Classic Malefor (played by MauveStar98)

Artisans, a land of rolling green hills and ornate castles. This land was a sight to behold for anyone, be it elves, fairies, or even dragons. This was the center of the Dragon Realms, was bustling with people everyday. Shop-keepers, nobles, poets, you name it. They all resided with the country of Artisans.

Sheep bounced around those hills, as they searched for food. They were really harmless, innocent animals that wouldn't hurt a fly.

However, unknown to many there was evil that lurked within Artisans. Evil that could wipe out an entire race. This being was both ancient and feared, a power so great, it could cast a shadow upon the land. This particular villain was known as Malefor and he was The Shadow King. He was as powerful as the legends made him out to be, and was to be approached with caution. He was a Mystic Purple, the first Mystic Purple in fact. Malefor also used to be a hero, until his pride got the better of him and sought to become more powerful than he was originally.

As for the Mystic Purples, they were a race of dragons created long ago when the universe was still new. And were assigned to be it's guardians, a role with they greatly fulfilled. They had been imbued with great magical abilities, and were on par with the gods of other pantheons. These Mystic Purples had been a wise and benevolent races, preferring peace over violence. Before the war with the Arculets, Malefor had been banished to Outlands out of fear and hatred for what he had become after learning the dark arts. This had drove him mad, and had given him time to think about a new plan rather than universal conquest. But now they were gone and Malefor was back with a vengeance and ready to shroud the land in eternal darkness, so there was no one he thought could stop him.

And on one particular day in the home of the artisans, there is someone of notorious note.

He isn't hard to miss, darting in and out of the cloud-spotted skies on a magic carpet. With robes of blue and features obscured magically, it'd be hard to miss the unforgettable mystique that is a one of the thieves. Quickfoot, if that really is his name, is doing a fly over for a very particular and obvious purpose: treasure hunting.

Even though the clouds make decent cover, he's looking for something a bit more worth his time for the sake of stealth and wealth--mountains, however fleeting they are in this part of the land, are useful enough to make smuggling niches out of. The little humanoid hopes dearly, as he scans the land with care, that he can find that perfect spot in the land soon before the dragons send someone after him.

He's still rather sore about the last time a dragon chased him off, you see. It was off a ledge. On a platform. He'd hate to suffer the same fate from the safety of his flying carpet this time around.

From the shadows, Malefor could see a blue thief darting about in the skies, from where he was at. He was lurking near the castle. He would could be seen as a shadowy figure in the shadows.

He did nothing but observe the thief from afar, not even the dragons knew he was here. They feared him anyway, and would not dare to approach him. He was a powerful tyrant that ruled the Shadow Dragon race and all of Outlands.

"Come to me." A sinister voice lingered through the air, it would be loud enough to be heard even in the sky.
Quickfoot (played by Copper_Dragon)

Come to me.

Quickfoot, holding tightly to the handle bars of his make-shift 'vehicle', stops the carpet on a gem. It hovers high in the air, a speck in the sea of blue, should anyone look up. "... oooh boy," the little thief mutters to himself, to not one else in particular. "The treasure's talking to me again."

To most folks, such a statement would be worrisome, but to Quickfoot all it is is confirmation that he's going to have a successful day of thievery. It doesn't occur to him in the slightest that some banished tyrant may be trying to communicate.

So the little guy pats his carpet, and the flying carpet begins to take off again. Whoops, that probably wasn't as hook-line-and-sinking as Malefor wanted!

He noticed the blue thief leaving shortly after he stopped, well so much for that plan. It seemed he would have to follow the blue thief to where he was going.

Soon he emerged from the shadows, and flew after Quickfoot. "You there! I would like a word with you." He meant Quickfoot, the thief.

A large purple dragon had appeared behind him, he was of a darker shade than Spyro. His horns seemed to resemble that of a crown, he wore black armor over parts of his body (including his chest) and a flowing red cape that reached his tail.

This time there was definitely no way to ignore Malefor's intrusion. The flying carpet immediately freezes in place, taking to a hover once more. Its rider isn't entirely pleased to have his flight interrupted for any sort of reason, and he whirls around...

