Xelera flinched, Good job. she scolded herself again. "Y-yea..well...not really..I'm not labelled as anything other than the kings daughter. No one calls me princess..." she said awkwardly, blushing a bit.
Lucia just looked at her for a moment. Then he smiled.
"Princess Xelera... I like it. Sounds exotic and cool."
"Princess Xelera... I like it. Sounds exotic and cool."
She blushed slightly, shaking her head. "I-I'm not a princess" she chuckled, yawning slightly.
He chuckled and closed his eyes. "Whatever you say Xel... I'll see you in the morning..." And with that, he drifted off to sleep.
She glanced at him as he slept, frowning slightly. She was a tad scared of these feelings he was awakening in her, he made her nervous, and he made her lose focus. Two things she couldn't afford to lose right now. She sat up, sighing heavily as she watched over the camp as he slept.
Is it so bad? came that little voice in her head. The one that made ehr doubt how she felt at times. Look at him, he's perfect...
She glanced at him again, listening to the little voice. He was attractive, she'd give him that. He was nice, smart, and sweet. But... she thought, watching him as he slept. I don't want to get hurt. she thought sadly, looking away.
As the night moved on, eventually, around midnight, Lucia stirred and sat up. Walking over to the fire he stired it a bit and sat next to Xelera.
"Hey, how you doing?" He asked, the fire making his golden eyes glow.
"Hey, how you doing?" He asked, the fire making his golden eyes glow.
Xelera had been starting to nod off and looked up, "I'm fine." she said, shaking her head slightly trying to make her tiredness go away.
He nodded and looked forwards, out at the town.
"... I had an idea... about the riddle." He said, glancing at her.
"... I had an idea... about the riddle." He said, glancing at her.
"Oh?" she asked, looking up at him, "What was it?" she tilted her head slightly.
"Well... if you think about it. Water. Water brings life, it sustains life... Many creatures are made up of a lot of water." He frowned. "And now that I think about it there was a well in the middle of the town... Maybe we should do that?"
She looked at him and grinned, "You're right! Why didn't I think of that!?" her mood seemed to brighten some, she stood and then looked down at him. "Lets go, right now." she said, holding out her hand.
Lucia smiled and stood, taking her hand and then pulling one of the trunks up with a strap he had made over his shoulder. "Let's break this bank!" He said with a grin.
She grabbed her bow and some of the other things, and then looked at Lucia before walking towards the town. She pushed her fear aside, her goal to get out of here her first priority.
They made it to the town, and the darkness had set in, making everything look creepy and dreary. The whispers wer still there, and shadows seemed to move. Lucia pointed ahead to the well he'd spotted. "Come on, I haven't checked it but there should be water there."
Xelera nodded, keeping close to him. Her confidence had dwindled slightly once they were in town and everything was dark. She followed him over to the well, and glanced around them.
There was a bucket, adn Lucia set down the trunk for a moment to look down the well. "We got water..." He said, and began to lower the bucket into it.
(1d10 please)
(1d10 please)
She smiled nervously, "Good, so far so good." she said, hoping nothing else goes wrong like it did last time.
rolled 1d10 and got 2
THere was a sudden wail cut through the air. The doors on the houses nearby started flapping, and the cold wind picked up suddenly. A dead chill set on htem, and the moaning sounds began to come from the ground. Lucia looked around.
"... aw hell..."
"... aw hell..."
