"My friends are important to me..." he said, his arm over her shoulder (For balance purposes only he assured you) and limping along. "Anyone who threatens them I'll go to war for."

She glanced up at him and smiled, "Thanks, it means a lot to me still. I didn't really have friends.." she said, looking back forward.

"Been there, done that. Trust me..." Lucia looked ahead as well. "... how long were we gone? I mean... you said it never really got cold here?"

She frowned slightly, "I'd say about six months.." she said, thinking on the time the different seasons would start. "Big difference from what I thought was a week at best." she said softly, looking down. The cave finally came into sight, and Xelera led him inside. When they were in far enough, the darkness slowly lit up as the stalagmites glowed a soft blue color. It was quiet, except for a constant dripping noise from where a small pool was inside the cave.

"Six months... what was the last thing you remember? Before you were drug into that maze?"

Lucia sat down, resting his back against the stone wall. "I was going through a tunnel on my way home... It got dark and I ended up in a forest with no way back..."

She thought about it for a moment, "I remember getting ready for bed..I was asleep..and then I woke up in a white room, with one door. There was a note and then a message on the door...At first it wouldn't open..but then it opened by itself and that's where I ran into you." she said, sitting down beside him.

Lucia nodded.

"... I honestly can't think of what could have happened. Or who could have set you up after you disappeared. Is there anyone else who would proffit form you and your brother being out of the picture?"

She shook her head, "My people aren't like that, we are not ran by greed." she said, "what if whoever sent us to that maze killed my brother? It happened the same night I disappeared according to my father.."

"Nothing's impossible, but it doens' make sense..." He sighed and shook his head. "But few things ever makes sense actually.."

She glanced at him, still frowning "Are you alright? I mean, you did get roughed up a bit back in that maze.."

"I'm just tired. I think I used my shadow to jump us about a mlie out of town... I don't do that often and it took the wind out of me... I should be good after a bit of rest..." His head lolled back and leaned against the wall.

"You rest then..I'll keep watch, though no one has any idea this place is even here.." she said softly, leaning back against the rock as well.

"Thank you... Xel..." He muttered before falling off to sleep.

She sat and watched him sleep for awhile, before getting up and checking out the cave. She found her old drawings on one of the stone walls and smiled slightly, running her fingers across them. She was a horrible drawer, at least compared to Lucia. She remembered the picture he had drawn of her while she was sleeping, blushing slightly.

"You should have kissed him for real." That pesky little voice in the back of her head said.

She glanced over at Lucia, and frowned slightly. 'What? No..we're just friends..' she thought to herself. Though she would be lying if she said she hadn't thought about it.

"And your hair is the color of the night sky. He LIKES you! Surely you can see that! He stood up to your father!"

She chewed on her bottom lip some, staring at Lucia as that voice tried to argue with her. 'Of course he likes me, I'm his friend. It's not like he is falling for me..' she retorted.

"DO friends risk their lives for others, draw pictures of you, and look disapointed when you kiss them on the cheek?"

She frowned slightly, 'I-I don't know!' she thought, rubbing the back of her neck. Could she even afford to fall for someone right now?
