(Hey this is a basic run down. First off ooc should be kept to a minimum but if it's needed for asking questions or clarify then just include in parentheses like this. A little more in depth in the settinh. The war has been going on for 23 years since king Leopold's death. Currently the cousin of the late king, Adrian, sits on the throne but most of the lands to the east being to Lady Yvaine. The spring festivle is a big event in Adrian's half of the kingdom. Because it is closer to the boarder than the capital, it is not uncommon for common folk from the Lady's lands to cross over to attend the event. It has cultural significance as it marks the point in the old religion's Holy calendar. My character will be from Adrian lands and it would help with planning if you include where your character hails from. If there are any questions feel free to ask.)

[Vergil will be serving as the personal escort of one of the marquess/high nobility that are working for the courts of Lady Yvaine. So he will be from the Eastern lands.]

Raquel walked behind her father's wagon running her fingers over the fox pelt she had in her hands. She was planning on what she'd do there; eat a fresh mulberry pie, see a magician preform, maybe even ride in a pony race if she could seek away from her father. She sighed, she'd have to earn money first before any of that. She tucked the pelt back into the wagon, hoping it would pick up some of the scent from the dried rose petals. She looked back up just in time to see the banner be raised over the entrance to the festival grounds.

Vergil was suited up and on his horse. The Marquess who shared a border territory had insisted that moving and mingling with the people at this "Grand Spring Festivle " would be good for relations and maybe bring a shorter end to the war. Also being a border territory they were seen more as neutral. Vergil kept his eyes out for bandits or worse a war party. They'd slowly make there way to the grounds of the celebrations. Hopefully all would go well.

There was a rustle in the trees maybe ten yards off the forest path. It seemed to have been made by something larger than a bird, maybe its a martin. A closer inspection is needed to find out what if anything is there.

Vergil halted his horse and the horse of his lord. He'd dismonunt. His sword drawn he'd begin to walk slowly to the sound of the noise. "Wait there" he'd instruct the lord. The lord insisted that it was just a bird or something and that he was being overly cautious.

When Vergil came too close, someone let down from the tree dagger drawn. The man was dressed in peasants rags but his stance and expression spoke of classical training in swordsmanship. He balanced on the balls of his heels ready to fight or flee.

Vergil jumped back and raised his shield in front of him "Hold fast there....We mean no harm. We are merely traveling" The noble spoke up. He would come up behind Vergil "Do you want coin? You must be hungry. Let us assist you"

The man looked back and for with between the two. It was a few moments before he lowered his dagger, but he didn't sheath it. He still looked like a horse ready to bolt but he spoke up with a far eastern accent "Whos are you 'nyway?"
