The Darkest Minds is an apocalyptic books series pertaining to the children of America that are infected by a disease called IAAN, Idiopathic Adolescent Acute Neurodegeneration. A virus that originally killing at least 98% percent of the children,well the other percent gains peculiar abilities. The children that live through the pandemic that gained abilities are sent to 'rehabilitation camps', but these camps more resemble contraction or maybe intense boot camps. All of the children have a similar goal, escape.
This is a books series I began reading shortly after the first books release date. For a while I have wanted to role play this story, despite it being so large it's also surprisingly easy to follow. It's also fairly easy to manipulate by the characters in the stories and I think it could be really interesting and really intense. I will put a few of the things that will remain the same down below, these same things also helped the story progress very nicely and give a very strong since of paranoia and allow even more people to join.. it still could be a role play between myself and another very easily too. Also there are children being born with IAAN without the deadly virus before hand.
Roles to take in this world:
Children and colored categories:
Children that have lived through the virus and now have the IAAN disease that has five different types. It starts from pretty much harmless to deadly for others. Green, blue, yellow, red and orange.
*Children categorized as greens have a heightened intelligence as their power. Green is considered one of the less dangerous powers.
*Children categorized as blue have the power to move objects with their minds. Also known as telekinesis. Blue is considered one of the less dangerous powers.
*Children categorized as Yellows have the power to create and control electricity. Also known as electrokinesis. They are considered one of the more dangerous powers.
*Children categorized as reds have the power to create and control fire. Also known as pyrokinesis. Red is considered one of the more dangerous powers.
*Children categorized as Oranges have the power to control minds. They also have the ability to read, alter, and destroy memories. Orange is considered one of the more dangerous powers.

The Bad:
-Skip-Tracers; Skip tracers are basically bounty hunters. They are adults that go in search of kids with Psi abilities, capture them, and turn them in. To become a licensed skip tracer, you must turn in at least one Psi child.
-Psi Special Forces;Psi Special Forces is a group of men dedicated to the capture and in some cases extermination of all kids with Psi powers.
So that's it for right now~ Ah, there are, excuse me, there is an organization that's just a mess. There are people that agree with keeping the children safe, other that see them as something to use and others see them as a threat but good money. Also the president in this is NOT in any way a good man. Anyone interested?

Yay! The Darkest Minds paper back is somewhere around 6 to 7 dollars on Amazon, and that might be the best place to get the books. I haven't really seen the books on the shelves of any stores. And you can totally join! Thank you for being interested! Sorry, I recently woke up from an unexpected nap. Ah, the summer heat is not my friend.

Hmm, welps it depends on what you think would fit your character best. But yes you can have your character as a red or a yellow.

Sorry about that, I was editing the main post and may have re-posted the edited version. Anyways, as of now Ash is the first red, and my own character chubs is a blue. WOO! I may wait a little bit longer today to start the role-play just see who else wants to join us, okay?

You can make character per abilities you want. I'm trying to put as much detail as I can in the group informational page so it's easier to get into.