...and immediately regrets it. The beady white eyes of the wee thief widen considerably while his mouth drops open. He has no idea who Malefor is, but that matters not. The tyrant is a dragon, and dragons are never good news for one of the thieves.

"A-aw, c'mon!" the little man whines with a nervous warble in his tone. "I don't even have anything on me this time! C-can't you let a little guy just take a flight in your territory for once???" Sure enough he's being honest; his loot sack is surprisingly quite empty!

Malefor flew up close to Quickfoot, all he wanted to was talk with the thief. When the carpet stop, Malefor would also stop at the same time.

His reptilian yellow eyes glanced at the blue thief. Pity he wasn't known to this thief, had he even heard the stories? It had seemed not. He was known in other parts of the universe however.

"Relax, I'm not here for your precious riches. I'm here to strike a deal, team up with me and you can have wealth beyond your wildest imagination and in return I'll help you get rid of that pesky Spyro."
Quickfoot (played by Copper_Dragon)

"...." The egg thief looks... skeptical, which is honestly quite impressive when his only visible features are two eyes and a mouth. The eyes narrow down into thin slits, and his lips press together and quirk off to the side a little.

"Eeeeeh.... aren't you dragons all buddy-buddy with each other?" the little thief questions of Malefor, further hammering in his disbelief at the offer to give grief to one of Quickfoot's most unfavorable quadrupeds.

This thief dare to assume he was a friend of the dragons, in reality it was the opposite. He was an enemy to them. Besides that, he could be trusted by the thieves.

"Not all of us are buddy-buddy with each other, the dragons do have enemies like Toasty, Gnasty Gnorc, Ripto, The Sorcerer, and me. I am the oldest and most powerful evil there is in this universe. I am Malefor, perhaps you've heard of me" He spoke calmly to the thief, while also boasting about his status.
Quickfoot (played by Copper_Dragon)

Even more impressive than the doubt is now the stare of utter disbelief the thief is giving Malefor.

"Riiiiiight," the diminutive thief responds with a sarcastic bob of his head. "You're the biiiig ancient, evil villain here to claim waste to the land and conquer your enemies," Quickfoot snidely comments, still doubtful. "See, now Gnasty I've heard of, same with Ripto and some fat Sorceress from across the world. But you? Mister Big Bad Scary Dragon? Nyahahahahaha!" The thief cackles and snickers in that familiar, grating, high-pitched voice. "What could you do with little ol' me anyway? Us thieves aren't built for fighting dragons. Mild, barely impressive magic, itty bitty builds, and the tendency for our robes to catch on fire. Bad mix."

"No, but I can grant you use of my army of Goblins. They can fight Spyro for you." He said admitingly to Quickfoot.

"I can also grant you dark powers and fire-proof robes to help you combat the dragons. What do you say?" He was trying to manipulate the thief, because that who he was. He was a true monster unlike Gnasty Gnorc, Ripto, and the Sorceress.

And truth is, he didn't take kindly to the thief mocking him. He hated lesser races deep down, but was willing to work with them if need be.
Quickfoot (played by Copper_Dragon)

"Puh-lease," the thief remarks with a shake of his head. "Gnasty Gnorc had an army, Ripto had an army, the Sorceress had an army... why should anyone be impressed with yours, let alone bother risking my life with a little extra magic just so you can play the villain? I'm pretty content just nabbing an egg or some treasure and fleein'. Last time I ran into Spyro was a loooooong while ago, and I'm thankful that's the last time I've had to bump into him." Or Malefor himself, for that matter. Clearly he isn't winning Quickfoot over--either the thief is stubborn, or he's really just not that impressed by much! Goodness, with all the evils that kept springing up in his lifetime, it's probably safe to assume the little guy's seen what Spyro can do first hand all by the dragon's self.

"Besides," the thief thinks to add with a crossing of his arms and a frown. "Spyro once saved our den from a group of wizardly Ryptocs. That ain't half bad for a dragon that usually charges or roasts us."
Classic Malefor (played by MauveStar98) Topic Starter

"Why? Because I am taught them all the weakness of a dragon and taught them how to use magic. I bet you Gnasty's, Ripto's army, and The Sorcerss's army don't know magic now do they? That is why my army is superior to theirs." Malefor said with pride, he was trying to prove a point. Let's hope this impressed the thief.

