I feel like Before Dawn might get game of the year for Playstation this year. I'm not sure if an exclusive has ever gotten a game of the year, but I feel as if they could. If exclusives cannot receive the game of the year award, I would say that Fallout Four is going to have a shot.

It is also too early to tell which game will get game of the year, since there have not been enough games released this year to be able to get it. The best time to do it, would be in late winter/summer depending on where you live. If you live in the Northern Hemisphere, then it would be winter. If you live in the southern hemisphere, then it would be summer. It is just how the Earth functions is all.

Edit: Exclusives can be given the Game of the Year award, as it is not multi-platform games, such as Call of Duty, Modern Warfare, The Walking Dead (the telltales games two part series.)
