spider-lady who I am frankly too racist to...I should ease up on that...and the other is cold militaristic lone wolf of a captain...great. The only reason he even lets me live here is that I have him my old ship. Maybe I should get to know him, play a couple of board games with them, what could go wrong?"
Jet walked around the crews quarters, looking for any sign of Kovacs or Ellen. After finding nothing, Jet continued to look up and down the ship for the other crew members. "Hey? You guys?", asked Jet as he walked around the lower decks and towards the cargo bay. After reaching the bay itself, Jet began to look around. Jet felt like a grain of sand in the large open room as containers filled with drinks, food, and other oddities lined the walls. Then he ran.
As if he was a child back in the jungle, he ran and jumped from pole to box as he let himself go. "I wonder if Kovacs could do this?"

Ellen
As she slept, she hand some wonderful dreams of eating whatever she wanted. From other insectoids up to a full fledge human being, all getting the her bite since like all spiders, she has one deadly neurotoxin in which caused her victims a very painful death in the matter of minutes. Luckly she can activate when the neurotoxin is active or not and so the drool that Jet got was quite harmless if his hand met his mouth anytime without washing his hands.
Hearing the knock caused her to come out of her little nap already drooling as her red eyes shone in the darkness of the storage room. She wipes her face and says "Come in" as she looks towards the door of the dark room. A light switch was somewhere around but she never bothered looking around for it as she remains nestled on her web wondering who it could be.