"And if you don't want to risk your life, perhaps you can steal the latest patch of dragon eggs. How does that sound?" He hoped this would win Quickfoot over to his side.

Al he wanted was Spyro destroyed, or turned over to his side. He also hadn't encountered Spyro in awhile, thankfully.
Quickfoot (played by Copper_Dragon)

Now Quickfoot takes to leaning upon the handlebars of his flying carpet, not having changed his tune in the slightest. This is some sort of greater evil? This guy? Ripto could put on a better show of villainy, and he was as small as one of the thieves!

"... Gnasty knew magic himself, as did Ripto and the Sorceress," Quickfoot notes with a bob of his head, "but so did some of the latter two's troops. As I saiiiiid, we asked Spyro to take care of some magic-y Riptocs once." The little man grins at Malefor and gives his carpet a nudge. Slowly the flying piece of fabric starts to float away. "Buuuuut all that said and done, you're not very impressive, mister! Even for a dragon! But stealing eggs sure does sound worth my while! Maybe I can take 'em back to the Den, so me and my sort and divvy up the profits from selling them!"

Oh... that's probably not what Malefor was banking on, either. Thieves, being selfish and looking out for themselves? What a huge surprise.

It seemed as if Quickfoot had not heard of the stories surrounding Malefor or even knew how terrifying of a monster he could be. Ripto's evil paled in comparison to his, he was the great evil in this universe. Everyone who knew of Malefor, feared him.

To bad Gnasty or Ripto had never even heard of him, but on the other hand The Sorceress had, and feared this equal to her. He respected The Sorceress, she was the only one that rivaled him in terms of power.

He was also surprised at this revelation, he hadn't been expecting to hear this. "This I did not expect, no matter I would like to see this Ripto. Whoever he may be, I will see to it that he slaughtered." Yes. Malefor was a cold blooded killer, just like The Sorceress. He bet not even Ripto could murder another, that is where he had the edge.

Not impressive? That was an insult to his pride, he now felt like killing someone, namely one of his minions later. "You want to say that to me again?!" He boomed in a loud voice. "If you want impressive, I will show you a display of my immense power."
Quickfoot (played by Copper_Dragon)

"Yaaaa-awn," the wee thief mimics a false, bored yawn. He even puts a hand to his mouth to stifle it! "Ripto's been gone a long time now. Spyro took care of him not long after he cleared the Riptocs out of our den!" The little man shrugs to himself and eases back to a full sit on his carpet.

"And fraaankly, the show of immense power is where you should've started off! Most dragons would've eaten me a while ago instead of boasting hot air like Blowhard!" Quickfoot calls back to Malefor.

"Screw it. I will demonstrate my power now, rather than keeping you waiting any longer." Without further ado, Malefor became shrouded in black aura, he was calling upon his full power. He had never really used his full power before, until now.

As soon he was done powering up, he let out a huge purple beam from his mouth. It was aimed toward the ground, when it hit a portal to another dimension was opened up. From the portal, nightmarish creatures walked out. "Alright, move out and enslave everyone you come across. If they resist, kill them." He gave the order these nightmarish monsters that had showed up, Malefor had created them long ago.

He was a tyrant first, and psychopathic killer second. He was soon about to show Quickfoot just how terrifying he could be.
Alayla (played by DancingDawn)

As it happens, Alayla was just walking calmly around, minding her own business, when suddenly something hits the ground, making her throw herself out of the way. Ends up behind a tree. Stays there and watches all the creatures ush out the portal. She gets back up on her feet. She's in her humanform. She looks to the sky, where normal people would probably look to the ground, but she's not normal is she?

She almost breathes fire by the sight, but tries to calm down the anger inside her, which is raging like a storm. Malefor. It isn't the best idea to fry the village more. Her sheer breathe could destroy everything. Even her damn sneezes can be lethal. Continues to hide behind the tree, and uses her power og substance mimicry to completely disappear, while she thinks about what to do. The screams distract her thinking. This is bad. She has to get her feelings under control. Decides to take a step out and sneak up on them, still on the ground though. "At it again, are we Malefor? Not enough power? Or perhaps not enough brain?" Is this sheer bravery or stupidity? What human would dare insult Malefor?
